Hey
Cd1
Ttc#3
Cycle 2
Pcos just had a long cycle of 40 days. For last 7 months been between 28-31 days . I’m going on holiday in 6 weeks so I need to either get pregnant this month or have a short cycle so I’m not on whilst there!

EverythingNow · 12/02/2018 13:52

Morning everyone Smile

Opks and thermometer arrived today. I’m ok with the opks but I have no idea with temping! Is it ok to do orally?

Cammy30 · 12/02/2018 14:45

Hi @EverythingNow ! I use the Natural Cycles app and temp with it. I take my temp every morning at 6.10am (before I hit snooze!!) and place is under my tongue and right back! It worked really well for me in my cycle #1, I've attached a pic to show.

Other people maybe do it different but this has worked for me! Good luck Smile

Ps sorry for the TMI with the hearts on the graph, i couldn't get them cropped out! Xo

March bus - bfp’s welcome.
EverythingNow · 12/02/2018 15:00

Thanks @Cammy30 that’s really helpful. I’ll set my alarm for tomorrow morning and see how I get on.

Ha, don’t worry on the ♥️ that’s a great effort! X

Woody096 · 12/02/2018 18:09

Aww that is frustrating @owlpatrol.
I am CD1, yesterday marked the start of dtd everyday! DH is delighted.
Also starting drinking grapefruit juice.... 🤢 it’s really disgusting!
I too am not going to test until day 32 when I will be officially late. Tbh I always cave around cd 28

So after some confusion AF has finally decided today is it so officially CD1 and counting! A bit pants but at least I can look forward to my next FW. Does anyone else or their partner feel some months are better to TTC than others? DH is wanting to pick and choose the months we TTC so that potential birthdays/important occasions don't clash. I on the other hand think to hell with everyone else, my baby's birth will trump everything! 😂

Cammy30 · 12/02/2018 19:15

@Woody096 I had my first glass of it tonight....had to hold my nose in the end and pin it lol! Do you DTD every day? We were told every other day but not sure if (especially in FW) that it's better to go every day? Xx

cookielove · 12/02/2018 19:22

Can I jump on?

No idea what cycle as dh is in two mind's about ttc!

We have one ds who is 3
I had a mmc in Sept 2013 and a miscarriage last month.

Hoping to get a bfp in 10 days!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/02/2018 19:39

@bubblybrit. Not seen you for a few days. How Are you doing? x

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/02/2018 19:40

@Woody096. I couldn't drink it! I tried but noticed it was giving me a scratchy throat, I was worried I might be a bit allergic so stopped!

Woody096 · 12/02/2018 19:53

I am not sure I can stomach another glass. It’s leaves the most disgusting after taste!
We have tried dtd every other day & every other few days! This cycle we are trying every day!

OP posts:
Cammy30 · 12/02/2018 20:07

@Woody096 I downed it before dinner so the taste went away as soon as I ate - highly recommend lol! Temporary minging taste!

Countrygirl94 · 12/02/2018 20:17

@bee4s I was kinda the same thinking as your DH when we thought about ttc.
now that we are actually I just want to be pregnant! Don’t care when it means birthday will land haha.
I have to say I don’t mind drinking the grapefruit juice, I quite enjoy it.

bubblybrit · 12/02/2018 20:22

@LookingAtTheStars89. Yes been offline for a few days as had a bereavement within the family. DH and I back to dtd from last night - currently CD7 - very early but decided to dtd eod from end of af rather than OPKs etc....how you getting on? X

Woody096 · 12/02/2018 20:49

@bubblybrit sorry to hear of your bereavement. I hope you are ok xx

bubblybrit · 12/02/2018 22:24

Thank you @Woody096. It wasn’t unexpected but thought she had a few more months. Not had a chance to catch up on the thread yet - everything good with you? X

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/02/2018 22:35

@bubblybrit. Flowers I'm really sorry to hear that. Was it someone from your side or DH's? You don't have to answer that if it's too personal.

Good for you starting early. We dtd on cd 8, although it was with durex lube LOL so I don't think it counts. We started for real from cd12. I'm on cd17 of ???? who the heck knows how long this cycle will be! I have a progesterone blood test booked in for cd21 and cd28, so we will see what that brings.

bubblybrit · 12/02/2018 22:53

@LookingAtTheStars89. Thank you. It was my aunt. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer at Christmas and was given 6 months. Think she just had enough so at least she isn’t in pain any longer.

I’m trying to stick with dtd eod but I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna be easier said than done! With the length of my cycles we will need to dtd 15-20 times this month! 😱

Oh hopefully the blood test will provide some answers and reassurance xx

Woody096 · 12/02/2018 23:09

@bubblybrit, it still must be such a terribly sad time, despite knowing of the diagnosis. I am so sorry for your loss.

All good here, nothing to report just waiting for an flashing smiley face!

OP posts:
bubblybrit · 13/02/2018 08:31

Thank you @Woody096. That means a lot Smile x

Oh the flashing smiley. Exciting! How are you getting on with CB? I was using them but was a hit and miss whether the solid smiley appeared so kinda gave up lol Smile

Merrz · 13/02/2018 11:49

Bee4s i was the same as your DH when we started ttc, wanted a May - August born baby. A year later i just want to be pregnant, really don't care when it's born. Feel so naive now thinking it was an option to chose, hopefully you will get your BFP faster though

Woody096 · 13/02/2018 15:09

I had a flashing smiley face last month, the very same day DH jetted off to the otherwise of the Atlantic for a week!

I was conscious of dates too @Merrz, if I get a bop this month, I will be due 09/11. My dd was dues 02/11 but arrived a few weeks early.... but like you I now just want to be pregnant and will just accept october - dec will be an expensive time of year!

OP posts:
EverythingNow · 13/02/2018 15:59

I avoided ttc back in November as it would’ve clashed with an already booked holiday, it’s a uk one so I would’ve gone heavily pregnant or with a newborn but the dates would’ve been due date plus two weeks (and all mine have been between 41 and 42 weeks).

It was probably the sensible thing to do but I wouldn’t do the same again.

Two of my three have November birthdays, and I had an early loss two years ago which would’ve been due in November, so I feel totally and completely unrealistically hopeful this month!

Owlpatrol · 13/02/2018 21:13

@bubblybrit sending virtual hugs Flowers

Nothing much to report here trying to dtd as much as possible not temping this month and enjoying some freedom. Got baby bombed today by a friend who already has a 9 month old so two under 2 oh dear must be tragic whilst secretly jealous of having one let alone two

bubblybrit · 13/02/2018 21:47

@owlpatrol. Thank you. That’s very kind of you. I’m doing similar to you this cycle so fx it works out for both of us!

@Woody096. That sucks! I work away from home quite a bit so I feel your pain. Trying to discreetly stay at home more without my boss questioning why!
