Darling Ladies ... I wish us all luck on this new thread (especially me!) ... I hope that we have the same great amount of graduates that the last thread had!

So, group hug and let's get to it! Wooo Wooooo!!!!

OP posts:
codswallop · 06/09/2004 17:25

cd what are you doing ton this thread?

CountessDracula · 06/09/2004 17:26

What do you think?!?!?!

krocket · 06/09/2004 17:27

coddy what are YOU doing on this thread?!

CountessDracula · 06/09/2004 17:27

OMG do you think La Cod is going for 4????

tex111 · 06/09/2004 17:33

Smelly, don't frighten me!! Twins would be wonderful but I think DH would want to sell one on Ebay. I was using some super sensitive tests and I did get an early + with DS but... who knows. I guess I'll find out in about 6 weeks when we have a scan.

CountessD, it is like learning another language isn't it? I think there's a glossary on the site somewhere but:

CD - Cycle Day, the day your period arrives is CD1
AF - Aunt Flo, or period
BD - baby dancing as in sex
OPK - ovulation predictor kit
CBE - Clear Blue Easy home pregnancy test
FR - First Response home pregnancy test
HPT - home pregnancy test
dpo - number of days post ovulation

That's all I can think of right now. Hope it helps.

Welcome all newbies and best of luck!!

ebbie22 · 06/09/2004 17:38

So if im on cd 5,when should i be most fertile?

Hulababy · 06/09/2004 18:37

Hi all. I am going to come clean and own up to my real MN on here. I have been trying to use a different name on the conception boards ? DaisyDuck ? but seem to find it way too hard, mixing up names of posts all over. It?s just not going to work. Was trying to hide my identity for a while when ttc as I know people in L who may see this, but have decided that I don?t care anymore. I want to use MN for advice and support and can do that far easier using my proper Mn name.

So good luck everyone, and hope we are all successful soon.

Twiga · 06/09/2004 20:25

Ebbie22, are you wanting these opks? No preassure!

bluestar · 06/09/2004 21:56

Tex111, wow, another one leaving me, not that I've been around much recently, have to use home internet these days and not daily at work since I no longer have a job! Hope all works out for you.

krocket, know how you feel. I too will have at least a 4 year gap and that's increasing by the month! Most of my friends have had #2 and are thinking about #3. One day it will be our turn..

Twiga · 06/09/2004 22:26

No sign of AF here - feeling sick again tonight, so hoping this is it, no patience though, wish it was friday already. Dh on night shift, very bored! Going to hang off testing until friday, took me about four days after AF due until I got a BFP last time, might have a sneak test tommorrow if my sensitive test turn up in the post, probably shouldn't though.

Tania2 · 07/09/2004 06:50

Hi all, Hope everyone is well. Welcome to all new mn ttc hope you have some luck on this thread.
Good luck Twiga really hope your pg but cant believe that another one is leaving me. feel as though i have been on this thread forever. (8 months) this will be my 10th month of ttc. currently on CD7 made an appointment with a natrapath for tomorrow she has a 99% success rate with fertility. the 1% didn't continue with the treatment. really looking forward to it she will asses my diet, health etc and give me a massage and realinement, mostley looking forward to the massage though but not looking forward to the yucky drops etc. has anyone else tried this?

krocket · 07/09/2004 07:20

good luck twiga!

bluestar, it's difficult isn't it - I have become obsessed between age gaps between children. I guess we just have to keep going and soon it will happen. x

krocket · 07/09/2004 07:21

tania2 - that sounds interesting. Where did you find your natrapath? it will be your turn soon.

Tania2 · 07/09/2004 07:41

krocket ~ My girlfriend. she had heard alot of success stories thru word of mouth. would love to give you her number but unless you want to go on a holiday to australia it wont be much use. but i am sure someone on mn would know of one. I will let you know how i go.

Tania2 · 07/09/2004 08:05

IKWYM Kroket & Bluestar about the age gap thing we originally wanted a 3 yr gap then changed our minds and wanted a 2 yr gap ds will be 2 in November so lucky we changed our mind. you can really do your head in counting the age gap thing. there are pro's and con's to both. I think there is a thread on mn in relation to this subject its a really interesting read.

tex111 · 07/09/2004 08:16

Hi ladies, just thought I would pass on my experience with the Medisave tests. I've found that the test line doesn't get very dark like store-bought tests and you really do need to wait the full three minutes (if not a bit longer) for the result. I actually threw my first + in the bin thinking that it was a BFN. A few hours later (being the sad obsessed person I am ) I dug it out to have another look and lo and behold there was a very very light line! That was at 8dpo which is just amazing that it was so early. The test line has gotten darker over the last few days but nothing like as dark as the control line. Just thought that info might be useful to all those using the tests!

Good luck Twiga!! Sending you lots of baby vibes!!

Twiga · 07/09/2004 09:55

Morning! Thanks for the tip Tex111, I've not seen a positive on any other test as was using medisave ones when I got my last BFP, was also in Spain so didn't think to buy a different one to compare to - I do however have a Predictor test in the cupboard so if/when it looks like I might have a result, I'll compare the two. Postman still not arrived.....trying to be sensible about this, symptoms could be sign of anything at this point, chest feeling huge though, going to feel really silly if not pg. Tania2 I've not left yet and if I do get a good reslut I'm still going to be over here on a regular basis cheering you guys on +++++++++! Thanks for bearing with me, it's going to be a long few days.

ebbie22 · 07/09/2004 14:37

hi have sent you a email....how are you all feeling today?

Morgan · 07/09/2004 19:02

Ikwym too Krocket and Bluestar as DS is 3 in a couple of weeks he will be at least almost 4 if he has a sibling. All of my friends already have two as well - it is hard to deal with!! I am v grateful for my one though of course.

bluestar · 07/09/2004 20:27

I feel like I have been here forever too! So many people keep leaving me! Probably be here next month too as went from being obsessed to completely unfocused - no temping (and had completed at least 10 temp cycles too!) and no OPK, no monitoring of cm either. Have literally just picked a guestimate of likely ov and bd twice at that time. My cycles are pretty irregular too so a hit & miss this month. Feels good though to actually be quite chilled about it all, no obsessing over tiny signs as really don't know when I ovd. AF due early next week.

LucieB · 07/09/2004 20:30

Hi everyone. I am now CD 28 and dpo 9 and no sign of AF. Had an 'o' sign on my persona (first month of using it since having dd) but had cramps two days ago and tested - a BFN. However, am thinking perhaps I tested too early as ovulated on days 19 and 20...what do you think? Thought I had period pain Sunday and Monday but feel fine today. Can't help getting my hopes up.....

Hulababy · 07/09/2004 20:42

I am having a really bad start to this ttc right now. I want to do temping, although will also be ttc at same time - can't see point in putting that off whilst temping. However, I took the last pill in my pack last Thursday and still no AF. I have had the odd strange AF - very light/almost not there, very late, etc. - before whilst on pill. BUt it makes it virtually impossible to determine CD1!!! Not sure what I do about that if AF doesn't arrive in the next day or two.

Twiga · 07/09/2004 22:22

Hi all, just checking in before I'm off to bed. Well, still no sign of af or af syptoms here - trying to stay cool and calm. Will definately test at weekend if af a no show.

Ebbie22, have emailed you, will post opks tommorrow at some point, have meetings during the day so will get away from unit and to post office on the way.

{{{{{Hugs}}}}} to everyone who's feeling a bit down . You guys that haven't posted for a few days (you know who you are) how are ya? Anyone got any exciting news?
