I'm so confused about doing this whole bbt thing. My temp went up today in a way that doesn't look normal. Or maybe it is??? I don't know if my sleep pattern is affecting it as a very light sleeper from about 4am-7am. I get up to go to the loo anytime from 2:30am onwards. If later than 4am. I kind just toss and and turn until my alarm goes off at 7am. Today I tested at 6:30am, cause I felt like I had been lying there awake for about 30 min. Will this have an affect? Pic of temp chart below.

Any advice? Should I persevere? Not temp? Or change the time when I temp?

It might have had an effect if you were awake a while before taking it but mine goes up and down in the first two weeks anyways. Mine did something similar today and I looked back on previous month's and it's within the realms of normal.

I'd your donor able to do your dates this month?

Hopping on board, altho' not sure if I should be on this bus or running after the last bus...? AF came 1 August, but with a 28 day cycle will be due again at the end of the month.

Currently getting big flashy smiley faces on ovulation tests, but hubby is making noises that he's too tired. Grrrr! Should I keep pestering (in a sexy and alluring manner naturally) or hold out for a solid smiley day.....?

Oh no @juneybean bean. I know in South Africa where you have the insemination there are books that you can go through and choose a donor. According to a friend of mine you can get the company to keep some for later if you choose to have another child and would like it to be from the same donor. Is your donor from a company or someone you know?

Horrible for someone to commit and then let you down and the last moment. Pretty cruel actually. Sending lots of hugs. X

We found him on a website for co-parents/sperm donors.

As the laws in England are ridiculous so we cannot use a sperm bank without paying thousands for fertility treatment as well.

How's everyone doing? DH & I are trying the SME method. I am taking temps every morning, doing ovulation tests every day until I get a positive (seems to be more difficult than I thought since I work 12hr shifts!) & then when we get a positive, mark on the calendar & DTD that day & for the following 2 days, take a break then carry on again. Then wait 15 days to poas. - sounds simple right......I'm driving myself potty trying to remember to take tests. I'm exhausted from work & currently full of a cold too, so not really feeling in the mood to do the no pants dance.

Dh and I are also trying the SME plan this cycle, but I've never done the temping thing.

Today is day 8 so we dtd today then it's every other day til I get a smiley face on my ovulation test, then it's 3 days in a row, miss a day then back on it again...

Does that sound right to you? x

@Melodypond17 that's exactly right. This is the first month that I'm temping as well so I'm not sure if I'm getting it right or not. OPK has already given me a positive the other day so our 3 days end today. I found it strange that I ovulated so soon after AF though. How have you found the SME so far?

@CoconutGal - today is day 8 so only really just started the plan, but dh is already grumpy that he has to wait til Tuesday now to dtd again!

This is cycle 7 now I think of ttc so we're trying anything that could help!

i came off the progesterone mini pill end June.
Last month i had a 39day cycle, ovulation cd23, it was my 1st month ttc. very frustrating!
I,m now on cd10 of my 2nd cycle and thought I'd take an OPK just incase - ewcm appeared - and i got a strong positive, i would say a peak.

has anyone experienced such a shift in ovulation patterns? is it possible that each ovary has different timings? or is this just my body adjusting to being off the pill?!

i need wine!

How are you all doing? I am having a very frustrating cycle 3 - I have been on my period now for 15 days (15!!!!!) which NEVER happens & I usually have awful/heavy periods but this has been beyond! So annoying as I was planning to dtd as much as I can this month (every other day the whole month) & this has changed that.

Not sure whether to go to the docs as it's totally new to me - but it's just adding to the TTC fun! 😩

15 day period sounds miserable! Hope it means your ovulation will be supercharged this month!

Oh I hope so! My periods are hideous / but this is something else / heaviest they have ever been! Hope it doesn't mess things up this month!

But - I am loving your positive approach of strong ovulation!

Can totally relate to your period woes! Today is day number 12 for me and my period has never really gone beyond 7 days before.

I have no answers unfortunately, like you I'm hoping it doesn't affect my chances this month!

Fingers crossed your body decides 15 days is quite enough 😀 Before I stated ttc, I never realised what a minefield it would be trying to figure out basic bodily functions!

Sadly, I don't feel like I can ask my doctor if it's an issue after she told me last week to stop tracking my cycle so much and stop the ttc anxiety...

Our donor is coming tonight I'm day 12 and my opk are starting to get darker so we will see.
