@loobylou124 I always struggle to get a positive, this month was the first month I've ever got one. I have still ovulated but definitely feel your frustration.

@juneybean your chart is looking good so far, FX for you!

Positive OPK on Tuesday but only managed to DTD Tuesday evening. Definitely ovulated last night as I could feel it; DH wasn't up for it again as feeling too tender from the night before. So frustrating, I just hope the conceive plus I'm using does it's job. So annoyed and disappointed right now.

NimbleKnitter · 24/08/2017 09:26

@Emz01 yep, I was Tuesday too - so ovulation sickness this morning came with a bang (and some puking).

Genuinely worried about how bad pregnancy could be if ovulation makes me vomit

AlexsMum89 · 24/08/2017 10:09

@Emz you DTD the day before, so that should have you covered. Don't be sad xx

@NimbleKnitter don't worry, I've been pregnant before (DS is 7) but the past year is the first time I've not been on hormonal contraception. I'm finding the fluctuations in my cycle much worse to handle! I spend most of my time sick and/or with really sore boobs nowadays. Can't wait to get this all over with!

NimbleKnitter · 24/08/2017 10:25

@AlexsMum89 good to know!

I've noticed mine is tied to progesterone - I get really sick when it goes up, and get withdrawal migraines when it goes down.

When I was on the mini-pill I was sick every morning (for 5 years).

Doc has recommended the depo injection, but obviously that's not if you want a baby. That's sort of how I ended up here - need to get the babymaking done so I can get started on the hormone treatment

AlexsMum89 · 24/08/2017 10:42

@NimbleKnitter mine is progesterone related too, but it means that I'm sick from ovulation right up until AF. Then I feel horrible with AF, so I get about 9 days a month where I feel ok!!

I was on the depo injection for 6 years, only came off it a year ago to TTC. It's been horrible coming off it, but the 6 years I was on it were bliss! No periods, no hormones, just constant happy!

NimbleKnitter · 24/08/2017 11:01

@AlexsMum89 great! That's something to look forward to at least!

I was worried about pregnancy because progesterone levels are sky high, but have to get there first.

Currently making plans for a trip to London in October, which will be cycle 3. Trying not to think about it.

Emz01 · 24/08/2017 11:05

@NimbleKnitter wow sounds horrible all this sickness, I didn't realise how badly hormones can affect people until I joined these threads. Hope you aren't feeling too bad. Flowers

Thanks @AlexsMum89 I know that I should be covered from the night before I just wanted to give it a good go this month so felt a little disappointed. I've been for a run now and cleared my head so feeling more positive. Xx

Thank you Smile
My first stupid question.....! I always get spotting 2/3 days before AF so I'm not sure what to count as day 1 of my cycle. Do you start at spotting or wait until AF is in full force?! AF due tomorrow but already been spotting.

juneybean · 24/08/2017 13:59

Have you had the spotting checked out? CD1 should be counted as first day of red flow...I spot the night before usually which confuses me.

OP posts:
AlexsMum89 · 24/08/2017 14:26

@juneybean what do you mean by 'checked out' - should we if we get spotting? I just thought it was normal...

juneybean · 24/08/2017 14:31

I think sometimes spotting a few days before AF can be caused by a low something or other...but not entirely sure!

OP posts:
Meggimoo · 24/08/2017 14:56

It started doing that when I started taking the pill a few years ago, was told it was just due to the hormonal changes of taking it. I stopped the pill in May but the spotting just before AF has continued. Maybe my body is still adjusting?

Marigold83 · 24/08/2017 15:19

Hi ladies Smile

Please may I join too?

I'm loving how supporting this thread us already.

Just using OPK and Ovia app to track at the moment, but might start tracking temp too.

Baby dust to all StarStarStar

juneybean · 24/08/2017 15:21

Welcome marigold. I couldn't get on with Ovia - I didn't understand it haha.

AlexsMum89 · 24/08/2017 15:43

@juneybean this is something else for me to google lol. The past couple of months I have had spotting a good couple of days before AF. It's been cruel as it's made me think it was implantation bleeding when it was just AF being a nuisance.
I find any kind of low hormones hard to believe at the moment as I feel like I'm walking around with two melons on my chest! Two very sore melons! hahaha

Janefx40 · 24/08/2017 15:47

Hello all - it's been great catching up on the thread. I took a break from the chatter a couple of weeks ago but nearing the end of another 2WW so need the support.

So to recap I am

TTC #1
Cycle 5
CD 23 (of 27)

AF due 29th Aug so technically August bus but I jumped over here after last failed cycle with a few other folks.

I get a menstrual migraine on day 24 which is tomorrow. Woke up this morning with a hint of a headache so am expecting it to come. Aarrggh this doesn't get easier does it?!

@Marigold83 I use Ovia - I like it! It seems to respond well to the info I put in.

NimbleKnitter · 24/08/2017 16:19

I've spent the day planning (but not booking) ski holidays for Feb/March.

Figure it's a win:win if I can't go because of pregnancy

Meggimoo · 24/08/2017 16:52

@Alexsmum89 I have just googled and now convinced I have everything lol!

juneybean · 24/08/2017 17:40

Glad to have you back Jane!!

OP posts:
juneybean · 24/08/2017 17:41

Sorry to make you worry about something new! I'm convinced I must have something wrong with me so always googling something!

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 24/08/2017 17:45

I'm a non-stop googler too! I actually went to see a private gynae the other day because I need someone who can tell me the answers to stop me feeling I have to work it all out myself!

It was good - except that I already knew most of what he said because of my constant googling!

AlexsMum89 · 24/08/2017 18:02

I googled it. I feel like I've been under the wrong impression all along! The internet basically says if you're not in one of several scenarios you should see your gp if you get spotting! I'll see what happens this month, if it happens again it will be 3 months in a row

McTufty · 24/08/2017 18:10

Hi everyone! Jumping on if that's ok.

TTC#1
Age 33
Cycle 4

BFP due 18 Sep

Came off pill in May and have only a 7 day luteal phase since then when has really concerned me so I'm on a cocktail of everything I've read can help!

On that point meggimoo spotting before AF can be associated with a weaker luteal phase. This is totally normal although fucking annoying after birth control, for anything up to a year. How many dpo are you when you start spotting? Unlikely to cause you an issue but you could take B6 (as part of a B Complex) and 750mg vitamin c to help with progesterone and stronger luteal phase.

I also like Ovia and use FF to chart!

Good luck to those expecting BFPs over next few days!
