Welcome mamoffrankie! It's my first cycle too and only had one opportunity to dtd this month (although at least I was ovulating at the time!). I'm new to the lingo so trying to keep up with all the acronyms and things!

LadyPug · 01/09/2017 00:03

Ps no idea what an OPK is!

UppityStitch · 01/09/2017 00:30

Hi Everyone, I've decided to stop lurking and hop aboard

My stats:

35
TTC #2 - DS is nearly 3
Cycle 2
AF not due until 25.09

Been pregnant twice before and caught first time. First pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks.

I'm assuming AF is due on 25.09, but I've been taking Pregnacare which has extended my cycle from a clockwork 28 days to 34 (don't know what it'll do this month). This meant I missed the window as I assumed I was still on 28 days.

MamOfFrankie · 01/09/2017 08:26

Morning LadyPug - OPK (I think) is ovulation predictor kit. And hi UppityStitch

MamOfFrankie · 01/09/2017 08:32

Sorry, got cut off half way through that one! Fingers crossed that once is enough LadyPug.

Got a feeling I've not been caught this month, but still 5 more days AF and the countdown starting again.

DragonsandDungeons · 01/09/2017 08:36

Yes it's an ovulation predictor. I ovulated on CD10 last cycle so I'm now worrying I'm ovulating early

LadyPug · 01/09/2017 08:43

Thanks everyone and welcome uppity!

LadyPug · 01/09/2017 08:44

Ps thank you mam, I hope so but getting pregnant first time must be a bit of a fluke! It took 4 months last time but I'm older now so I guess I just have to play it by ear, as we all do!

DragonsandDungeons · 01/09/2017 08:48

Yep got EWCM today. CD7 or CD8 depending on whether I count CD1 as spotting or not. Is this too early?

LopeyLopez · 01/09/2017 09:40

Many congrats Karpuzkiz......looking like this Sept thread is going to be as lucky as the July one was! I hope so, for all of us! Smile

Somebody shoot me.... I did a test Shock clearly can't f-ing help myself! 10dpo today and it wasn't even fmu. Immediately looked negative. But then about 8mons later thought I saw something. So now been obsessively analysing the pee stick. It's a crap Waitrose test I have no idea what the time limit as as don't have the box. Google tells me it is probably 25miu.

Tell me to step away from the test and that this is clearly a negative (or at best an evap)

I have no symptoms. Usually get sore boobs around now but nothing. Temps not doing anything out of the ordinary, still above 37c but they don't usually drop til 12/13dpo for me anyway.

Why couldn't I just wait?!!! I'm so angry at myself as swore I wouldn't test!!!

Ps welcome to the crazy house Mam :)

Stee1 · 01/09/2017 09:54

AF due tomorrow bfn this morning... still could be in for end of September. What opk does everyone use I've been using cheapies off Amazon my surge came an went so quick so ordered clear blue ones are they any good? X

MotherofBoy · 01/09/2017 10:07

stee I've been using clear blue, just the standard ones tho not the dual hormone. I find them really good only cos no squinting at lines involved!

cautiousoptimist1 · 01/09/2017 10:15

Mother, I don't keep tests in the house for the very same reason! I'd drive myself mad! I wait until AF is late before testing as I find a BFN so disappointing - when I was pregnant last time I got a BFN at 2 days late so assume an early test wouldn't be worth it for me anyway.
However I can see a very faint line so worth testing again in a few days.

Welcome mam and uppity.

I still have the pain in my right side but it's not as uncomfortable as yesterday so is easing off. I'm pinning hopes on implantation but I think I might have pulled a muscle Grin!

Stee1 · 01/09/2017 10:18

@motherofBoy I think I've ordered the dual hormone ones is there any difference? X

MotherofBoy · 01/09/2017 11:06

stee yes - dual hormone detect two hormones. So when lh detected at start of surge you get flashing smiley then you get solid smiley at peak of lh surge when you ovulate as a second hormone is released then (can't remember the name of that one!). The standard clear blue just give you a solid smiley face or a blank circle depending on if lh has been detected - they just let you know when surge has started rather than actually when you ovulate

Karpuzkiz · 01/09/2017 11:41

mother I think I see it! Test tomorrow morning! I used clear blue OPK this month for the first time the dual one with flashing faces. It seems to have worked for me this month, I'll keep you all posted.

I have fingers crossed for everyone it sounds like we're off to a positive start xx

MotherofBoy · 01/09/2017 12:01

Oh I am too anxious I don't want to test again 🙈 An evap wouldn't be that obvious would it?! It is getting more visible as it dries which I know happens to evaps and to bfps... too worried it's an evap as it was a cheap test. I took it apart (as you do), definitely without a doubt a line there but now convinced it is a bad evap Sad I don't have any symptoms and can't and don't want to really believe it could be as would be getting my hopes up?

Nubian9454 · 01/09/2017 13:00

Mother I see a vvvf line in your first test! Whoop so exciting! Keep testing as days go on and it will get darker. Oh man this is a lucky thread this month! Please some baby dust my way as I wait here in Limbo with no af at cd32 and still bfn...

SquashyMummy · 01/09/2017 13:17

Ah how stressful, got my fingers crossed for you mother!

MamOfFrankie · 01/09/2017 13:28

Yay Mother, I can see it too!

Had to go on a driving lesson today and I swear I drove past about 20 pregnant women. Trying not to drive myself nuts, so I am retreating to my pit to watch GBBO while DD is out with Grandma.

Karpuzkiz · 01/09/2017 17:04

Don't you wish you could invent something to shuv up there to see just what the hell is going on nubian have you ever been this late before? The body is totally bonkers! X

LadyPug · 01/09/2017 17:28

Eeeek good luck Nubian, lots of baby dust coming your way!!!
