Ah SO glad it went well MrsC what a beaut! How did you get on with the maternity jeans?

tigger Were you at Fawsley Hall??

dancing really positive step seeking some counselling x

Great girl power Parsnips sometimes kicking off can have positive results, as it seems in this case!

FX your promo comes in before Keith starts poking out Buzz !

DH is nesting!! He's desperate to do lots of things on our house to do list! I'm just exhausted thinking about it!!

buzzmoon · 02/05/2017 16:44

Ahh mrs cross post!! Looks great!! How bloody exciting! :) are you measuring 12+3? :)

Penguin27 · 02/05/2017 17:01

So glad everything went well today MrsC! You can see your baby's little hand, love it!!

They are beautiful pictures tigger, you have a photographer's eye.

Dancing Flowers speaking to the EPU about some counselling is a positive step. I hope they're able to help you get some closure.

No symptoms or anything exciting to report here... I joined an informal women's support group at work and announced that I'm ttc without even thinking about it Confused whoops!

MrsC2017 · 02/05/2017 17:26

Hi girls, thanks for all the support, you're all so lovely x we told DS, after not believing us he is now very excited although it did lead to an impromptu 'how did the baby get in there' questioning over dinner! Anyway after reviewing the egg and the seed scenario several times he drew his own conclusions and was happy enough! DH went bright red and just kept eating😂!
dancing that sounds like such a positive move, you've been through alot and I hope they can help you through, the waiting game is just horrible and unfair, sending you love xx
penguin that sounds lovely, wish my work had one, hopefully they'll be supportive of your ttc too!
buzz yep measuring 12+3 on the nose! The consultant had trouble seeing the nuchal fold and had me coughing and jiggling my belly and eventually baby did a bellyflop of sorts so he said he still didn't have a perfect view but was happy enough!
hb the jeans are great but I'm not bumpy enough yet for them, clearly I need in-between jeans, aka leggings which I wish I could wear to work!

HeyJupiter · 02/05/2017 17:43

Ohh MrsC the hugest of huge congratulations. What a beautiful little thing - I’m welling up for you. I’m so relieved and happy that today has gone so well. How are you both feeling?

buzzmoon · 02/05/2017 18:30

jupiter have you recovered from your bug?
I'm feeling incredibly nervous about next week are you? I'm just not feeling very pregnant so worrying. I'm sure it will be fine, and I have a feeling this worrying feeling is going to be here for the next 20 years don't you! Actually my mum still worries about me now so probably forever! I really want to take the whole day off work but my boss is on leave next week so probably should abandon the office 😂

Got fajitas for dinner 😋 can't wait for DP to get home!

hb and mrs I'm a bit sad as my jeans are feeling a bit tight, not sure if they've shrunk in the wash as DP did the washing last week Hmm or I'm getting fat! Maybe time to invest! Or just wear leggings!

HeyJupiter · 02/05/2017 18:36

buzz, firstly ditto on the fajitas!! Waiting for DH to get home too but he's being slow Grin I'm anxious too lovely but we'll be okay. Remember I had no symptoms last week and baby was still fine at the scan. The placenta is definitely starting to take over so you will feel more normal. What time is your scan? Mine is at 2:50 on Friday next week x

buzzmoon · 02/05/2017 18:45

How strange! Love fajitas! Found an avocado at the back of the fridge as well! So happy 😂 yeah I'm sure we'll be fine! Just irrational fear! Mines next Tuesday at 9am! :)

JB1983 · 02/05/2017 19:13

MrsC aww your scan pic is perfect, so glad everything went well. I look forward to seeing both baby Jupiter and baby buzz next week too.

Also buzz that's great news that the promotion, fx it's put in place before you start showing.

Sorry you had a rubbish day at work parsnips, however if it has let you make your feelings clear then I'm sure it done some good in the end.

tigger those pictures are stunning. Glad you are having a lovely time.

I just feel normal jupiter, I can't decide when to test again. Will be 12DPO and AF due date tomorrow.

How cute is your DH nesting Hb, take advantage of it and keep giving him jobs to do!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/05/2017 19:44

MrsC so happy for you! That's an actual baby! Congrats x

Buzz and Jupiter so excited for your scans next week! I'm counting the days till my harmony test on the 16th, combined bloods on the 19th and 12wk scan on the 26th.

Mummy how are you feeling? The TWW is so bloody slow isn't it x

JB have you got another FRER? I'm so sure you are upduffed Grin

Tigger such beautiful bluebell woods. Glad you are feeling ok either way. The cycle I had sort of stopped hoping / guessing in the TWW was ironically the one that worked.

Dancing I hope the EPU can give you some answers. Can they check whether you ovulated?

Buzz massive fx for promotion ASAP!.. at least if you are in the process and they find out they will face a hard time NOT promoting a newly pregnant woman... I'm also gonna be trying to hide things as late as possible.. however on this trip I've been wondering if I should tell just my line manager so he understands the training requirements for my new direct report will have to be fast tracked... but I don't want him to tell our big bosses until 20/25 weeks .. I think I can trust him (he knows they are sexist Americans) but I am not sure. I think he would appreciate me being upfront as it affects his team the most.

Parsnips bloody well done for saying something! It sounds like your boss does value you and wants you to be happy working there.

Currently enjoying my last few hours by the hotel pool before I have to get a taxi across LA to a cocktail reception 🙈 then go to the airport to catch my midnight flight to NY! I fly home on Friday night, can't wait to be home now. Doubt I'll sleep on the plane tonight, urgh.

