Rahrah - will miss you but completely understand you needing a break. Please look after yourself and come back when you are ready.

Jess - glad your temp has gone down. It's unnerving when our bodies don't play by the rules!

Basil - I am no expert but are you taking your temp at the same time every day and doing it before you do absolutely anything else, inc having the thermometer within arm's reach? That is the explanation a lot of the sites give for what you are describing. Other than that, you need someone who actually knows what they are talking about (not me then).

Temp has gone back up this morning, which is a relief. Am getting into testing territory but can't bear to see another madness inducing faint line so will hang on. Had a lot of cramping yesterday but seems to have stopped today. Am keeping things crossed.

beansprout · 24/05/2007 10:18

Sorry Mrs McJnr, I didn't mean to ignore you, I hadn't seen your post!

I found out I was preg with ds at 4 weeks so had a long, agonising first trimester. The best advice I had at the time was to believe that I was pregnant and to have faith in the little feller. I don't know about temps post 5 weeks or so, but the fact is you ARE pregnant and your baby is growing and getting stronger every day. You are being supported and monitored and your job is to relax. I really hope that doesn't sound harsh as I mean it in the nicest possible way and in no way am I suggesting any impatience on my part. No, no, no! I'm really glad you are still here and supporting us all!

It's a bit like taking the stabilisers off the bike and trusting that you will be ok. Big, big hug to you.

Hope this works!
MrsMc - you are as always, a star! I am looking forward to my wee pressie arriving in the post! I know it's hard, but try not to panic about your fluctuations...if the you are well above the cover line, then I'm sure it'll be OK. Remember that statistically you have EXACTLY the same chance of hanging onto a bean after one m/c than if you've had no previous m/c at all I think the most important thing is to try (haha) not to stress too much - the most important thing is to take care of yourself in body and spirit, focus all your positivity on nurturing your bean.

greedygreedyguzzler · 24/05/2007 11:06

mrs - if you are worried about your temps fluctuating please look at my chart! i carried on temping sporadically after my BFP (still do for some strange reason) and mine fluctuate from 36.6 to 37.0 so i wouldn't worry too much. hope that puts your mind at rest a bit

beansprout · 24/05/2007 11:13

Greedy - thanks for offering MrsMcJ some useful advice instead of my "now don't worry your little head" type advice. Sorry MrsMcJ - on reflection, being told not to worry at such an anxious time was just crass. My respectful apologies.

basilbrush · 24/05/2007 11:16

MrsMc - ditto what Beansprout said...i hope i didn't sound patronising

greedygreedyguzzler · 24/05/2007 11:16

beany - i hadn't noticed your advice , but now i have read it, it was great...what are you talking about?! i just remembered mine fluctuating and i know that they still do so i thought i would share!

beansprout · 24/05/2007 11:23

Aw thanks greedy - am in the grip of extreme 2ww paranoia and general oversensitivity!!
Will slope off and try and do something more useful than jump everytime I feel the slightest twinge!!

Morning ladies. Got to make this quick as am at work.

Back to the top of the list for me I'm afraid. Was really hopeful this month, but am strangly OK with it all.

Another BFP that is absolutely brilliantly brilliant.

Holiday was good, but spend Sat in hospital as Ds pulled arm out of plaster. Not as exciting as Rah's holiday stories unfortunately.

OK can anyone give me a brief catch up/ summary of the last 7 days activites??

I?ve taken myself off the list because it?s highly unlikely of a BFP, and I won?t be temping next month as I will be away.

Rah - Sorry to see you taking a break ? but completely understand why. I think that MN can be tremendously helpful at times, but then other times it all gets too much. I think a break will do you the world of good. You know I echo the sentiments of the other girls ? you are a wonderful person ? and I wish you all the best! Hope to hear from you soon. Hugs xx

Minxi - Hope you have (had) a lovely holiday ? I will be (am) away when you return ? so I hope that when we next post on here together we both have some good news to share! Fingers crossed

MrsMcJnr - Limbo is pretty poo if I am honest, DH has always been the stronger of the 2 of us ? so he is coping just fine. Although I do know he is worried ? just trying to be strong so that I don?t worry anymore than I am. It was lovely of you to offer help if I need it ? a true star!
How are you? Are you continuing to temp to keep an eye for any dips? Try not to worry too much ? hope you are getting the best possible care! All the best.

Beansprout - Do you have an online chart? I am eager to have a nosy at it I am glad you have decided to hang fire on testing for a bit ? I think it is best to wait for as long as possible ? there will be much less ambiguity the longer you can hold out. Fingers crossed

Mum03 - Sorry to hear that you are not feeling too positive! I know this month is a no-go for us because I ovulated so late and there was no effort at the right time. Tut, I know. But anyway, my point is ? you may have my positivity for this month if you like?

Iwillbe - I can understand you wanting to pay for a private scan if it will set your mind at rest. How much can you see 9 weeks? All the best chick!

