Darling Ladies ... I wish us all luck on this new thread (especially me!) ... I hope that we have the same great amount of graduates that the last thread had!

So, group hug and let's get to it! Wooo Wooooo!!!!

Oh also, fingers crossed for you Twiga

CountessDracula · 06/09/2004 09:57

Errr, can I join you please!?

I think dd being 2 has really tipped the scales in favour of having another despite the risks after scary first birth. So, dh and I have been going for it this month! Not holding out much hope as took 3 years to conceive dd but thought I would come and join you anyway.

OH NO I DON'T WANT TWINS!

Twiga · 06/09/2004 10:10

Welcome CountessDracula, always good to have new blood so to speak ! Here's hoping for a shorter ttc this time round for you +++++*!

Girls I'm in a real tizz, really hoping this is me pg but am also really scared that i'm in for a huge disapointment again. Not helped by the fact that medisave got my order wrong and have sent me ovulation tests not sensitive pg tests - the invoice is right but the contents wrong - ovulation tests are no help to me just now - aaaaaaaaaargh! Have felt sick the past couple of mornings and feel healthy enough so hoping it's not just a sick bug! Pants, wish it was friday already....

smellymelly · 06/09/2004 10:14

Tex111 - Fantastic news - A positive is a positive!!!!

I'm so pleased for you -Good luck!

tex111 · 06/09/2004 10:51

Hi gals, I'm still getting the light positives so not giving up hope yet but I would feel better if they were darker.

Twiga, sounds like things are going well for you. How annoying that you got OPKs instead of HPTs! Your symptoms sound great though. You might just have to go splurge on a CBE!

Welcome CountessDracula and best of luck to you! It took us almost a year to get pregant first time around, one month second time and (if things keep going well) two months this time. Hope you're pg very soon!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I seem to have tunnel vision at the moment and can't think of anything but these tests. Will hopefully be able to confirm one way or the other by Friday.

Twiga · 06/09/2004 11:05

Tex111 sorry to be thick but what's a CBE?

runtus · 06/09/2004 11:30

I was going to ask that!

ebbie22 · 06/09/2004 11:47

ebbie22 · 06/09/2004 11:47

good luck twiga too,and everyone else..

Twiga · 06/09/2004 12:37

Yeh! Runtus it's not just me, lets hope it's something exciting and maybe involving chocolate!?!

Ebbie22 - not sure but doesn't sound too comfy hope you're ok.

Does anyone want 10 opks? Medisave have sorted out my order, very swiftly I might add and I should have my hpts by tommorrow. I won't use the opks even if I'm not pg this month, so they are free to a good home. Let me know.

ebbie22 · 06/09/2004 12:42

yeah what are they twiga?is that the tests that do your dates..etc?

ebbie22 · 06/09/2004 12:43

if you dont mind....I could do with anything to try...am out for a while now...

Twiga · 06/09/2004 12:51

Ebbie22 - you're more than welcome - contact me via CAT and I'll send them out. To give you the formal speil: "The LH one step ovulation test device is a complete system to help predict the time of ovulation and peak fertility...detects the LH surge in urine signalling that ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24-36hrs." The only thing you'll need is a plastic container to wee into - disposable drinks cups are the cheapest option. Have all the instructions etc and I'm sure that someone on here who uses opks can give you some further chat.

Bibi20 · 06/09/2004 14:17

Not sure, but think Tex might have meant CBD - Clear Blue Digital, this one says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' so no holding up to the light necessary!! Fingers crossed for you Twiga!

Tex - sounds like very good news - congratulations!

...and sorry ebbie but no idea what your symptoms are about - hope not too uncomfortable...

I'm 4-6 dpo and woke up in the night thinking I was going to be sick - obviously my sub-conscious is working overtime - here we go again...

tex111 · 06/09/2004 14:46

Oops! Sorry to post and disappear. I meant Clear Blue Easy test but Clear Blue Digital would be even better. I might have to try one of those myself.

Twiga, it sounds like you won't be needing to anyway now that Medisave have sorted it out. They're really great. I'll be passing their details to all my friends who are ttc. So maybe you should get something chocolatey instead (she says while munching on Smarties ).

Ebbie don't know about those symptoms but hope you feel better soon.

tex111 · 06/09/2004 15:42

Wanted to add that I did a Medisave and a First Response test today and they were both definite +++!! I can barely believe it. I don't think I'll relax until after our 8 week scan (because of the m/c). I just want to know that this one is a keeper. Signs are good so far. I didn't get a light +++ until 12dpo with the m/c and this one was at 8dpo. I'm also already starting to feel a bit tired and sicky and I had very little of that with the previous pg. I'm skipping over to the May board now with my fingers crossed but will be checking in on you guys! Lots of ~~~~~~~~~** (that's supposed to be baby dust ) to everyone!!

tex111 · 06/09/2004 15:44

Yep, me again.... just wanted to say that I had early +++ and really bad morning sickness with DS. That's why I think it's a good sign for me but women are all different!

krocket · 06/09/2004 15:58

oh tex that's great news, good for you. I've been staying away for a while as trying to stop my obsessiveness with ttc IFYKWIM. 4 month of trying - currently CD19 (of 28/29 day cycle). 99.9% sure not pregnant as am already getting signs of AF (they are always exactly the same). Having to reconcile myself to there being atleast a 4 year gap between DS1 and next one. I konw i'm lucky to even have one but feel like I am the only one of all my friends without number 2. It's exhausting though isn't it? doing the BD all the time? I missed crucial CD14 this month as I was away :(
(used to be katierocket BTW)

DaisyDuck · 06/09/2004 16:57

Welcome CD. I am new to all this this month having made a quite sudden decision to try for a second. My daughter is also 2 - maybe it is some hormone kick we get! Also took me quite a while to concieve first time round (as said below) - hoping it will be shorter this time. Not started ttc yet - af due this week after finishing last pack of pill last week.

Just bought a BBT thermometer today so I can start recording. As I said willing to give anything a try. Fingers crossed - to everyone.

BeckiF · 06/09/2004 17:00

Hi Ladies - did the weekly test at the weekend ond got the usual bfn. Not surprised though...have been bd-ing a plenty though. Still on the 6 x Metformin a day, haven't lost anymore weight but haven't put it back on either. Engagement party is in 3 and a bit weeks and then we are on hols the week after for 2 weeks. Still no AF, so that really must be almost the 12 months.....

Hey Tex111 - As you have had such an early positive maybe you are having twins!?!?!

I had a positive on 9dpo (I think - it's a bit of a blur now), but it was 5 days before af was due.

CountessDracula · 06/09/2004 17:23

can someone tell me what all these things are

OPK
CBE
CD
etc

Sorry!
