Hello all

Haven't been checking for a few days, I seem to have missed lots!

Firstly - I'm sorry to see you taking a break, Rah, but I can completely understand why - however hard the decision to take a break is, relaxation from the frantic TTC does seem to help. I hope all goes well at the fertily appointment in July - that is really not long away now!

Beany - Congratulations! Glad to hear you feeling that this time is different - when you feel ready come over the TTC graduates thread and we'll look after you. Do you think they'll give you an early scan? Keeping everything crossed for you.

Mum03 - keeping everything crossed for you too! hope this time is right for you! Don't feel you need to give up because of your age - many women have children into their 40's nowadays. My mum had my younger brother at 39, which 25 years ago, was ancient - now it is probably about normal!!. Take care of yourself and keep positive

Ready - Sorry you don't think this month was right - hopefully next month will be better. i think you sound as if you are under a bit of outside TTC stress, which can't be helping. remember to look after yourself!

MrsMc - I'll obviously see you on the other thread, but just wanted to say that I don't think there is any hard and fast rule what temps should do once pg as long as they stay above your coverline. The only time to start worrying I would say if there was a progressive steep decline in temps over a short amount of time. Up and down fluctuations will be nothing more, than external factors, such as the weather and how well you slept etc, I would think.

Hope everyone else is doing well?

take care all.
xxx

Congrats to beansprout. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Sorry to see you back at the top mum03. I thought it was looking promising for you this month.

Well I am off to see my GP on Tuesday. My last cycle was 28 days, but I was bleeding for 14 of them. This month I've had an odd AF - 1 day of normal af and then just spotting. Also my temp is so erratic. It is fluctuating wildly between pre and post OV temps. Previously it is always consistently low during this part of my cycle. I'm worried that I'm not OVing, so I'm going to ask for blood tests to find out. Also I've bought some OPKs for the 1st time to see if that sheds any light on the problem. And to make matters worse I've got a throbbing pain just inside my right hip. I'm wondering if I've got an ovarian cyst - maybe that would explain the pain and frequent spotting.

Anyway, enough moaning from me. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend.

NappyValley · 27/05/2007 22:12

Sorry Mum03 that you are back to the top but at least there are some of us left to support each other. We'll need some new recruits again soon! But hey maybe this is our lucky month.

Jess best of luck at the docs. Keep us posted. 14 days of AF that is just madness. Sounds like your body really is not happy at the mo. I hope the doc is supportive and sympathetic.

Hi girls - anyone remember me?
Well I've cracked early and I'm back. Thought I'd be 8DPO now but turns out I'm only 5 DPO according to software. I'm not entirely convinced about my sudden drop to 36.4 on Wed being accurately taken and this is the temp that's changed everything...
But I also had a big dip yesterday under the cover line which is worrying. This morning it's gone back up to 37 again - I wish I knew what on earth was going on, maybe I'm in the minority of women who have crazy BBT and you can't read anything into them...
Here is my chart, I would gratefully receive any opinions:
www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1a71bd
As for Imanginary Symptom spotting - lots of creamy CM since Tues (which is apparently BEFORE I ovulated so obviously means diddly squat...{smile]) and regular crampy feelings. Also have Strong Imginary Nausea this morning. Boobs a bit tingly but to be honest were way sorer prior to Ov.

Right! enough crazy waffle, will try to get on with some work. Have exams to write, yipee...

PS CONGRATS BEANSPROUT

I have found that I have ewcm which turns creamy a couple of days before temp rise. I always thought that OV occurred on the last day of the ewcm, but often this disagrees with the OV date which fertility friend suggests based on temps. So, I often find myself unsure of how many dpo I am.

I had problems last month with FF swapping around my OV date. After a few more days of temps though it settled on a date which I pretty much agreed with.

If I find I have an unexpected low temp I usually take it again immediately afterwards to see if it's the same.

I'm probably not the best person to give advice on temping, since I am often complaining about my erratic temps . I am always changing my temp technique too. I used to switch the thermometer on then put it in my mouth and just take the first reading. Then I decided to warm it up in my mouth for a short while then switch it on. With both methods I was having problems with the thermometer taking nearly 2mins to beep (or sometimes switching itself off). So now I put it in my mouth (firmly under my tongue) and then I time 1 min before switching it on. Now it only takes 30-45secs before it beeps. However now my temps are higher than they used to be. So now it looks like my temps haven't fallen from last months post-OV phase.

I actually hate my thermometer. I often consider throwing it in the bin (or smashing it to pieces), but overall when I look back at my charts it has been helpful .

Took the weekend off and I come back to lovely Beansprout news ! All fine with me, some MS kicking in and some backache but I seem to be doing well on the meds even if I do look like a bruised boiled egg

Oh Beansprout many, many congratulations hon! wishing you a long, safe, healthy and boring pregnancy! Just take each day as it comes. We are here for you wherever you want to chat!

Hey Nappy how are you? Ready?s right (of course! ) I?ve heard that that agnus-cactus stuff can be dangerous if not taken properly so please don?t take it without advice I took vit B6 200mg pre OV, seemed to increase my LP from 10 to 12 days (though I guess that could have happened for lots of reasons ? I?ve taken Pregnacare since last June). You can?t underestimate the power of MN, I regularly cry and laugh and think about you all ?off air?

Ready ? what?s new with you?

Hey Fettleandbluemini thanks for the reassurance hon. I know you are right. Yesterday was 31dpo last time, that is when I had my first bleed (Valentine?s Day) the MC started on 45dpo so I guess I want to temp until then to get past that mental hurdle more than anything.

Sorry Mum03 sending huge hug, virtual chocs and wine and very best of wishes for this cycle.

Hey Jess hope the GP appointment goes well. It certainly sounds odd, I?m sure you won?t but make notes before and when you are there and don?t take no for an answer. Will be thinking of you

Hey again Basil

Can't stop shaking

Basil - saw your other post - keep that parcel moving!

basilbrush · 29/05/2007 10:49

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1a71bd

This means that I can't be only 6DPO right? and that I ovulated earlier than FF is showing?

mum03 · 29/05/2007 13:09

Basilbrush - big congratulations.... and yes you must have ovulated earlier and ignore that big dip 6 days ago. Great news.
