Hello everyone!

Starting an April thread because I couldn't see one yet.

I'm 33 (for another week!)
TTC baby number 4
Cycle 3
CD 3
BFP due 11/04

AF is nearly over here, I'll actually be fertile when DP is off work this month which helps. If I get my BFP this month I'll be due in the middle of December.

I'm invoking Murphy's law this month. I'm bound to get a BFP the week before we go for a child free week's holiday right? Grin

Thanks @everythingnow cramping has gone but still quite irritable and now a bit emotional...so all quite typical pre af symptoms. cervix seems to have moved up a bit again but not really high....going to try & not obsess over it anymore as don’t really know what I’m lookjng for! If I’m not pg this month I might go and get checked out at the docs just to check everything down there is as it should be! Since having my daughter it doesn’t seem quite the same haha! Sorry about your bfn fingers crossed af doesn’t show.

@babybeanie I haven’t used Poundland opks but am using cheap babymad ones from amazon alongside my clearblue digital and they seem to both show peak at the same time

Babybeany · 30/03/2018 16:50

Thank you for the feedback 😊 Gone away for the weekend and left my Poundland cheapies at home! Doh!

sodababy2 · 30/03/2018 17:33

@Babybeany I use the one step ovulation sticks from Amazon. I tested them a couple of times using the clearblue ovulation sticks at the same time and have always got the same result so they seem fine to me.

Got my positive OPK today so will be getting on it!! Grin

stegosauruslady · 30/03/2018 20:27

Argh. I could use some support.

I feel oddly as though it is never ever going to happen for us. Just totally disheartened and I have no idea what my body is doing.

I think it's exacerbated by the older three DDs not being DP's children, I just don't know if we can have one. I also feel old (I'm 34).

Serious TWW crazies basically!

@stegosauruslady you have my support lovely. I’ve tried to write a similar post tonight but keep deleting it.

Cramps have started here and so when AF shows (and she will) that means on to cycle 11. I’m 38, ttc #4.

helbel42 · 30/03/2018 21:11

Sending support. It's hard going, but nice to have people to share the crazies with! I have days I'm sure it's going to happen and days I'm convinced it never will. I'm 33, ttc no1. It's only my third cycle but never having been pregnant I worry that I can't. Going into fertile week so hoping poas will give me purpose for a couple of weeks!

Roobles79 · 30/03/2018 21:38

Sending support too. I'm also 34 and feeling similar @stegosauruslady. It's nice that there are some more of us in the early/mid 30's trying for our first. Have been trying for 4 months and starting to be a bit concerned. Have never been pregnant before so I'm not sure I can either. I think flo is on her way as I had cramping earlier and I'm normally due now, day 29/30. X

emdoc · 30/03/2018 22:07

@stegosauruslady thinking of you and sending supportive thoughts! It is stressful, isn't it?

I'm 32 and we have just decided to start trying, but it's really difficult not to have that nagging thought in the back of your mind that it might not happen. It's a lot of pressure! However I'm sure it will work for you eventually and I hope you don't get too disheartened!

emdoc · 30/03/2018 22:09

I think AF is starting for me today. This would be my first period since coming off Mirena so it's not discouraging and would be kind of nice to have some idea where I might be in my cycle. Can't remember what my non-contraceptive-ly influenced periods are even like Hmm

Next AF to arrive I'm sure I'll be much less enthused!!

AF due 10th April

We were going to have a break this month as we weren't keen on having a Christmas baby but we just couldn't. So I guess I won't be too disappointed (who am I kidding, I will be) if it's a BFN!

xLeanne128 · 31/03/2018 09:07

BFP/AF due on the 15th April if this month doesn't work it's onto month 6 😔 can't believe how quickly it's all come around! Ovulated on cd21 which for me is amazing haha it's been 26-33 the last few months. Hopefully my cycles are sorting themselves after pill and MC. On the grapefruit juice and changing to pineapple today haha. Goodluck all x

stegosauruslady · 31/03/2018 10:57

Thanks everyone, I was feeling really crap yesterday. Much more accepting today... If it is a BFN this month at least I can drink on holidays!

Who else is in the TWW at the moment? I'm going to test a couple of days early next Saturday as we have some social stuff next weekend!

@stegosauruslady ✋🏼 me! Just at the beginning of the Tww today! Fingers crossed it is our month!

