TTC #2 January BFPs

For all those ttc #2 and hoping to banish those January blues with a new year BFP, this is the bus for you! All welcome. Let’s hope for a flurry of BFPs before the month’s out. 💕💕💕💕

My Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS (2 in November)
Cycle: 16 (groan!)
AF/BFP due: 20 January (my Grandma’s Birthday)

@miley that looks nearly positive to me, compare it with today’s to see if it’s lighter or darker.

@cat looks like you caught the tail end of the surge with the CD15 opk. Fingers crossed for you.

No idea what’s happening with my opks. I usually do CB monitor and IC (because you can never be too obsessive right?) and usually they’ll match. But this time CB is giving me a high reading but there is barely even a line on the IC. We’re dtd anyway as I’ve had loads of EWCM as well so I’m going with the CB and presuming that it’s a bad batch of the IC’s.

We’ve also tried to follow the SMEP but start on CD6 as I ovulate early and have shorter cycles. But we missed CD6 this month due to DH being away with work. Started on CD8 but then got a high on day 9 and didn’t want to miss it so ending up dtd 5 times in a row. DH is loving it 🙈😂

AF due tomorrow or the day after, bring it on to move on from this weird shitty cycle! Of course BFN. Think I'm out for January too as my next AF isn't til February!

I'm a bit anxious about TTC #2 after my mc, can't help but think of secondary infertility especially as I had a section with my first and have symptoms of adhesions 🙄

How exciting that there's been a BFP already and it's only 3rd Jan! Hope there are many more this month
AF arrived three days ago so I'll be due to test around 28th Jan. Just waiting until fertile window and drinking lots of grapefruit juice and water at the moment!

Joining this thread. Currently waiting for AF to arrive, now 3 days late with BFN. Super frustrating.

Hey LopeyLopez! Good luck to you too! We both have 2 year olds too - albeit only for another 2 days in my case!

Yeah Peanut I was more bothered about the school year thing when I was TTC with DD but now I’m not really fussed. I can see the appeal of curling up and hibernating with a newborn in colder months but I found it miserable in January!

How frustrating for you, CoconutGal. Are you usually pretty regular?

Af due 31/01/18 so possibly a Feb bus, but can I join anyway?

Now in cycle 5
DD is 14 months old.
O is due around around 16/1 although the last few months I have ovulated at cd18.
Took 8 months to conceive first time round!

@ViviPru I'm usually regular but recently AF shifted from the 16th of every month to the last day of each month. So now I'm not sure when my cycle will start again.

Is anyone else having issues opening ovia? It hasn’t worked since yesterday and I’m so mad I can’t get it to work on my phone. All of my data from the last year TTC is on there 😡

@MynameisJune I'm having issues, the app opens then immediately closes, takes at least 3 attempts before I can access it x

@rhi I’ve been trying and trying, it just freezes as soon as it opens and I can’t do anything. Hope it gets sorted.

No idea what my body is doing this cycle, I’ve had high readings on CB for 3 days now but barely any lines on an opk. I usually get a peak today on CD11, EWCM has gone back to creamy which suggests I’ve ovulated already but neither CB or OPK’s have picked it up at all. And I’ve been testing day and night. I’m so fed up of all this, just when you think you know what’s going on it all changes again. No idea now if we’ve missed ov or if it’s coming. Will carry on bd’ing every other night until either peak or a low I guess.

Mynameisjune I found that this month I had the EWCM for 2 days with a high on CB. the third day no EWCM but creamy and then I got the peak. So I'm really confused if that is normal I would think EWCM would be at the same time as a peak? We didn't get to DTD until the day after peak so think we probably missed it for this month 😞

Does anyone know if you ovulate normally after an early pregnancy loss? Looked back at my Flo app and AF was due 28/29 Dec and I started bleeding on the 29th. Done a digi test and it’s gone back to not pregnant. So will I ovulate normally in the middle of the month? Or will I be a bit out or not for a while? Confused

I'm awaiting AF, temps plummeted this morning (had a very unsettled night with DS 🙁) but through the night I had heartburn (probably the cheese and crackers before bed) and was extremely nauseous for about 10 mins this morning. I could have my hopes up that I ovd later than the EWCM suggests which would put me in with a slim chance but then creamy cm the days after make me think it's less than likely. My temps were all over the place then too thanks to DS illness/my illness/flat battery on thermometer! I hate this game...

Kit after my early loss I ovulated very soon, a few days after the bleeding stopped but suspect it’s different for everyone.

So far so good thanks Fly! Praying I get through the first trimester and it’s not ectopic (have scarring which increases the risk) and then that my cervix holds up until at least viability. But it’s out of my hands so I’m just pleased to get through each day at the moment!

Fingers crossed some more positives here this month!

@fly I don’t temp as I tend to not wake at the same time every morning and when I tried I could never get anything approaching a pattern.

We’ll just keep going in the hope we hit ov and we haven’t missed it somehow.

Ok so FF put my O date as cd13 but based on the fact my temps never got going after I have done a manual interp... what do the charters think? I have a slow rise which can make O date difficult (I didn't do OPKs this month as I'd apparently ovulated early based on the EWCM and an opk I did on cd12 looked like it was the come down from lh peak). If I stick with cd13 then my lp is too long, and I've had bfns so I tend to think this is more likely. Plus I get a pretty regular temp dip on cd9/10 which is what I had today I think... we've not dtd anywhere near enough given a house full of Christmas guests so I'm still out but trying to understand why AF hasn't arrived yet!!
