AF arrived today so I am now hoping for a March bfp.
This is cycle 6, ttc #2. Aged 32.

Never started a thread before, so hopefully you will join & we can symptom spot together!

@Countrygirl94 Thanks for the tip! Will need to include in my weekly shop Grin

Bee4S · 11/02/2018 12:51

@owlpatrol Fx for you!! Will try both together and see if it makes a difference 👍

Dinachook · 11/02/2018 13:32

Hi can I jump on the March bus please?

TTC #1
Cycle #2
39 😬

My AF was due 9th but no sign, so just poas and it was a BFN. I knew we’d have to have been incredibly luck to get pregnant on cycle #1 but I was symptom spotting like crazy (nausea, peeing like a racehorse, loads of milky CM, mild cramping...etc). Anyhow, just wish AF would hurry up and we can get going on our 2nd month.
Maybe March will be our month, FX 💜

kiltedsheep · 11/02/2018 13:35

You might all know this already, but just in case you don't - if you're already on certain medication (in my case, sertraline) then you may wish to talk to your doctor before hitting the grapefruit juice. In my (limited) understanding, grapefruit juice can increase the level of sertraline in your body.

This may not affect any of you, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway.

Meanwhile, AF arrived today, so I'm well and truly on this bus!!

Cammy30 · 11/02/2018 14:22

Welcome @Dinachook !! I've a really good feeling about March so hopefully this means good news all round!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

Cammy30 · 11/02/2018 14:23

Oh @kiltedsheep this is interesting! What is that and what does it do? Excuse my ignorance if this is a well known thing lol!

lucylondon32 · 11/02/2018 15:58

Hmm so just been to the loo and had pinkish/red blood when I wiped (sorry if TMI) I'm 4DPO (according to my cycle dates and CM) so it's not a sign of implantation is it? I've never spotted between periods so a little confused! Xx

lucylondon32 · 11/02/2018 15:59

@kiltedsheep I take Sertraline too, I never knew that! Thanks for the info x

kiltedsheep · 11/02/2018 17:27

@Cammy30 You're not ignorant, don't worry! Sertraline is a type of medication known as a SSRI (Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitor) which is often prescribed for depression and anxiety disorder. I doubt it's the end of the world if someone taking sertraline while ttc has a glass of grapefruit juice, but I just noticed on the info on my meds that the recommendation is to avoid grapefruit. I'm no doctor, mind.

@lucylondon32 Not to get your hopes up, but I actually had post-implantation bleeding when trying for DC1, and what happened to me was really similar to what you've described. I just assumed that it was AF, but when my 'period' only lasted a few days and was extremely light, I asked on MN and someone suggested I POAS just in case... and it was a BFP!
(But I don't know if it's worth waiting until you've no more spotting before POAS??)

Bee4S · 11/02/2018 17:43

@kiltedsheep Was your post-implantation bleed around your normal AF time? I was certain AF showed up this morning but have had nothing further since and I have had some light brown and pink spotting last few days so I'm wondering weather I have virtually no AF because of spotting or maybe it's not actually AF? I think I will keep testing every other day just to be sure but I'm just curious about the timing?

kiltedsheep · 11/02/2018 17:56

@Bee4S My AF was due on the 29th Dec and the spotting started on the evening of the 28th. I was 99% sure it was my period and did two tests on the 29th to confirm, and both were negative, so I assumed it really was my AFP. The spotting lasted for 4 days. It was only on the 2nd Jan that, on the advice of other MN posters, I did another test and got the BFP.

(I don't actually remember all this, btw - it's just from my previous MN posts!)

Bee4S · 11/02/2018 18:02

@kiltedsheep Thank you for sharing. Smile I did a test this morning and whilst I definitely saw a line I thought it was evap because it didn't have colour to it but I have had mixed responses on MN from other posters so I guess I'm still holding out hope for a BFP no matter how slim 😂

DreamyCat · 11/02/2018 18:16

Fingers crossed to all waiting!! AF is still here but I've started on the vitamin b6, vitamin c and maca. Hoping for a longer luteal phase at the very least this month. Bit scared of maca but thought I may as well give it a go.

kiltedsheep · 11/02/2018 18:20

@Bee4S Hope springs eternal! Even now I'm hoping that my AF - which is definitely not 'spotting' - might somehow be an implantation bleed. Which is ridiculous.

Just maybe don't do what I did when I POAS'ed on the 29th Dec and got a negative - I thought, 'To hell with this' and got absolutely trolleyed on NYE. D'oh! Confused

lucylondon32 · 11/02/2018 18:47

@kiltedsheep ahh thank you, I'm trying not to get my hopes up and stay relaxed and as calm as possible so going to see if I can wait a bit longer to POAS, although I'm a nightmare for testing once I start! No more spotting for now, just that once earlier x

lucylondon32 · 11/02/2018 18:49

@DreamyCat I used Maca root when conceiving my last pregnancy, I definitely thought it helped everything along IMO x

DreamyCat · 11/02/2018 19:35

@lucylondon32 That's good to know, thank you! I've got the 2500mg Maca Root capsules so going to start with one a day (package recommends 1-2). Do you recall how much you took?

sophi22 · 11/02/2018 20:08

Hi all! Hoping to jump on the bus, even if I am a bit late!

TTC #1
Age: 25
Cycle: #2

Came off of the pill in September last year but didn't decide to start TTC until New Years Day! Now on multivitamins, folic acid and cranberry tablets.

Looking for lots of positivity and wishing the best of luck to all TTC!

Owlpatrol · 12/02/2018 06:54

Argh feeling a bit sad and frustrated this morning can t believe it I got a positive opk last night and it's a couple days early and got ewcm yesterday but tried to hint to dtd to dh but he was tired so then I said I just wanted to dtd and he apologised and said he needed sleep....i was like this is why I got you upstairs early! Then I had sexy dreams all night so fairly certain I ovulated overnight Sad

Cammy30 · 12/02/2018 07:55

Ladies, does anyone who is drinking the grapefruit juice have a picture of it? Sending DH into sainsburys tonight for it so would be useful to give him a guide (or he'd probably come home with tomato ketchup lol!

Thanks!! Xo

Merrz · 12/02/2018 10:34

Just starting fw, CD 12 today, usually ov around cd 18 so hopefully manage to dtd lots over the next week fx.
sophi22 can i ask what the Cranberry tablets are for, haven't heard of that one before?
Aww Owlpatrol how frustrating!
Cammy30 i get mine from Morrisons but it's in the fresh juice fridge section, next to fresh orange/apple juice etc

flyingplum · 12/02/2018 10:51

@owlpatrol - argh, that's annoying :( can you grind up some viagra and put it on his cornflakes? evil grin (totally kidding...ahem).

On my current predictions, i'm going to Ov when we are in different cities this month....le sigh. babymaking is hard when you live 150 miles apart part of the week!

DaisyMay25 · 12/02/2018 10:56

Jumping on this bus from the Feb one
TTC #1
Cycle 6 (after mc in September)
CD3
Going to try not poas at all unless AF is late this month
(I'm an addict I swear)

Tefiti2 · 12/02/2018 11:00

Re the grapefruit juice- does it matter if it’s from concentrate? DH bought the cheap one and I’ve been drinking it but not seeing any differences! Heading into FW here but really not sure when I’ll OV following early loss at the beginning of the month.

Cammy30 · 12/02/2018 11:06

Thank you @Merrz ! I did a quick google on sainsburys and sent him a picture. It seems to be the 100% pure stuff so FX it works! Will keep you posted Smile xo
