siennammm · 25/04/2007 13:57

yeah, wurzel, read your posts, looks like its gonna be a BFP for you - how fantastic. Really hoping everyone on here gets a BFP next month - its my birthday on May 2nd - anyone else got a birthday next month?

Soph73 · 25/04/2007 15:10

Hi everyone. Thanks for that wheelybug, have told dh and looks good for bding 2nite . If I´ve got this right I think I´m CD14 although I´m not quite sure if I´ve got this CD thing worked out properly.

Meto - I hope I´m not here that long either although it is nice to be in contact with everyone.

Goingfor3 - Your dr sounds like a real s**t. How on earth does she know before doing any tests. I didn´t realise that drs these days were trained psychics!!

Lexie100 · 25/04/2007 16:42

Hi all and to all new ladies.

Well i have talked to my close RL friends about the whole TTC and feel much better about the whole thing. I'm just hormonal. Will get on access diagnostic and stock up again for this month.

Thanks for all the support.

CD2 and no idea when AF due.

Good luck with BD and testing everyone else.

bobbydazzler · 25/04/2007 16:58

in answer to Sienna's q re birthdays, it is my DH's on 26th may. He has had a tough start to this year as he lost his Dad and my DS's lovely grandpa in Feb to cancer so I reckon a BFP would be the best birthday pressie I could give him this month. Heres hoping and trying!

siennammm · 25/04/2007 17:14

aw bobby, just wanted to say how sorry i was about DH's dad and grandpa - we lost my darling dad a few years ago and then dh's dad the year after, its hard isnt it - made it really hard when dd was born as we couldnt share it with both dads but i am sure they were watching from wherever they were x

goingfor3 · 25/04/2007 17:47

That very funny Soph73

MrsMcJnr · 25/04/2007 21:42

Meto, will have to think about that (and talk to you more !) Hope you are having a lovely anniversary!

Goingfor3 ? re the egg , I can?t remember exactly what was said, I?d have to search the old threads, and maybe it?s more to do with what the follicle itself does after the egg leaves? Really confused myself now! Sorry! I can?t believe your GP said that. I think they throw that word around too much and that it is insensitive. Mine told me last week that I was probably infertile after my MC. I don?t think she meant permanently but it still felt crap. Hope you are ok?

Welcome Soph73 ? stitch like pains in one side are often felt before OV, its the follicles growing.

The change of plan for DP sounds good Scorpio!

Hello Wheely hope your attempts at calling your DH to action are working more than mine damn and bloody football (and Sky box breaking!) meant there was no BD last night and he is in a stinker tonight and so I doubt I?ll get any tonight either (and had a +ive OPK at lunchtime too!) fingers crossed he changes his tune or I will be seriously furious with him.

How are you Tigerschick? Boss absent most of the day today

Lexie100 ? at least you know where you are now but sorry AF arrived.

Kaleidoscope no worries! Totally understand!

Fingers crossed Boobylicious and Imawurzel

Siennammm I know exactly how you feel. I?m so sorry about your MC. I had a MC on 1/3 and really hoped I?d fall again the first cycle, but now feel quite pleased that I?ve had an AF since then ? as long as I fall this cycle that is! Don?t want to wait 8 months again The first few cycles after a MC can be odd. It is also quite common not to ovulate or to ovulate really late too. I normally have a 28 day cycle with OV between Cd16-18, last cycle was 40 days with OV on cd33. Better luck this cycle! If you have a surge in temp for 3 days on the trot, you are likely to have OVd the day before the rise.

Flumpytigger ? I hope DH stands up to the test ? mine is not keeping his end of the bargain at the mo

Best of luck to you too Bobbydazzler and PippiLangstump

dressedupnowheretogo · 25/04/2007 22:03

wheelybug · 26/04/2007 08:33

hello all !

Welcome Pippi, bobby and sienna .. good luck !

Sorry you've had to join us from April Lexi, especially after the 'am I, aren't I'. Grr on your behalf.

Imawurzel - sounds very promising... fingers crossed, let us know how you get on testing.

Boobylicious - sorry about BFN....

Scorpio - hope the weekend's ok for you !

Hello everyone else, and especially to Meto (whoever you are, I have a vague idea but its probably wrong) cycle buddy. not having much luck (to answer Mrsmc's question...) - a combination of DH not getting in from work till late, eating late, going to bed late and then having an off colour year old shouting out everytime we tried to get down to it meant last night was a right off, as is tonight as DH is out. Luckily no +OPK yet so fingers crossed it holds off till the weekend (whats the betting though I have a shorter cycle than usual this month just to spite me).

