Morning ladies hope you are all well and nurturing those linings and eggs!!

Mumto3girls ? grapefruit juice breaks down mucous so helps create wetter EWCM ? apparently. Seems to work for me

Hey PinkElephant glad you feel excited hon and quite right too! I have to admit, I still feel a bit jaded from the pressures of TTC the first time but I?ll get over that. Eating the grapefruit should have the same effect, yes. I love grapefruit too so it?s no hardship for me either! It?s always good to have something new to try each cycle to give you motivation I find, don?t know what I?ll think of to do differently What?s different for me this time round is DH?s enthusiasm, I think it?ll make the whole process so much less stressful!

Hello Woodmouse ? welcome and I hope you don?t have to visit this thread for too long! Good luck!

Mum2sam ? you are doing all you can hon The pre-seed should reach you, they are normally really quick. I need to relax too, that?s my worst fault!

Hello Mum03 LOL sounds suspicious that thread you are thinking of creating ? are you going to call it ?whilst the cat?s away..? Here?s to our eggs!

Suss ? wishing you and your DH all the best this cycle, I really, really hope it works out for you!

Imawurzel ? good thinking! Think too much grapefruit juice isn?t good either due to being so acidic but a little carton should be ok.

What Cd are you all on? My only cd2.

wheelybug · 11/04/2007 12:46

Hi All

Have come over from April as AF arrived this morning so busy posting 'feeling sorry for myself' messages everywhere..

Having blood tests and scan this month so at least we'll know if there is a hormone problem stopping us (7-8 months of ttc since m/c having conceived twice very easily).

Good luck everyone. Off to slurp grapefruit juice.

mum2sam · 11/04/2007 14:43

im slowly making my way through mine hoping a glass a day will keep my AF away . Looks like we are all putting the grapefruit juice to the test this shall we raise a glass.......

Imawurzel · 11/04/2007 18:50

Don't know what cycle day i'm on.
How do you do that??
Is that from when you first start ttc??
Or really start to take note??

alittlebitshy · 11/04/2007 18:56

imwurzal - your cycle day is the number of days from the start of your period. so the day flow starts - cd (cycle day)1, the next 2 etc etc up to (eg )28. Starts again the firsat day of next period

lissielou · 11/04/2007 19:00

am not ttc for a while but as a ttc thread regular would just like to wish you all the best of luck and lots of jan/feb babies!

Imawurzel · 11/04/2007 19:05

Ah right.
So if AF did turn up on 19th (like it's supposed too) that would be, CD1.
Gotcha.

alittlebitshy · 11/04/2007 19:31

yup that's it. easy once you know but confusing til then lol.

thanks lissie.

(((((lissie)))))

meto · 11/04/2007 19:38

yes wurzel that's right, hopefully AF won't come thou.

wheely bug - looks like you and me are going to be TTC buddies then if we're both CD1 today.

not doing any thing special - can't stand pinapple juice lol. anyhow have got some thrush stuff, and also the persona sticks so roll on end of the week! lol.

Imawurzel · 11/04/2007 21:02

Hopefully not it's been 9 months now.
I'm only on folic acid.
Don't 'do' tablets, can't swallow them.
so don't want to take anything else, in case they are huge!!
I know i am fertile, well was, but hope the doc's didn't do any damage.
I don't really want to spell it all out cos you all might hate me and call me selfish and i don't want that to happen
There were reasons.
Nowt sinister like.

Reecey · 12/04/2007 08:25

Hi

I am just wondering if I can join you girls too, I am CD 2 after dreaded AF turned up yesterday b*itch!. Trying for #1 so this is all very new to me.

PinkElephant · 12/04/2007 09:54

Morning everyone!! Isn't this weather glorious.....could get used to this. So where is everyone in their cycle this month?

