Hi everyone.
I'm a bit of a board lurker but hoping to join as I find it super comforting having people going through same thing. And you all seem super supportive and lovely! Looking forward to hearing good stories from you all!
I find it hard chatting to friends who conceived easily (I presume) or even my other half who doesn't get the symptom spotting you end up doing over everything! (Let's not get started on secret poas when he's telling me to chill)

Age: 36
TTC: baby nbr 1
Cycle: 6
Periods: irregular as hell after coming off pill!?

weasledee · 08/06/2017 00:16

So sorry lisara :( x

RhiBee29 · 08/06/2017 06:39

Bfn @ 14dpo. Still no AF but last cycle was 34 days and I'm on cd28. Think I ovulated later that Ovia predicted so should have dtd more. Plan for next cycle...more dtd and OPK's from AF finishing to AF starting again if necessary!

katiegd · 08/06/2017 08:14

@lisara79 sorry to hear it's looking like a chemical, but glad to hear you're staying positive about it.

@Jords0105 Glad to hear you're feeling better. I thought OPKs always showed a faint line as your body always has some LH there, but I am fairly new to them so not an expert.

@RhiBee29 Fx for you

@StripeyDungarees Welcome - can identify with everything you've said!

katiegd · 08/06/2017 08:17

@Shredtheevidence sorry to hear it's a hard week. I'm with you on that - AF and low mood. Hoping it'll pick up soon.

@Viletta good idea making plans for 2ww. I've just realised I will be visiting my pregnant sister during mine (sort of the worst time - 5 days before AF due). Need to mentally prepare for that one...

katiegd · 08/06/2017 08:21

As for me, been having a pretty low week but hoping it's just hormonal and I'll pick up soon. Feeling quite positive about fw next week. The last few cycles it's been really badly timed with either me or OH being away/busy/ill, but it's looking good so far for this cycle.

Viletta · 08/06/2017 15:27

Also planning to DTD more this cycle.. I don't do opk but track CM and checking my generic app. I think we might be missing my ov.. will try to DTD every other day from the end of af till I miss it:)

RhiBee29 · 08/06/2017 18:21

@Viletta I track cm and use Ovia app. I read this week that ewcm is a sign ovulation is about to happen not that it is happening. Not sure if you knew that I didn't, I thought ewcm meant you were ovulating.

littlemimosa · 08/06/2017 19:51

Gosh so much to catch up on.
Sorry I've been awol. Been having internet issues.

Lisara I'm so sorry for your chemical lovely. But I'm really glad to hear you're taking positives from it. I think that's all you can do, onwards and upwards Smile

Jords good luck. I hope that line means something!

Rhi great point you make about ewcm. I've always wondered how soon after it makes an appearance we actually ovulate. To answer your question from last week. I do use opks but only to confirm ov. I've always just listened to my body's signs really. Ov pain, ewcm and feeling frisky! I did temp one cycle which confirmed I've ovulated but I found it frustrating. Maybe I should do another month soon.

Viletta do you get those other ov signs as well as ewcm? Pain and horny feeling lol?

littlemimosa · 08/06/2017 19:52

Hello Stripey and katie and welcome.

Sarah2209 · 08/06/2017 20:57

Oh Lisara - so sorry to hear your news... well done for keeping positive and for seeing the fantastic news that you did conceive as good news. As you know we've been trying on and off for 5 years and I never once got pregnant. Have done so twice this year - 1 miscarriage and 1 chemical and whilst it was sad and an emotional rollercoaster- I too am so pleased we managed to conceive. It can happen - just needs to be the right sticky bean!

lisara79 · 08/06/2017 21:20

Hello all and welcome Newbies! Sarah... I think conceiving is positive... it's half of the battle! Rhi and Mimosa... with regards to ewcm... this month, the month we conceived, we dtd 3 times.. . the 3 days that I got ewcm which turned out to be the 3 days before I ovulate. Confirmed by temps as no fully positive opk. Thanks for your support ladies... I am in pain and sad but I'm ok and looking forward to going again!

littlemimosa · 08/06/2017 23:22

Oh Lisara, feel the sadness as much as you need to. It's important to grieve the loss how ever far along you were.
That's very interesting re ovulation being three days after the start of ewcm. I've been assuming I've missed mine these last two months but perhaps I need to start paying closer attention and do some temping again.