Seaside - Don?t worry about the morning sickness ? or lack of it. You might just be one of the lucky ones who don?t get it! It?s possibly your babies way of rewarding you for being so patient

Jess - I am sorry your emotions are getting on top of you. I will say though, don?t go back on the pill ? just try to relax and let your body do it?s normal thing. I know it is easier said than done. You are right 3 months is not that long ? although at times it probably feels like an eternity! Hang in there flower!

Basilbrush - I think it is fair to say that you can?t really tell anything until you?ve done at least one full chart ? but looking at your chart and noting the EWCM I would be inclined to wonder if the dip temp is accurate? How many times do you take your temp? I usually take mine a couple of times to be sure I am not getting an odd reading.

NappyValley* - Sorry to see you back to the top of the list, but nice to see you all the same. Sorry to hear about DS and his plaster shenanigans! Hope he is ok? And you too

Cityangel - Not sure if you are still about on this thread, I?ll catch you on the spotters thread ? hope all is well?

Duchesse & Feedmenow - How are you both feeling? Getting closer to the business phase? Good luck!

Sorry if I have missed anyone ?

beansprout · 24/05/2007 13:51

Nappy - sorry you are back up at the top again.

Ready - hope you have a good break. I'm afraid I don't have an on-line chart. I'm really skint and couldn't justify the cost! Temps have been pretty steady though - pre ov 36.3-.4 and post 36.6-.9.

MrsMcJnr · 24/05/2007 14:22

Thanks ladies all that you say is true and much appreciated.

Beansprout ? your advice was very sound and you are right, I need to keep faith and try to relax more, relaxing is not my forte!

Yours too Basil ? stress and me have always been buddies! Thank you.

Good point Greedy, thanks

beansprout · 24/05/2007 17:33

ooh, ooh, ooh - right, will do homework tonight and try and post my charts later!! Thanks Ready!!

beansprout · 24/05/2007 20:49

ok, sorry to be a dimwit but I have completed my chart but don't know how to post it so you can see the story so far... can anyone advise?

mum03 · 24/05/2007 21:53

Beansprout - I think that some instructions on posting charts are here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1366&threadid=227867&stamp=070217121001 Hope it helps.

beansprout · 24/05/2007 21:56

thanks mum03, I wouldn't have worked that out!
Will post it tomorrow!

mum03 · 24/05/2007 22:02

Beansprout - you and I are due af on the same day, I am feeling very negative and already assuming af will definitely be arriving, how about you? I read that you are worried about testing, I can understand that. Are you feeling positive or negative about this month? At least if we get af together we will not be alone for being cycle buds...

beansprout · 25/05/2007 07:48

Hi Mum03, I'm trying to feel positive this month. CD29 and temp is still high and I know we had sex on the right days, so am trying to think that it is not all over until the fat lady bleeds . That said, I have been all over the place this week, so please take this as my aim rather than the reality!! I'm usually really crampy leading up to my period and that hasn't been the case (apart from one day, when I had the dip).

Anyway, pep talk aside, we shall have to see. How are you feeling today?

Hi to everyone else.

MrsMcJnr · 25/05/2007 10:27

Hang in there ladies, you just NEVER know!

NappyValley · 25/05/2007 12:01

forgot to temp today but as am in AF does not matter!

Bean/Mum03 I am sending lots of positive vibes your way. As you say, you never know til TFLB!!!

Have managed not to rip anyone's head off at work this month which is an improvement this week, although I was wearing a baggy top yesterday and my boss got a VERY filthy stare when he said "anything you need to tell us". I think he just wants to get excited for me so to speak!

Back to work now.

big to all. How are our recent BFPs feeling?? Remember to keep breathing in and out and don't PANIC!!!!

Ready · 25/05/2007 12:12

Hope everyone is doing well... fingers and toes are crossed for all of you!!

NappyValley · 25/05/2007 16:26

Girls not sure if I should be addressing this on a differnet thread, if so point the way.

BUT.... as I have had 3 months now with a v short luteal phase I have been googling to see if there is anything that can help. I think that taking Vitex agnus-castus (chasteberry) should help.

Has anyone tried it knows of it etc. Greedy this mihgt be one for your unfathomable knowledge.

Ready · 25/05/2007 16:54

NappyValley - There's no hard and fast rules as to what we can discuss on this thread - I do know that greedy is an advocate of agnus castus. In my opinion it's something that you should not self-prescribe, but that's just because I am a bit of a baby . Doesn't VitB6 lengthen the luteal phase also? And someone on another thread also said that just taking wellwoman supplement has lengthened her LP by one day. How often do you have a 9 day LP? It's rare for the LP to fluctuate isn't it? It's normally the part of the cycle that is relatively constant? Or so I thought?
I am sure that someone else will have more of an insight for you - I just wanted to say that I would err on the side of caution with AC as I have read a fair amount of negative things about it too. Tread with caution. Fingers crossed

beansprout · 26/05/2007 07:34

Got a BFP this morning . Am feeling very anxious though, after the chem pregnancy last month. The line was very clear but not the full on dark line I wanted to see. Much clearer than anything from last month though, there was no mistaking it.

Have a severe case of line anxiety but have decided to not keep testing as for me, that way madness lies.

Mum03 - how are you?

Big hello to everyone else
