Hey. DH is back and I've told him the tale of woe. He was really surprised as he thought the doc had left on an upbeat note. I knew as soon as the scan was empty - just didn't seem right that there would be nothing there at all.

He's being lovely and said we will make time to do something nice this weekend just the two of us. I think I will tell my family and friends when I'm back as otherwise I'd feel a bit strange just not acknowledging it at all.

I emailed my boss too as we have loads on over the next few weeks and I feel it's only right that he understands what's going on. I won't be able to take time off so think it best he knows.

Thanks for all your kind words. I don't think it's really hit me yet. It's just so utterly shit. It's really unfair how everything can seem bright and rosy one minute and then just totally over the next. I think it'll take me some time to get my head around it all.

Parsnips just want you to know we're all here for you. It's totally and utterly shit and nothing we can say makes it feel any better but the support of this group helped me through more than you'll all ever know. No matter what stage you miscarry you have invested in your little one and it hurts like hell. Take time for you and for you and your partner and allow yourself to grieve. You're all in my thoughts tonight sending you lots of love and if you want to chat you know where I am x

DancingUnicorn · 11/05/2017 19:50

So glad your DH is being lovely parsnips. I hope the two of you are able to spend some quality time together. All the thoughts for you. ❤️

HeyJupiter · 11/05/2017 20:04

Love to you and your DH (who sounds fab) x

Seven0fNine · 11/05/2017 21:57

Thinking of you and your DH parsnips. I hope seeing family and friends gives you some comfort. So sorry Flowers

Penguin27 · 12/05/2017 07:29

Morning all, how is everyone feeling today? X

HbH · 12/05/2017 07:39

Morning!

Good thanks Penguin a second fairly good nights sleep in a row so can't complain.

Safe flight today Parsnips (think it's today?) Your DH sounds really sweet... hope your week in the UK is everything you need it to be Flowers

DH and i went out on a date last night, tapas at an amazing Italian/Maltese place we love! Was really fun, especially as i seem to be coming out the other end of the exhaustion tunnel... he wants to do at leAst one a month before we get dive bombed by a little maniac!

Also, I've been a day ahead all week... really thought it was Saturday 😡

Enjoy the scan today Jupes!

Mummyme87 · 12/05/2017 07:43

Morning ladies

Hope you're doing okay parsnips thinking of you, and glad your DH is so understanding and caring

I keep waking up at 6am and not being able to get back to sleep. Really irritating particularly when I'm on a night shift tonight!

HeyJupiter · 12/05/2017 07:47

Morning all :)

Safe trip today parsnips, hope you're doing okay. Being away for a week might be exactly what's needed.

Thanks Hb, fingers crossed all is well. Tapas sounds gorgeous..

mummy I was the same with early morning waking in first few months. It's improved a bit now, hope yours does too lovely x

Seven0fNine · 12/05/2017 07:52

Morning all,
Hope you are OK parsnips xx

Sounds lovely Hb - good you are making time for each other and good news about the exhaustion!

Good luck for your scan today Jupiter. Was it 2.30? I'll be checking my phone all day for your update xx

Bit of AF type backache/cramping yesterday which does often happen the week before AF. Got my friends coming round for dinner and wine tonight and apart from one class this morning I'll be working from home xx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/05/2017 07:59

I've had terrible insomnia the past few nights. Not sleeping till 1.30am. Normally sleep like a log! It's only 9am but already nice and hot here. I'm by the pool writing up my conference notes, there is literally no one here.

It's F1 this weekend in Barcelona and I just saw the Ferrari team arrive at the hotel which is quite cool.

My sister is back home apparently but no news since Tuesday about her friend. I don't think she can even talk about it. The last scan showed no brain activity at all but I don't know whether they turned off the life support yet. It's so terribly sad.

Jupiter best of luck for the scan today.

Parsnips I'm thinking of you x

Glad you've been sleeping better Hb! Tapas sounds amazing, and it definitely makes sense to go out as much as you can now while you still have the chance!