Imawurzal - have you got a hang of your dates yet?
Reecey - welcome, hope your recovering from AF arriving
Wheelybug - good luck with the scan and blood tests, keep us posted
Lissie - thinking of you honey
MrMcJr - Do you feel a little bit nervous about getting pg again? I must admit I'm excited that all the restrictions have been lifted from us but I'm a little bit nervous at the same time. Its funny about your DH being full of enthusiasm, mine is exactly the same and is so determined for us to get pg as soon as possible now. Knowing that we can actually get pg it a good feeling I just hope my next little beanie can squeeze itself out of danger and plant itself safely in my womb this time

helloooo to everyone else I've forgotten to say hello to

MrsMcJnr · 12/04/2007 11:30

As you know from the other thread Wheely, I am sorry AF arrived! When I was a teenager, my Mum called it ?the Curse? it made me so embarrassed but I guess at some times in our lives it does feel like a curse! Hope your tests go well.

Lissielou ? I am without words to say how sorry I am hon, I really am hoping to hear good news from you before too long xx

Imawurzel ? no AF for 9 months!?

Welcome Reecey hope you?ll find lots of info and support on here. How long have you been TTC?

PinkElephant ? I guess I do feel a little bit nervous about getting pg again though I really, really want to be and really feel that I would be unlucky for lightening to strike twice. I know it happens but you have to tell yourself your MC on a one off don?t you or else you?d never have the strength to try again? I do know how you feel, I guess it?s only natural that we?d want to avoid the risk of putting ourselves through that again but the prize will be so worthwhile when we get it .

Flumpytigger · 12/04/2007 12:21

Hi all,

I'm just after a bit of advice really..

It's complicated but I want to ttc after my next af which will be very early May.
I was lucky enough to get caught the first time we ttc last August but sadly lost him at 25wks.

I have been back in work for about 4 weeks now & my company (where I've worked for 4yrs) has been taken over by a new company and we have been given new contracts & are ineffect all 'new' employees. This all happened on 1st April & so I need to make sure that I will be eligible for the standard maternity leave & pay (6wks 90% & £108 for the rest) if I get caught straight away?

How would the GP workout how many weeks pregnant I was & when I'd be due? I need to make sure that I will have worked for this company for 26 weeks by the 15th week before I'm due..

Urgh complicated and long winded, I'm sorry, but it's driving me crazy trying to put my mind at rest by figuring it out!!

Help!

I've got everything crossed for us all!

scorpio1 · 12/04/2007 12:43

that sounds like you will have to be working there for 26 weeks by the time you are 25 weeks pg, so if thats true, you will be fine.

my book says if your LMP was 1 May, DD is feb 5 2008

Hespera · 12/04/2007 13:01

Hi everyone,

What is pre-seed? I am ttc no 1 and have been low carbing but have put a stop to that and have started to take folic acid. (only in the last week and am not v religious about it!)

Is there anything else I should be doing?
I'm using Persona and am not OV yet but did get a nice red light today so feel some BDing coming on!

Flumpytigger · 12/04/2007 13:18

Thanks Scorpio, that calculator is a god send. It makes everything so clear

I'm all stocked up and ready to go, hubby won't know what's hit him!

Heres to a happy May for us all

Reecey · 12/04/2007 14:56

Hi MrsMcJnr

I came off the pill at the beginning of January so ever since then really but because my cycles are all over the place I find it hard to work out when I should be ovulating, can anyone recommend good ovulation kits?

PinkElephant · 12/04/2007 15:43

Reecey - I found First Response OTK the best. Do you get any ovulation pains to give you a guide as to when you are ovulation perhaps?
MrsMcJr - Love your positivity!! I am feeling very positive at the moment but also trying to stay realistic so that I don't fall apart if this all happens again. I was told by a friend of a friend of a friend etc who is a spiritual medium, that if you really want something badly, you have to actually imagine yourself in the situation you want to happen. That same night I woke up at 2am fretting as I thought I'd left my baby on the top of the car roof??? Not only did I wake up gutted to realise I have no baby yet but was also slightly disturbed about my future mothering skills!!!!
Flumpytiger - I know excatly what your saying here. I tried to figure out dates etc last year as I had started a new job. Here I am nearly a year later still TTC with threatened redundancy and DH made redundant 4wks ago. Bloody nightmare... I tell you these things cannot be planned but seem to happened when you are at your most vulnerable, financially!!

