Oh ffs and now the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant again. Great for them, but even harder for those of us waiting for a lucky month!

SquashyMummy · 04/09/2017 10:27

Ps Fingers crossed ladypug I think I'll try testing on Friday.

TeaPleaseBob · 04/09/2017 10:55

First of all congratulation to everyone with a BFP! Hopefully this is a lucky thread

Can I join you all? Longtime lurker on conception board. I'm 35 TTC number 2, have a DD 4 years and been trying a long time (have lost count but over 18 months under 2 years). Took 18 months to conceive DD so expected a long wait but totally fed up now and starting to think it'll never happen. Worse as my daughter would love a baby brother or sister and mentions it often. She cried when her new cousin was born as she wanted a baby sister so much (had a wee cry with her)

Anyway, I'm approx 8/9 DPO and not testing until at least Saturday when AF due (cycles been bit weird over last year but seem to be settling). Also considering using clear blue digital ovulation kit if not BFP this month

Gudgyx · 04/09/2017 10:57

Did I see someone say before that Wilko tests are good? Just got a packet, trying to hold off til first wee tomorrow to do it, when AF is due!

Beansprout30 · 04/09/2017 10:57

Just seen that Squashy, they announced pregnancy last time we were trying Angry

Nubian9454 · 04/09/2017 11:41

Welcome Tea. Ladies I'm still sitting here in Limbo. CD 35 today. Very strong positive opk today...5 in a row so far. Still BFN yesterday. A BFP unlikey at this stage me think. Still slight cramping and back ache and pain Down legs. This is my longest cycle. SO and I dtd for last couple of days just in case. Anyone on here who has been through this?

All the best for those who will be testing at the end of this week. Have my fingers crossed for you x

Unicorn22 · 04/09/2017 12:39

Well ladies AF finally arrived after being a week late. Oh well. Looks like I will have to book my reservation for the October bus. Hope you're not in limbo too much longer nubian

Good luck to everyone still waiting to test Smile

Nubian9454 · 04/09/2017 12:57

Sorry about af Unicorn. At this stage I would welcome af with open arms as I just cannot stand not knowing what's going on. At least if Af arrives I can start planning for next Cycle. ..but at this stage I'm just waiting around....Most frustrating

Beansprout30 · 04/09/2017 13:13

Oh bless your DD Tea, I don't like the thought of my dd being an only child, it would break my heart if she ever got upset about it.

Sorry For af Unicorn

DragonsandDungeons · 04/09/2017 13:23

Had an ultrasound today. Turns out I'm either ovulating or about to Shock. runs to find DP

Beansprout30 · 04/09/2017 13:31

Exciting Dragon, get shagging!

Boomerang456 · 04/09/2017 13:36

So I just on a whim decided to take a test now, fully expecting BFN... But... I don't know! Very faint positive? And if so, does it matter I took it apart straight away- could that cause evap instead? AF not due for another 3 days so I know it's quite soon. What do you think?

TTC #2 (September BFPs)
SquashyMummy · 04/09/2017 13:50

I'm not familiar with that kind of test but it looks like a faint positive boomerang. At 3 days before AF, it's definitely possible. Fingers crossed!

Boomerang456 · 04/09/2017 14:00

Thank you Squashy. It's a superdrug early response one but I took it apart- worried that might have made the result invalid now! Damn, I really hope I haven't given myself false hope.

Beansprout30 · 04/09/2017 14:52

Fingers crossed for you Boomerang, can you get your hands on another test?

roseandtime · 04/09/2017 14:54

If it isn't invalid, it looks positive to me...! Tentative huge congrats!!

roseandtime · 04/09/2017 14:55

Although why did you take it apart?? 😂😂

Cupcakesandlove · 04/09/2017 14:57

boomerang that was the first test I took with my daughter it was lighter than that and I took it apart, it was a week before I was due.... she's standing infront of me 21 months old!

Nubian9454 · 04/09/2017 14:58

There is a line there but test may be invalid now that you have opened it. Did it show up when before you opened it?

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 04/09/2017 15:05

Welcome newbies :)

AF is finishing so I have warned DH that I am going to shag him senseless for the forseeable future Grin who said romance is dead?

Boomerang456 · 04/09/2017 15:05

Gah, I'm going to have to go and get another test! So annoyed with myself.
I opened it because the window looked a bit flooded and was obscuring the result- there was a pink 's' shape where the line would be! I wanted to lift up the plastic bit covering it to fix it... Then the line came up! So I guess it could well just be evap.
Thanks for your thoughts. I hate pregnancy tests- why can't they do something to stop evap lines from happening!

Freezingwinter · 04/09/2017 15:33

It took me 10 cycles to conceive my beautiful son. I'm on cycle 1 ttc2. I tested today 12dpo bfn, just seen Kate Middletons pregnant and feeling really down and fed up. I know it's only cycle 1 but I am so worried it will take ages, or worse not happen at all.

Nubian9454 · 04/09/2017 15:54

Boomerang it still a good sign you might be. Fingers crossed for you.

Lol Ovaries you are too funny. With my cycle being so long me and SO have been so much more relaxed with dtd because...well I don't know what the hell is going on with my body so whatever will be will be I guess.

Welcome Freezingwinter. Baby dust to you and everyone on here.

LadyPug · 04/09/2017 18:06

Looks good boomerang let us know about the second test! This is a lucky thread!

Boomerang456 · 04/09/2017 19:53

Thanks, will do-terrified to test again now though!