Early morning wake ups are rubbish mummy, will you be able to get some sleep during the day?

Hope AF stays away seven, enjoy you dinner and wine.

Good luck for the scan today jupiter! Can't wait for your update.

Hope you're doing ok parsnips. Have a safe flight x

JB1983 · 12/05/2017 08:13

Parsnips safe travels today. Will be thinking of you and DH today x

mummy I feel your pain with the early mornings and nightshift. I can't seem to sleep in past 7am. Just about to finish a nightshift at 9am and I cannot wait to get in my bed! However I'm off for a week now so not all bad 😊

Eek Jupiter today's the day!! All the best for your scan.

grumpy I was already jealous of your sunny pool pics but now doubly jealous that F1 is in town too.

Tapas sounds amazing Hb, glad your not feeling as tired anymore.

How are you doing penguin?

seven fx this is your month and the cramping is a good sign x

DancingUnicorn · 12/05/2017 08:14

Just done my first opk. I know you're not supposed to do them with fmu, but I'm out tonight, so I figure fmu is better than midnight? And chances of it being positive cd10 are low... The instructions say to let the urine get to room temp before testing. Did anyone actually do that?!

Jupiter hope the scan goes well and the morning goes quickly. Must be torture having to wait until the afternoon!

Grumpy F1 teams arriving is cool. And well jealous of the pool. But sorry about the insomnia. And your poor sister. Have been thinking of her, must be so awful.

Date night sounds like such a good idea hb. And I really wish I was Saturday!

Parsnips hope you managed to get some sleep lovely and you are not in too much physical pain. Thinking of you. ❤️

Mummyme87 · 12/05/2017 08:21

jupiter good luck for your scan today. Very exciting

grumpy very jealous of your view right now, I'm looking at a miserable grey sky through the kitchen window!

JB enjoy your sleep. Nothing better than a post night shift sleep. I have a week off as well after tonight 😊

charl19 · 12/05/2017 08:22

Lots of love parsnips, totally echo what everyone else has said.. I found telling my mum was a particular relief, nothing better than a mummy cuddle however old you are!!

Hope that this week will be able to give you a good rest, sounds nice that DH wants to do something special with you xx

Hope everyone has a good day- grumpy am very jealous it's chucking it down with rain today!

Good luck for the scan Jupiter am looking forward to hearing from you!!

Xx

NaturWilde · 12/05/2017 08:34

Take care and safe travels parsnips. Go easy on yourself, and let this take all the time you need.

jupiter - good luck!

grumpy I'm 10w5d and had the Panorama at 9+2. Results back after an impressive 5 working days! Crazy we get to know the sex already.

Take care all

HeyJupiter · 12/05/2017 08:37

You're a lovely lot - scan at 2:50 so will update as soon as I can after that xx :)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/05/2017 08:42

Thanks @NaturWilde I'm having harmony on Tuesday at 10+2, they said I need to be at least 10 weeks. Is panorama different then? I'm so excited to find out the sex, I can't wait!!

NaturWilde · 12/05/2017 08:58

@TheGrumpySquirrel

They test for the same things, but Panorama can be done earlier.

I hope you are ok Parsnips have a safe flight and try to enjoy your time at home

Sorry to hear it didn't get any better for Dsis friend Grumpy

Jupiter I cannot wait to see your scan pics later!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/05/2017 10:39

Just heard that she passed away yesterday. They switched off the life support. Having a little cry because it's so unfair. She was so young.

DancingUnicorn · 12/05/2017 10:42

Grumpy 💐❤️

Mummyme87 · 12/05/2017 10:46

Oh grumpy that's so awful 😔 Poor girl and her family & friends.

I'm sitting in a cafe reading a magazine, on my own with a cuppa & a scone. Stocked up on vitamins for me and OH and will head home shortly and try to have a disco nap before picking DS up at 3 from the childminder