Sarah, how are you honey? Hope you're feeling better after your brutal run in with a vaginal probe??

Melodypond17 · 09/06/2017 07:56

10dpo and not feeling a lot of symptoms.

Not sure if that's good or bad - I thought I had so many last month and then got a bfn so I'm trying not to read too much into anything.

Not sure whether to test on Sunday or hold out a little longer.

Anyone else due to test soon? xx

Viletta · 09/06/2017 08:02

@RhiBee29 I've also just learnt that ewcm means that ov about to start and might actually be the next day or the day after. I think we might have been missing it as we are so exhausted with DTD that normally stop after what I thought was ov. I don't have any other signs, only egcm and also not much of it...

All my hormone tests came back and they are all looking great! Such a relief.. waiting for DH test result which would be ready in about 10 days 🤞🏻

Hope everyone is feeling positive!

Viletta · 09/06/2017 08:07

@katiegd some pagan superstitions say that if you want to get pregnant you should share a meal with a pregnant lady preferably cooked by her. Think of that when visiting your sister :)

Viletta · 09/06/2017 08:17

Downloaded Ovia.. i like it! It shows much more scientific info.. here is a comparison of apps I'm using. Ovia, Life and Cycles. we normally try to cover fertility window but it varies a lot between the apps

@Viletta hmm I will have to bear that in mind! Hmm

Sarah2209 · 09/06/2017 13:25

Lisara - have a little grieve, it's natural and good to clear your head.

With you all on the frustration of trying to get pregnant! Jords did you re-test?

Welcome StripeyDungarees...

Littlemimosa - I'm feeling much better physically but emotionally I'm frazzled... CD19 and still no temperature increase - not sure I have ovulated Hmm some say Clomid can cause you to ovulate late - I've had ewcm since CD 5!!! Today I had a huge amount so DTD just before DH left for work just in case.... I usually get ewcm 4-5 days before I ovulate, the day I do and then it turns cloudy the day after - just to help with the query on ewcm!

So I'm totally confused and will be very frustrated if Clomid has actually stopped me ovulating Angry

Aaarrgggh why is getting pregnant so hard for some of us....

Fx to all of you in the tww still x

RhiBee29 · 09/06/2017 13:42

@Viletta I like Ovia and it's since synced with Period Tracker which I also use.

Ok...AF due yesterday about 6.30 last night I had brown discharge, popped a pad on but nothing further, not even on wiping, if anything it's like ewcm?! Today my boobs are so painful, hurts walking upstairs. I've had sore nipples for about a week. I didn't POAS today's as got a bfn yesterday and thought AF was imminent. CD 29. What's going on?!

Melodypond17 · 09/06/2017 13:43

Fingers crossed for you @RhiBee29 - sounds promising x

Sarah2209 · 09/06/2017 14:06

Hope it's a good sign RhiBee x

lisara79 · 09/06/2017 18:11

oh dear god... why did no-one tell me this hurt quite so much...? I didn't realise a cp/em would be so painful... nearly in hospital this morning... fainted and sick... luckily I have an amazing mum who bought me great painkillers as I seem to be contracting... is this normal?

Lisara sorry to hear it's a bad one - I've had 3 early mc/ chemicals all at just under 6 weeks. With the first I passed out ended up in hospital on gas and air. Second was just like a normal period and 3rd a heavy period. I was surprised how brutal it was the first time whereas second time I just went to work etc as usual.

I did find the physical pain passed quickly so hopefully it will for you too xx
