Cityangel - hope you are enjoying the hectic pace of your new job. when are you testing again???

Ready · 29/05/2007 16:21

Hi Ladies. Hope all is well. First things first I should say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Beansprout - Way to go girl!!
2 little birdies emailed me to tell me that there was another BFP on here, so I had to pop on!! Lovely news.

So, just to let you all know that I am thinking about you all (in your varying degrees of personal situations!! ) but I just need some time out. I have been getting lots of things sorted with my house, and we are of course Going Home tomorrow for a couple of weeks - which is going to be lovely. And much needed. I am not taking my thermometer with me - but I shall be taking a pack of Always Ultra - so from that I am sure you can deduce that I am pretty sure that CD1 will roll on round as per usual. Some things never change.

Anyway, best not waffle on for too long. I wish you all well, and I hope that when I return (with a tan - I am heading South you know ) I hope to see some more BFPs!!

All the best.

Ready xx

Ready · 29/05/2007 16:23

oops. I think I missed your BFP basilbrush - I was only looking for one . Congratulations.

scorpio1 · 29/05/2007 16:24

Ready - i hope you have a good break and a rest. I too, am trying to ignore the fact i am ttc - i am less stressed now, and i try not to visit here so much.

Hope you are ok and keep well

Ready · 29/05/2007 16:26

Lovely to "see" you Scorpio - All the best sweets, take it easy. And hope you have your BFP when I return! x

scorpio1 · 29/05/2007 16:27

straight back atcha!

beansprout · 29/05/2007 17:34

Thanks for your congrats Ready (and am very chuffed that people are e-mailing each other to spread good news!!) and hope you have a good trip.

Scorpio - everything still crossed for you!

Basilbrush - woohoo!! Congratulations!!

mum03 ready beansprout
thanks for your kind words ladies! have decided to stop temping (11 days is enough for me!) as I think it will stress me out too much.
I'm quite jittery, obviously, as had m/c in March at 7 weeks. The EPU said at the time I could have an early scan, not sure how early is "early" though? 7, 8 weeks?
Going to hold off the Due in Feb 08 threads (if indeed it exists yet!) for a while till I've done a few more PG tests over the next week or so and make sure this isn't chemical pg. I think that realistically I can only be 10 or 11 DPO...

Congratulations Basilbrush!!! What luck this thread is having this month! Keeping everything crossed that everything is ok with you.

Hope to see you on the TTC graduates thread when you feel up to it!

take care

Hi all. Firstly ready will miss you but have a nice break and despite all these BFPs we'll be here temping away when you get back!

jess how did the doctor appointment go. I agree with you on FF. I thought I had ov'd on Fri 'cos of EWCM and LH+ but FF said sunday and temp did not go up til tues!! So the big question is does EWCM signify your are OV or just that you are LH+ and therefore about to OV. Absolutely and totally confised. Hey ho lets try again this month.

basil fantastic news well done you. We'd love you to hang here for as long as you like, no need to graduate just yet.

Well i'm going to have to say that the Pregnancy panda really has been a busy panda this month, I hope the luck continues.

I think I might just stick with the vitB6 this month and see what happens.

to all.

Good morning all and congratulations to basilbrush .

What a lot of BFPs this month! And a few people taking time out. Is it just me, Nappyvalley and Mum03 temping at the moment?

Well, my GP appt went ok. He said it was probably still things settling down after the m/c. But he took some blood samples for measuring FSH, LH, estrodiol and progesterone. I thought all of these hormones varied according to the CD so I was surprised he didn't ask where I was in my cycle. Although since it's possible I'm not OVing I suppose it's not important. I've got to go back for another blood test for progesterone in the second half of my cycle "when my periods are more regular". But since my m/c I have had 30, 32 and 27 day cycles which is not far off what I had before ttc (usually 28-30 days). So I'm thinking that if I get a positive on the OPKs this month I might make an appt for this blood test for a week after that. Anyway, I get my results tomorrow so hopefully that will shed some light on things.

My temps are still erratic. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make out any thermal shift this month. The ewcm has started though, so at least my body is doing something.

Hope you're having a good break rahrah and ready.

Glad things are going well for you MrsMcJnr.

Where are duchesse, minxi and feedmenow these days?

weepootleflump · 30/05/2007 08:26

Just popped in to say CONGRATULATIONS to Beansprout and Basilbrush. x

duchesse · 30/05/2007 09:26

Yikes! Can't help but notice that I'm right up against the cordon sanitaire between the pregfull and the pregless. The pressure is on...

I am still here, lurking, just not temping reliably, cos...well...just cos.

Morning ladies

Great point Mum03 ? Cityangel I hope they are not working you too hard

Ready I hope you have a lovely break hon and that taking some time out from here and from the thermometer will make all the difference If not, when you get back, I?ll dedicate my resources to you and see if I can help you make a difference! I think it would have to be South of Britain to get a tan ? what kind of summer is this??!!

