July bus - jump aboard!

Thought I'd start a July bus, I'll be due to test around the 3/4th (because I'm impatient mostly). Fingers crossed for us all!

wwithcheese my bff has a 3 day old baby too! Going to see her on Friday. Can't wait to hold the baby!

Today I woke up with slightly sore nipples and had some sharp pains in my side which could be ovulation pains. Did an opk a few mins ago and it looks darker than the last one this morning but I don't think quite positive? DTD late last night, might have to DTD again tonight and maybe tomorrow. Not sure how much DH will be up for 3 days in a row which I'm worried about. Any advice on when is best to DTD if we did it last night already?

I'd say tonight, tomorrow morning and maybe the day after

Does anyone else checking their cervix?

mama Not so much my cervix but I check my mucous periodically. Today at 7dpo it is creamy.... also had a touch of snotty CM like yellowygreen. Not sure if it means anything this soon though.

@Mamasbooksbabynumber2 I just downloaded the Ovia app and it has a section where you can monitor your cervix and cm so I checked today for the first time. According to the app I'm due to ovulate between 3-8 July. My cm is watery and cervix is quite high and open (I think). Does that mean ovulation is imminent?

For those who have been regularly checking their cervix and doing ovulation tests etc. How soon was it from watery cm and high open cervix to a positive opk?

I have no idea how to check my cervix!!

There's also a link on there to a site with lots of photos of cervixes at different stages during the menstrual cycle and during/after pregnancy. It's a bit gross but really interesting. Cervixes are a bit alien looking!

@Mamabooksbabynumber2 haha that's probably more DTD than DH can cope with. Will give it a good go anyway.

@MissWitch I'm not sure about how to check your cervix I just keep an eye on cm. I'm still getting ewcm and OPK wasn't quite positive earlier.

Hahah emz now the fw is over I'm taking a break and dp is now feeling slightly neglected!

I cannot stop eating!!! Not good!!! People gonna be asking me if I'm pregnant and I'm going to be like nah it's a food baby!!!

I tested, bfn. Still no sign of AF. I'm just praying I don't wake up on the morning of the wedding to a horrible heavy bleed (just my luck).
Cake going ok, all 3 tiers baked and dirty iced ready for fondant icing. My back and feet are killing me!

Fingers crossed for you AlexsMum89 it's so horrible not knowing. At least your cake is going well, hopefully it's giving you a bit of distraction.
Emz01 I checked again this evening and I now have EWCM and my cervix is high and open, so I think I must be ovulating or at least very close to. Not quite sure of my cycle length so I put my longest (34 days) into the app which says my FW is 3-8th July but if I adjust it to 28 days (shortest cycle) that puts me on day 1 of my FW today. Either way I'm just making sure DH and I dtd at least once a day for now.

@MissWitch yes sounds like you're close to ovulation to me. I had EWCM for about 3 days before ovulation.

I think it's pretty safe to say I'm currently ovulating or have ovulated. I have been getting some intense sharp pains on my left side, unmistakable ovulation pains, this has been going on for a few hours. Also my nipples are very sore especially on my left which can't be a coincidence. I must have missed my LH surge or the opk's were rubbish.

Hi fuzzyowl sorry to hear about your mc How long ago was it? Mine took around 5 or 6 weeks to come back after mc, so hopefully yours won't be too long

Emz In terms of how many times to DTD, I read that every day is not necessary and the quality of the sperm is actually lessened, so every other day is better...also that sperm can stay around inside for up to 7 days!

Fuzzy - hope you're ok - my 1st AF after my MC was about 4 weeks but I read it could take up to 6-7 weeks.

MrsW76 I actually read the opposite. Supposedly sperm quantity/quality doesn't change no matter how many time you dtd, unless there is an issue with low sperm count already, so the more the better. As long as your man can do it physically that is.

Emz I just did an ovulation test. It was inconclusive. Classic poundworld! I'll try again tomorrow but I'm not wanting to get too caught up with testing at this stage. Learnt my lesson after last month I went a bit crazy!

Thank you and I appreciate it. It started just over a week ago but I have now got a negative pregnancy test, so assume this will just be a slightly longer cycle than usual.

Welcome @FuzzyOwl sorry to hear about your mc. My AF took around 5 weeks to come back after mc and I was about 6 weeks along when it happened. FX yours returns soon.

@MrsW76 yes I've read that you can get away with every other day too, but I think every day is ok as long as DH doesn't have issues with his swimmers. I was just trying to see what peoples opinions were on how to maximise my chances when I know I prob won't get DH to DTD 3 days in a row.

@MissWitch that's interesting, was there even a second line on the test? I've never used the poundland ones. If you check the packet I think it confirms what day you should start testing based on cycle length. I've been using the wilkos ones along with the odd Sainsburys own brand. Think I preferred Sainsburys but they were quite expensive. When is your af/bfp due?

Af/bfp due anywhere between 16-20th July. My last cycle was 34 days where previously it had been 28 days on the dot. Think it's re-regulating because of having the coil out. I also had a laparoscopy on 4th May to check for endo (thankfully it was all clear!). But it's left me not knowing my cycle length now so makes it difficult to work out when I may be ovulating. With regards the test I think maybe I didn't have it dipped in the sample for long enough. I left it in for about 10 seconds it could have been less and then rested it on the side of the pot for 10 mins but only the test line showed up and it was quite faint, that was after I tipped the stick up a bit and it still took a couple of minutes to show up.

Woke up to AF three days early. Crying right now instead of going to work. Starting to think it'll never happen to us. Cycle 7 here we come........

@MissWitch wow fingers crossed you get a positive on the opk's to let you know when you're ovulating. Glad your endo results were clear that must have been a relief.

@Refilona sorry to hear AF has arrived early for you.

I'm going to join this thread. Only dtd once during fertile period but you never no!