Imawurzel · 12/04/2007 18:52

MrsMcJnr I came off the pill in Oct 06 and been having 30 day long AF's but the last 3 months have been 26-28 days apart.
Getting back to noraml i'm guessing.
Af is due 19th April. (or maybe not)

Imawurzel · 12/04/2007 18:52

normal [gggrrrrrrr

goingfor3 · 12/04/2007 18:56

Evening ladies,

Sorry to see so many who are here after miscarriage .

I'm not counting cycles days this month or using OPK as I'm trying not to get too obsesive! I am comming on to my fertile phase judging by my cm. Af is due end of april start of may.

pobletsmum · 12/04/2007 21:44

Hi everyone,

I'm at CD4 now, and not really doing much preparation yet, other than taking Sanatogen prenatal, but not taking these as religiously as when TTC1 .

Reecey - have never used Ov kits, but have managed to monitor my fertility quite accurately by taking my temperature in the mornings and watching for other fertility signs (there are websites for charting this kind of thing & they can give you more info). My cycles vary 28-40 days but I always know when af is due by these fertility signs, which is quite handy, especially when TTC .

Scorpio1 - I think that link is to an American site. They work out the dates for the trimesters slightly differently to UK sites, although due dates seem to be the same. Here is a British due date calculator in case anyone needs it.

Best wishes for those of you further along in your cycles...

pinkslippers · 13/04/2007 10:19

Hi all CD2 here. Good luck everyone on the may thread.

MrsMcJnr · 13/04/2007 10:53

Hi Reecey ? It can take some time for things to settle down after being on the pill. Your best bet until you know what is going on when is to be really vigilant about your CM (cervical mucous) and aim to go for it whenever it is the consistency of egg white or wetter and you feel lubricative or wet as opposed to sticky or better still aim for 2/3 times per week to cover your bases! Like Pinkelephant says, the pains are a good sign too, if you have them, you?ll know about them. Sharp and stitch like on one side. OPKs can be helpful as a back up to confirm the time when you think you might be about to ovulate. Used on their own, especially if you are irregular, they could really stress you out and that can actually delay ovulation. It?s happened to me before! I get mine from access diagnostics, they are much cheaper especially if you ovulate late like me but still start to worry from cd14 that you?ll miss it, I often need more than the standard 5 in a pack! Good luck with it all! Ask any questions anytime; we?d all be happy to help.

Hey Pinkelephant thanks, I am totally with you on the visualisation. It is apparently really important (says Zita West) as your brain controls the release of the LH to bring on OV and being in the baby zone helps apparently! Mind over matter and all that! I think if it happens again, I will fall apart and as I know that I can?t prevent that or make it feel better if it does by preparing for it, I?m better to tell myself that it won?t ? does that make any sense? PMSL about your dream!

Imawurzel ? hiya, it can be a long haul getting back to normal but the last few cycles sound promising! Let?s hope that you are on your way to that BFP

Goingfor3 ? thanks for you kind thoughts Make the most of that CM and fingers crossed!

I hope we are not upsetting anyone on here by talking about miscarriages I remember when I started TTC being terrified when I saw how many ladies it happened too but I think it is better to know the stats actually and hopefully no one on here will need to know anymore than that If anyone feels they?d rather not read about it on this thread, please say and I?ll talk about it elsewhere in future.

Welcome Pobletsmum ? usual name? where does that come from? I temp too and find it a really helpful indicator. We have a chart spotters thread here and post our charts here if you?d like to join or a temp spotting thread here if that?s more your thing I use Ovusoft and would be lost without it!

Hello PinkSlippers good luck to you too!