Hey Scorpio ? hang in there Hope you are feeling much better.

Basil I gave up temping last time because it was stressful and its not worth the worry really. I am still temping because I couldn?t stop the habit this time and I figured with my meds, it would be a good idea to keep an eye on my temps anyway. I?ve told myself that we?ll see how my scan goes on Tues and they I?ll decide whether or not to continue. I feel jittery too so I know how you feel I also understand that it is a biggie psychologically to get past the point you were at with your MC, that said, I would try and wait for at least 8 weeks for a scan. You are more likely to see a HB and not be sent away with an inconclusive result. Mine on Tues will be 8 weeks exactly on AF but I was measuring about 4 days behind (which is not too worrying as I do OV late) when I had the scan 2 weeks ago so though I am hoping to see a HB and FP if I am 7+3 by size, I still might not and might have to go back again! I don?t know if there is a Feb thread, there do see to be Dec, Jans and Febs on the Due in the New Year Thread (and maybe a bit of a shame for the newbies, there are quite a few on there with previous MCs so it doesn?t seem as full on as the Oct AN thread was when I joined that!) do join the TTC Graduate thread though, you?ll see lots of old faces Just take each day as it comes Hon

Hello Fettle

Greedy ? where have you been??? missed you!

Nappy the EWCM can last a few days and aside from the temps, its worth making the most of it when you have it, it?s a great refuge for the boys until the egg appears! It usually stops abruptly after OV.

Hey Jess how are you? Does seem odd about not asking about your CD for those tests but at least he is being proactive which is great ? hope the results are helpful. It?s good to have a plan of action in any event

Go Duchesse!

Duchesse - I noticed that you were prime suspect for the next bfp, I think it is your turn, you have waited long enough.

Rah and Ready - I miss you!

basilbrush · 30/05/2007 12:06

Hi MrsMc
Well I've been having a think and I'm going to have to base my dates on my LMP as I have no other accurate information (that's what most people do anyway right? unless they are CM Obsessives like us )

That would mean I'd be 4 weeks tomorrow. Was going to wait until 6 weeks and then ring EPU and try and make appointment for 7+6 as the day after that our holiday abroad is booked for three weeks! Hope I get a HB then or will spend all hol worrying

so your scan is this Tues coming? willbe thinking of you

if i get a stronger BFP on Fri (decided to wait 72 hours as apprently your hormone levels double every three days at this point) I may place a tentative toe on the ante-natal thread ...

MrsMcJnr · 30/05/2007 15:09

Mum03 ? hope you feel better soon

Hey Basil ? that?s sensible, they look at you as if you are a nutter if you suggest any other way of calculating it anyway! When I was 5+2 instead of 5+6 at the last scan and said that based on OV, that was probably about right, they looked at me as if I was talking nonsense For what it?s worth, based on LMP my date is 15/1 which is what the hospital are going on but my software is saying 17/1 based on OV on CD17. Many of the TTC graduates actually had their dates moved back to LMP later on anyway. If I were you, I?d request the scan for that date, they get really booked up. My scan is Tuesday ? ahhhh scary but so hopeful too Interesting what you say about HCG, I thought it had a half life of 36 hours

basilbrush · 30/05/2007 15:26

MrsMc are they really that busy? do you think I should ring them now to book a scan for a month's time?? won't they think i'm loopy? (well, i know i am but... )

MrsMcJnr · 30/05/2007 16:49

Ok, well maybe leave it a week or so but you know that you should have an early scan and you are just trying to be organised and considerate to them

Morning all.

FOr those who are BFP just a thought following on from MrsMc and basil's conversation...(sorry if I have said this before I am scatty )
The medical system seems only capable of working out your due date based on LMP + 40 weeks. If you know you ov'd late - with DS it was CD21!!! I had quite a battle on my hands come the birth side of things, as they said my due date was 5 Nov, where as by my calcs (OV + 38 weeks). When they do the dating scan they will only move your due date if more that 10 days out. So.. as they like to induce at T + 12 days, that was when I was only slightly overdue. I stood my ground and said I didn't want to be induced and when into spontaneous labour on 17 Nov (DS born on 21 nov!! tee hee ). I have to confess that if the same thing happens next time (trying to be positive) I will lie to my doc and tell them my LMP was 2 wks b4 my OV date.!!

On another note, I have started taking B6 200mg and will see if there is an improvement in cycle this month. I am much more relaxed now as I can see a real reason for my body not playing ball. Thanks for info about EWCM.

Jess glad doc is being proactive. I still haven't plucked up the courage. i was going to but have now decided to hold off for a few more months.

I do think it is only 3 of us temping at the mo. Duchese go for it girl.

greedygreedyguzzler · 31/05/2007 13:42

nappy valley - i couldn't agree mmore with you re due dates etc! i didnt ov till day 34 so if i went by my LMP i would be being induced way before necessary!

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 31/05/2007 15:32