DancingUnicorn · 02/05/2017 20:01

Mrsc :D lovely pic.

Buzz agreed, it'd be so illegal for them to not go ahead with it at this point, surely?!

Jb I reckon you'd get a decent line tomorrow......

Jupiter all I know is that they can refer me. Apparently the lady will contact me directly.

Grumpy Don't think there's much the EPU can do physically. If surgery is cd1, I'm only cd30, so still got the best part of a fortnight before they'd even consider doing any tests/scans. Plus, I know I still had hcg in my system for over 3 weeks, so I almost certainly didn't ov till after that.

So, overheard at work today: 'I just don't want to be pregnant anymore'. Think I made it out of eye/ear shot before bursting into tears. (Not someone who knows and wasn't directed at me, but still a kick in the teeth!)

Mummyme87 · 02/05/2017 20:04

Lovely scan picture mrsc glad all is well

grumpy I'm Impatiently waiting. Hate the tww

Had loads and loads of ewcm.. well not as stretchy as ewcm but very similar, loads and loads earlier.... whatever that means

buzzmoon · 02/05/2017 21:12

dancing you're really going through it with the shit comments! People are just insensitive. You're so strong I'd be in pieces! Sending ❤️

DancingUnicorn · 02/05/2017 21:30

Thanks Buzz. It's not really her fault - she certainly wasn't intending to be insensitive! I'm hoping soon I'll be able to empathise more with how she feels. And I'm not that strong. I was crying in the loos for at least 20 mins! :S

Mummy really hoping the tww flies by for you. Hoping the bonus ewcm is a good sign for you.

Seven0fNine · 02/05/2017 21:46

Aww dancing bless you my love xxx you are one amazing lady - we will get you through xxx

Omg MrsC what a beautiful picture. It's mad isn't it that just 12 weeks in its like less prawn more actual baby!

Parsnips sounds like speaking up was the right thing to do. Good on you girl xx

My day has been ok but feeling quite stressed after school. The head is having to make big cuts because of the budget and is reorganising the whole staff... I'm so worried because I'm supposed to be going up to 3 days next year but now it's possible that won't happen and they may cut my subject entirely as it's always one of the first to go. On the other hand I could be over reacting and it's not going to affect me at all...but I just won't know for now.
Anxiety is high tonight... Having wine to compensate 😂

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/05/2017 21:48

Ahh seven I miss wine sooo much 😭

otters2017 · 02/05/2017 23:36

Gosh you're a chatty bunch! So much to catch up on. It's day 29 here and no AF so fingers firmly crossed. I looked for my tests this morning and realized I didn't pack them!! Argh! I set them aside but obviously didn't put them in the suitcase. Luckily I packed 2 boxes of pregnancy tests so have 3 tests in total. Question is when to test? No symptoms of anything so will try to wait till end of week if possible. Otherwise having a great time in Italy. It's DH's birthday today so we had a lovely meal at a posh restaurant. Definitely feel calmer and more relaxed but difficult as it's nearing the end of the 2WW.

grumpy your pics look amazing. Hope you're having a great time. Have a good trip back, maybe you can catch a few hours sleep?

parsnips that sounds really stressful but sounds like you've worked it out with your boss. His attitude seems positive.

Exciting news about your promotion buzz good luck!

tigger your photos are stunning. Love the fox! Glad you've calmed down and had a relaxing time away.

mrsc great scan pic, glad it went well!

dancing glad you got a referral. Hope it will help and sorry about the insensitive remark! It's such a difficult time and hearing comments like that makes it much harder. Stay strong ❤

jb are you testing again tomorrow? I'm sure there will be a strong line!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/05/2017 04:41

Girls I think I might have a squinter. AF due tomorrow so did a test this morning and I think there's a very faint line there. Hard to see on pictures but I can see it in real life. Might explain the tears at work?!

The tests here are useless and not sensitive so reckon I'll need to wait a few days to be sure. What do you think?

I know clearblue are not the best so I'm not getting hopes up yet.

Ahhh parsnips I clearly see it! So excited for you! Def test again in 2 days but ... eek!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/05/2017 05:29

Currently waiting in the worst airport terminal EVER. See my insta.. omg it's so depressing and flight doesn't leave for another 2.5 hours

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/05/2017 05:45

Eek that is a depressing terminal! Hope the fl get home goes well! California looked amazing!

If this is my BFP I couldn't have timed it any better 🙈 I've got an away day with work with the entire international employment team in two weeks including big boozy dinner and we're visiting both sets of parents and a few friends for wine filled catch ups! Well done me!

OP posts:
TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/05/2017 05:49

Ahh! Is there someone in the team you can trust to swap glasses with you / get you mocktails? I had a black tie event the evening of the day I got my BFP! I got through it by initially ordering a very very diluted Campari soda then sipping my wine at dinner very rarely so it never got refilled.. not sure if that would be super obvious in your case?! Failsafe is to fake a dentist appointment a few days before - then come in to work and loudly tell everyone they put you on metronidazole for a wisdom tooth infection (the only antibiotic that actually reacts really badly with alcohol - like you puke). Then hey presto you can't drink!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/05/2017 06:02

Ah genius idea! I miss get follow your tip of heavily diluted slowly drank wine. Must not get ahead of myself now for a few days.

OP posts:
HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/05/2017 06:02

*might not miss get!

Seven0fNine · 03/05/2017 06:42

Oooh parsnips that looks promising too. Plenty of squinter action on here over the past few days!! Love it!!! I'm sure parsnips if you have a glass in your hands then no one will question you xx
