It's weird congratulating and being happy about af isn't it! 😆 in all honest if I got a bfp this morning instead I'd have ditched all job and house hopes and been over the moon! It's just honestly not sensible and it's nice not to have the heartbreak for a couple of months x

lisara79 · 21/05/2017 12:09

lol Plain! congratulations on AF! Job and house here you come!

Well if anyone is fed up of af coming over every month you can recommend our place. We have excellent trip advisor ratings and I have fancy CSP's and a variety of mooncups

lisara79 · 21/05/2017 15:09

lol plain... that's brilliant... I'll suggest mine redirects to you!

hi everyone sorry I haven't been around much. I'm having a month off so nothing to say really.

Sarah, any news?

Purple & weasel congratulations!!!! So great to see some bfps on this thread.

weasledee · 21/05/2017 22:34

Thanks little!
And yes I was thinking of Sarah too....

RhiBee29 · 22/05/2017 07:15

Got up still 1/2 asleep and forgot to POAS! Do I have to use fmu for OPK's?

lisara79 · 22/05/2017 08:00

no Rhi.... it can vary from person to person but apparently about 2pm might be best time to test.... I was testing twice a day... x

See if you can wait as long as possible before your next wee. It might just give you a fainter line. OR be insane and wait till tomorrow

Sarah2209 · 22/05/2017 08:27

Hi LittleMimosa and Weasledee - thanks for thinking of me. Sorry been feeling a bit low - AF started yesterday, but I'd got my hopes up with the faulty white line on the Frer! Silly me..... oh well, can start the Clomid this next cycle and pray that may help. Hope you all had good weekends. X

weasledee · 22/05/2017 09:12

Oh Sarah, gutted for you! I too thought that line must have been a good sign, I'd never seen that before!
Stay around and keep us updated x

Sarah2209 · 22/05/2017 09:26

Thanks Weasledee - will do Smile

plaintomatopasta · 22/05/2017 10:11

So sorry @Sarah2209 I tried to tempt af away from everyone (and she's seriously hitting me hard! Actual doubled over in pain) but hopefully the chlomid will help and this is your last visit for a couple of years.

This is not ttc related but still wondering if people want to weigh in on some moral dilemmas in having. Mainly because you all know I have a new job and you won't all jump on me as being a potentially bad person:

1: I'm currently a supply teacher at a failing school that are losing lots of staff. If I tell them I have a new job they'll stop giving me work. Should I tell them?

2: my school wants to do an induction with me (I've been here ages) because the inspectors noticed no one had had an induction to the school! But I'm not staying so should I tell them not to do this?

3: my school have paid me for last month... even though I didn't work because it was holidays and my DC was ill. I didn't put in a timesheet they just went ahead and paid me. What did I do?

The backstory to 3 is complicated though... I have worked here all year so far and only been paid one month... so technically this is backpay for the extra work I have done and not been paid for... the school also mess me around constantly, treat me unfairly etc.

Sarah2209 · 22/05/2017 10:36

Thanks Plain...

What's your notice period? You don't have to tell them anything until your notice period is due... so from what you've said about how they've treated you, go along with the induction, say nothing until you have to. If you don't have a notice period - leave it until a week before so the most you lose is one week. Does that sound fair? X

hopingforabfp · 22/05/2017 11:25

8 dpo today. Yesterday was very bloated & looked pregnant. Had cramps on and off throughout the day and quite painful. Also TMI but had some diarrhea last night at around 9pm but nothing since. Felt nauseous when it happened too but didn't vomit.

lisara79 · 22/05/2017 12:13

Plain... I assume if you are a supply teacher then you are not a permanent member of staff and only have to give a weeks notice... just do that... if they had loyalty to you, you'd be permanent! I agree with Sarah, do the induction and just tell them when you have to. Regarding 3, always difficult... not sure but if they owe you money, they owe you money and should have paid. it... I'd work out what they owe you so that of there is any problem, you have the evidence to show that it's yours... are you a member of one of the unions? I'd speak to your union rep.... if not, join quick... you'll be protected if an issue occurs - it's very difficult to fight any unfairness without union backing at the moment (I'm a union rep and it's difficult enough with the support and financial backing!).

hopingforabfp - sounds promising.... cramping that early and upset tummys can be a sign that something is happening. Fx for you.

Lisara - great advice. Hope your doing ok.

hopingforabfp · 22/05/2017 12:50

sarah do you think so? I wasn't sure if it was related but I never have diarrhoea I'm more likely to be sick if anything but it was strange and only the once so couldn't be a bug and I didn't eat anything different than usual either. How are you doing?x

Sarah2209 · 22/05/2017 13:23

I’m terrible for reading up on every tiny little symptom - as i’ve been trying for so long! And I definitely read up diarrhoea and cramping can be a sign of early pregnancy. I think staying hopeful in the 2WW is important as it puts you in a positive mood and I think that can only help. Really hope its a good sign for you hoping....
Oh well I was really fed up - but I’ve just rang the fertility clinic and I’ve got a date for my scan, to see if the Clomid is working, so I’m trying to turn my emotions to this next month being a positive one. If it works and I release 2/3 eggs then it gives me a much bigger chance of getting my bfp. Fingers crossed anyway.... for all of us trying! Just hope I don’t get any of the side effects and have to stop.... PMA.... Positive Mental Attitude.....Grin

lisara79 · 22/05/2017 13:25

Hi Sarah... I'm doing ok... 6dpo, nothing to report really... we did everything right at the right times... temps rising but too early for symptoms really so just waiting... I'm sure I'll get crazy towards the end of the week... still waiting to start new job but off on holiday next week so excited! how are you doing in general?

OP posts:
Viletta · 22/05/2017 14:09

Hello Ladies, I've had tarot card reading (just for fun, not believing these things) and both times had pregnancy cards! Sounds exciting:) I'm 1-2 days dpo, did all right this month. I am determined not to test early anymore. Only after af is missed! Trying not to think much about the symptoms. last month was terrible with POAS, fault bfp, symptom spotting. No more. #WaitToSee

Sarah2209 · 22/05/2017 14:12

Hey Lisara, oh fingers crossed and a holiday sounds lovely too! Give you a chance to relax and hopefully not symptom watch too much....!! And maybe a nice surprise at the end....!

RhiBee29 · 22/05/2017 21:14

Just had my 2nd reflexology treatment, I honestly feel a lot more positive since the 1st session. I'm up for PMA @Sarah2209 . CM right on track for ov this week. So envious of your holiday @lisara79, I could do with a break. Good luck @hopingforabfp, sounds promising!

lisara79 · 22/05/2017 21:31

Rhi and Sarah... I am feeling a little smug about my holiday... it's been a while since I've travelled anywhere that's not for work!

OP posts:
littlemimosa · 22/05/2017 22:21

Oh Sarah big hugs for you. It's worse somehow when you have a sign or symptom and you get your hopes up. It's hard not to get them up. I do it every time. And every month there is a tiny variation which you convince yourself is a pregnancy sign.
Glad you're thinking to the future and to the clomid. What are the side affects then? Did u have to push to get a prescription for it? What exactly does it do? Sorry for all questions!
Fingers crossed for everyone else this month x
