Thought someone better start a new thread as we're getting close to the 1000 mark!
Ready - what's your question?

OP posts:
PinkMartini · 17/05/2007 14:37

Hadn't thought of it that way - I was a little crestfallen when AF came even though I wasn't even sure if we'd been BDing enough/at the right time. It's ridiculous.

30andready · 17/05/2007 15:35

HI City - my buddy in being off the pill since August! To boot I experience long cycles, late ovulation, early luteal phase. Funnily enough not a whisper of conception for me neither! Seriously though, it still isn't all thaaaaaaaat long is what I keep telling myself. Just wanted to identify myself as another "nine months ttc and coutning". Although if your periods don't even kick in for two months post pill do you include those first two months?

PinkElephant · 17/05/2007 18:24

Pinkmartini - fellow pinky here again . I know what you mean, I got back from honeymoon last may and felt suprised that I wasn't pregnant immediately. I really thought it would be easy to get pregnant and thought it was more of a decision as to when WE wanted to get pregnant, if anything. Little did I know it would take me another 4 months to pinpoint when exactly I ovulated and then another 3months to get that date bang on the head . You'll get there don't worry.....
Ready - how are you sweetie, haven't seen you in a while?

Woodmouse · 18/05/2007 11:51

well...that's me out this month. AF arrived, so I'll be hanging around on the TTC threads for a while longer . Not entirely surprised given DH's lengthy absences during this month, but there was some well timed BD-ing, so had my fingers crossed. Fifth month, so not time to start worrying yet, but agree with Cityangel when she says she feels like she's the only one who hasn't managed to conceive.

My best friend got pregnant, first time of unprotected BD-ing, so I was taking hope from that. Everyone else seems to "fall" pregnant. I'll need to be pushed (hard) . Ha - we spend all our early lives listening to out teachers/parents/friends' doom laden prophecies about how if we come within three feet of an un-sheathed penis with no clothes on, we will all immediately get up the duff. Not true is it.....

Ready · 18/05/2007 12:06

PinkElephant - How are you? I am ok. Having a bit of a rough month, but nothing I won't come out the other side of! Not going to actively ttc next month, no temping, just good old fashioned living!!

Bella - Glad you like your GP and you came out feeling more focussed. It's great. And I think it's lovely that you planned telling us all - we are a great bunch aren't we

Cityangel - Are we very few and far between on here then? Those of us that have never conceived?? I have never used a pregnancy test, and in my darkest moments, I worry that I never will.

Pinkmartini - You are right, 2 months isn't that long, but that doesn't mean you are not hurting when you don't fall. I remember I was certain I would fall straight away and I think that can make it worse. Hang in there though When you say you didn't get the OV symbol on Persona, what does that mean? That you haven't ovulated at that point?

Nomoremagnolia - How are you? Are you charting again?

Woodmouse - How are you feeling chick? I hope nothing I said the other day upset you? How's the job?

Gilly - Not sure if you are back from your holiday yet? Hope you had a lovely time!! We've missed you! Hope you have thought of some questions

Gangle, Chocolatedays, Kensgirl, Graysongirl, Herbaceous - How are you all? You've been quiet of late?

Geek - How are you petal?

Woodmouse · 18/05/2007 12:54

Ready - of course you didn't upset me!! You were talking a lot of sense. I'm so sorry to hear you are . Is there anything we can help with or just having a blue time? Put yourself first and have a lovely month of living for you. Sounds like bliss. Work is calmer now, but I still have all this pent up anger and frustration with the job, which are NOT good for any TTC-er. I also may have nailed my own career coffin well and truly shut by (possibly) being overheard by my boss calling him, untalented, overpromoted and stupid

Still, I am in a good mood today - the sun is shining outside my window and it's the weekend. Yippeee!

graysongirl · 18/05/2007 13:11

Hello All,
Thanks for remebering me Ready. I have been very quiet on MN due to work crazyness, Ofsted and then GCSE's started properly yesterday so am super busy. Supposed to be doing the lunch queue now actually! On the ttc front I don't think I have even ovulated this month, have some probs in that area so doubtful of BFP. DH and I are going to docs in June as that will be a year of ttc. How depressing? Pretty sure the prob is me and my random ovulation but want to to get DH tested so at least can rule that out.

nomoremagnolia · 18/05/2007 21:00

Hello ladies, sorry I've not been around posting properly recently, I have been lurking and keeping up-to-date.

Sorry to hear you are down Ready, I second what Woodmouse (withpinkearssoontobeadded?) says, is there anything we can help with? You're always there for us being positive, please ask for help if you need it. Have a hug at the least (((Ready)))

Glad things went well with the GP Bella, I hope you find the support you need hugs to you to (((Bella)))

Congrats again to Seaside and MrsMc, I'm really pleased for you both.

We've not been ttc very actively since dh's results, we're just waiting for my af to arrive on a working day so I can go to the GP for blood tests. Totally given up on temping etc, actually I don't even know what CD I am on! Am feeling very disassociated from the whole thing at the moment.

Being bridesmaid to my lil sis a week tomorrow, got to think of an answer to all those rellies asking when we're having kids...any suggestions of a suitable reply to shut them up? (I really can't handle people telling me it'll happen eventually and to relax! ) Will also have to deal with an 8 month pg cousin too.

How's everyone else?

kensgirl · 18/05/2007 22:59

Well! hello Ladies! i've not been around for a while as I,ve ben trying (after the wise words of dh.........) not to be here too much, as i felt as though i was spending more time here than ttc, if you get my drift. Great news on your job offer Gilly, have you decided to accept? I hope your fertility prayers pay off this month for ALL of us.