Take care everyone !

siennammm · 26/04/2007 09:25

just wanted to say sorry boobylicious on your BFN - heres hoping for a BFP in May x

Thanks for the welcomes from wheely and booby and Mrs McJ and also thanks Sienna for your thoughts re DH's dad. He was the best FIL I could have wished for. I actually got to know him well while on ML with DS as he came to visit me alot cos he was off work having treatment for his illness. I have had many an issue with my MIL although thankfully we bonded eventually over our joint love of DS and I now couldn't do without all her support. When Sienna said about her dad and FIL it made me realise how common an experience we are having with bereavement and how it does help to share which is why this site also helps such alot with TTC and all the experiences related to that. Anyway realise I am probably spelling out the totally obvious so will stop waffling and away to some work! x

Soph73 · 26/04/2007 10:47

Morning everyone! Was talking to DH last night and I think we probably could have conceived DS a lot sooner as I don´t think I got this CD thing right the first time. However, DH was a happy bunny as he´s seeing more action this month than most . Unfortunately DH is out on Fri and staying with a mate and we´re staying at friends for the rest of the weekend and they have really squeaky beds, so no more action this week!! Just to double-check (I know I´m pathetic) can someone please explain the CD thing for me.

plummymummy · 26/04/2007 13:09

cd is cycle day. The first day of your cycle is CD1

Soph73 · 26/04/2007 14:21

Thanks plummymummy - I was correct in working it out after all!

goingfor3 · 26/04/2007 17:22

MrsMcJnr - You were right! I found something saying that when you ovulate it can disprupt one of the hormone level and cause a ting amount of bleeding a couple of days later.

I'm on CD24 today and if I hadn't spotted that I ovulated late this month I would be getting excited as last month I had a 23 day cycle.

PippiLangstrump · 26/04/2007 18:04

'DH was a happy bunny as he´s seeing more action this month than most' LOL soph73!!

Mine is the same!!

meto · 26/04/2007 18:21

hello all. (my anniversary was today not yesterday I got my days all mixed up! lol. anyhow.) thanks for all the well wishes.

woz - YAY big congrats chick.

wheelybug - you're more than welcome to come to the bean thread - we're not v chatty over there at the mo but it comes in waves

hope everyone's doing OK thou - I really will keep up more- promise lol. still no 'o'v for me althou i'm still on red days and also have quite a good test line on the persona sticks so who knows. I think we'll wait the 3 months to see if the O comes up before worrying - easier said than done I know! lol. ooh good news re outlaws - they're not coming till weds next week so it means an extra 4 days of bd'ing to get in just incase

MrsMcJnr · 26/04/2007 19:19

Hello Ladies ? think I OVd today, can?t be totally sure yet of course and temps have been higher than usual due to cough etc but my money?s on today. Means AF is due 8/5 How are you all?

Boobylicious ? fingers crossed that it?s just too early, your signs sound good

Wheelybug - +ive OPK for me at 12pm yesterday, no BD Tues or last night and -ive OPK at 12pm today so managed to persuade DH to let me have a lunchtime ?chase the egg? as we both happened to be at home. Probably too late but we?ll see. Only 3 promising strikes this cycle, the Jury?s now out!

Sorry to hear about AF AnnieMac (being my SILs name ? very odd for me!) better luck this cycle.

Bobbydazzler ? you speak about your FIL with such affection. It must have given him great joy that his son married a lady like you and your DS must have been the icing on the cake. I?m sorry he is gone

Soph73 ? I?m always a bit of DH?s that really enjoy all the action, mine is a bit jaded at the mo I guess, hard task mistress that I am!

Goingfor3 ? glad I wasn?t talking total crap. Knowing when you OV does make all the difference to getting your cycle in perspective doesn?t it.

Meto ? the bean thread? Confused!

Hello Pippi.

wheelybug · 26/04/2007 19:56

ooh mrsmc - doesn't sound too bad re timing at all if you ov today if you managed 'it' today. It ain't over till its over....

hello everyone else !

plummymummy · 27/04/2007 08:05

My cycle is getting shorter and my period lasts for over 7 days - no wonder I've been getting the timing wrong. I reckon I should be trying while I'm still bleeding - hmmm joy (not).

tigerschick · 27/04/2007 08:44

Morning Ladies!

Plummy - Oh No, surely not! There is still quite a wide window even if you do have a short cycle. I hope it doesn't come to that! Have you investigated ways of making your cycle longer? I'm no expert but I'm sure I read on here that there are things you can take... I'm sure someone a lot wiser than me will fill us in soon.

MrsMc - Glad your boss wasn't there the other day, any improvement since? I think lunchtime bding sounds great! Unfortunately dd is always wide awake at lunchtime! You should be ok as they say to bd the day before and the day after ov and that seems to be what you did - well one of them

Scorpio - hope the weekend isn't too bad. Just enjoy the time with your dss and try to let his mum wash over you. Can't really log on til Sunday evening at the earliest as my parents are staying for my birthday so will check on you then

Everyone else - Good morning and good luck for lots of successful bding over the weekend

dressedupnowheretogo · 27/04/2007 08:59

right im buying some ov sticks today its driving me mad now not knowing whats going off

and i still feel strange so i think this af when she finally arrives will be huge and horrid but i have been with out fot 18 months

Soph73 · 27/04/2007 09:17

Morning all.
Pippi - nice to hear we´re in the same boat! Although serious lack of bding last night (probably too knackered from the night before!) and it was his birthday. You´d have thought he´d have wanted an extra pressie.

MrsMcJnr - sorry to hear that, hopefully he´ll pick up over the weekend

Bobbydazzler - sorry to hear about your FIL. My ds never got to meet my dh´s dad as he passed away when dh was in his early 20´s. I think he would have been terribly proud of dh though and I´m sure he´s looking down and smiling on us just like yours is.
