Starting an April thread because I couldn't see one yet.

I'm 33 (for another week!)
TTC baby number 4
Cycle 3
CD 3
BFP due 11/04

AF is nearly over here, I'll actually be fertile when DP is off work this month which helps. If I get my BFP this month I'll be due in the middle of December.

I'm invoking Murphy's law this month. I'm bound to get a BFP the week before we go for a child free week's holiday right?

Not massively hopeful this month as dh was ill over fertility week typically so didn’t dtd that much. Good luck everyone.
Ps this month I became unhealthily obsessed with my cm and cervical position

Hi @chocaholic1 Looks like we're all becoming obsessed with cervixes. We're all Vagcissus. If I found it really hard to reach my cervix yesterday, does that mean it's really high and I'm ovulating? I'm pretty sure it's usually lower than that, but I've not prodded it in a comparative, scientific way before...

Ladies, I've just realised what grapefruit juice tastes like. You know when orange juice repeats on you? It tastes of that. Juice vomit.
Can't wait to open the next carton!!

Oh and DH text me today saying he's brought the effervescent orange C with him on his stag. I love that guy so much!!

@applesauce1 I am quite new to the cervix checking and so it’s all a bit confusing and probably tmi but it seems low most of the time which I’m not sure is normal or the result of already having had a baby I wish I knew what it was like before having had my daughter! Weirdly it felt high yesterday but according to my opks I should have ovulated the day before so who knows if it meant I was still ovulating?! Im well impressed with your dh’s commitment to the cause

Have step children this weekend so not convinced we'll have much time to DTD sigh

I am birthdaying without the DDs this weekend, DP bought me a lot of lovely presents and I have been promised some birthday DTD!

We are doing well this month, much better than last month when we were both ill during FW. I want a Christmas baby!

I think my hormones are going crazy. As soon as AF is over I will be jumping DH. Fingers crossed for the next day or so.

@Pob13 Have you got long to wait? It must be the late starting, I've been wanting to jump OH since I came on, Haha!

Don't know what's going on with me this cycle. Cervix still super low & hard... No sign of ewcm... Hope I'm not having an anovulatory one 😕 Unless it's a longer cycle than normal...

@clairehr couple more days I reckon. Last months cycle was so long, I really hope thats not gonna be a recurring theme.

Being woken at 5.30am by one of OH's boys being sick wasn't quite the weekend I had planned, but OH joked that I'm going to need to get used to it - someone's obviously feeling positive this month :)

Letter through today for my next cervical screening. Best get that sorted!

But next time I see a letter inviting me to have my cervix checked I want it to be for a baby 😂

@clairehr I had a smear last month. I was so transfixed by the nurse's hair scrunchie and white lipstick that it wasnt awkward at all. I have a lot of respect for someone that chooses white lipstick as a fashion statement!

@Pob13 I hadn't realised it had been so long since I'd had my last smear, wasn't the best experience of my life last time to be fair! Had to go back as they'd missed (apparently my cervix is set further back and tilted at a strange angle) Perhaps I could ask for my nurse to wear white lipstick so it takes my mind off of it :)

My temperature spiked by .6 today. Could that be because I woke up later so the room had more time to heat up? It felt boiling hot in the room this morning. Really hoping we haven't missed it this month, and hoping for ovulation tomorrow or later so DH is back with his sperms for baby apple creation.

Oh, and I physically cannot reach my cervix! Well, I can reach where it is, but I can't reach the opening to check whether or not it's open. It's not like I have short fingers; I can reach a key higher than an octave on the piano. DH was right. It is nearly in France.
I know I'm over thinking it.

@applesauce1 It sounds like ovulation to me! Especially if your cervix is high too (or off on a holiday in France 😂). I believe it's highest at your most fertile (please anyone correct me if I'm wrong!!!!)

I really hope you get to dance at the right time though, keeping fingers crossed your egg is just nice and cosy and waiting for Daddy Apple to get back!

@clairehr by the way, I can't believe you had to go through the smear twice because they'd missed first time! It's not like there are multiple routes they could have chosen. It's pretty much a one way system, if the diagrams that I have littered my internet history with recently are to be believed.

Oh FFS. Trying not to feel too pessimistic that we missed ovulation day. Daddy Apple (love that btw) isn't home until tomorrow evening. Hopefully the early morning sleepy, dutiful boning session of yesterday did the trick. Will not do anything too strenuous in case it knocks the egg out of my uterine egg cup or something, not that I'd planned to do anything other than sit at my kitchen table and do assessments all day!

What's every one else doing on this almost Spring like Saturday?

@applesauce1 Wasn't too impressed at the time to be fair, but to be honest I haven't even seen my own cervix, let alone anyone else's to compare it too, so gotta trust the doctors and just hope that this one isn't quite so intrusive!

Dutiful morning deed sounds like it may well have come at the right time, so I'll keep fingers crossed. And of course you'll have to add to it tomorrow night just to help things along!

We've been stuck inside most of the day as eldest stepson has been poorly. Heading to an egg hunt (how ironic!) tomorrow hopefully!

Hi all, hope its okay to join. I'm 34 and TTC no 1, cycle 5 CD 24. I think I ovulated on day 17/18 this month and my cycles are usually 28/29 days regular. just had a lot of cervical mucus, a lot lot more than normal. What does this mean?? Am I getting hopes up unnecessarily?

@clairehr Take yourself to your happy place. I like to imagine myself sitting in a beachside bar in Aus, drinking cheap beer, and being so young and carefree, while in reality, a stranger is sticking a sticky thing up my snatch. It only slightly spoils the memory but vastly improves the smeersperience.

Sorry to hear your stepson is unwell; hope he is feeling better soon! Enjoy your egg hunt! Funnily enough, I'm going on a sperm hunt later! (not really)