Chocaholic1 · 31/03/2018 12:59

@stegosauruslady glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better today. Ttc really sucks after a while, it’s just all consuming. I was feeling a bit down yesterday too and didn’t want to go & meet the friends we were meeting because 2 of them are pregnant! I eventually snapped out of it and reluctantly had a nice time.

I’m cd26 and around 10 dpo going to test tomorrow as I can’t hold out any longer

Just using opks as I do every month feeling pretty pants but at least doctor booked so hopefully get some answers.

Good luck everyone this month xx

PassTheAfterEights · 31/03/2018 15:40

@Boboelephant bless you for asking, made it as far as PIL's for the next few weeks, utterly knackered, sore etc but so far so good - fortunately not under the same roof, or FW would be a laugh... we are helping them move into a holiday home this w/e so DTD on a blow-up bed fml Ditto re seeing each other on the preg boards! How are you doing/feeling this month?

@Mimilicious013 won't ask how DTD went ;) but hope you caught that Easter egg on its way down promise I will stop with the seasonal puns now

@sodababy2 upgrading our monthly wave to a giant hug, good to see you, how are you? Did I see you had +opk? massive fx for you, not expected to ovulate til Mon :/ last month I swear when I was out I transferred all the vibes to you, so so so hope Christmas day is our time x

@stackhead thanks and good luck for this month, i'll get on the opk's next if we aren't lucky again. I think clearblue will send their test product to the control arm testers on their trial so that might be a bit of fun, since TTC is less and less fun each month...!

@Babybeany huge hello and fingers crossed for 25/12 all round, Easter weekend / Christmas weekend would be so fun! slash I just really want a baby any day of the week or month any month so come the fk on bridget

Happy Easter & festive dust to all xx

PassTheAfterEights · 31/03/2018 15:42

FrowningFlamingo · 31/03/2018 17:43

Hi all, coming into 2WW now so ready to join in the craziness :/
I've been feeling a bit down about it all too - we waited quite a while for the 'right time' which in hindsight seems a bit silly.
I've turned 30 and hit cycle six, both of which feel like a fertility turning point. Though I know it's early days really!
Fingers crossed for BFPs for everyone.

socktastic · 31/03/2018 18:31

I've not joined a bus before so here's hoping I'm doing this right...
Age 34
TTC#2
Cycle 4
CD14
AF due 19th April

Sick of OPKs! Always seeing that empty circle is demoralising

Aph413 · 31/03/2018 19:12

FrowningFlamingo we also waited for the 'right time' I wish they told you just how long it can really take.
If I'd known it would be 7 months and my periods still weren't normal again I don't think I would've gone on birth control at all or I would've had it removed sooner.

In other news I've got seriously itchy hands not using opks this cycle. Trying not to analyse every symptom my body throws at me

stegosauruslady · 31/03/2018 19:31

frowningflamingo there is no such thing as a right time in any case, babies are a bit like setting off an adorable bomb in the middle of your life! (I have three)

I have totally lost the plot with TTC, I think it is that this baby will be the only one DP and I have together.

Upsides of not conceiving this month (trying to be positive here!)... Baby won't hate me for a Christmas birthday, I won't have two kid birthdays in December, I can get slaughtered on holiday, I can have a hamam on holiday, I won't have to tell my friend who has been trying for two years that I'm pregnant while on holiday with her.

It is OK if I get BFN this month. (repeat until pregnant)

clairehr · 31/03/2018 20:43

Hi ladies (and potential lurking gents!). Thought I'd check in to see how everyone is getting on from my hotel room!

OPKs came with us on holiday, EWCM today, so if it's a 'normal for me' cycle I should get a positive tomorrow. DTD today as preparation and I think it's only right that Easter Sunday/Monday we do a little egg hunting.

How many now in TWW? Sooooo hoping for some BFPs from this group this month!

FrowningFlamingo · 31/03/2018 20:53

aph I had my implant out early and we used condoms for a while so my cycles would be regular. They were perfect immediately afterwards and in recent months have gone a bit erratic - typical!!
stegosaurus I know what you mean and it wouldn't have been a distaster to try sooner but I was in a training programme with work and my mat pay will be much better and my work much less draining while pregnant now. Plus we tried for a few months and both my dad and DPs dad became seriously ill at the same time so we felt we needed to wait a bit. All seemed sensible at the time though I'm not so sure now!
