So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

Jumping aboard if I may. I found these threads enormously helpful when ttc last time around, but worried they made me a tad too ttc obsessed so have so far avoided them this time around! It turns out though that I am more than capable of being a ttc obsessive on my own without resorting to MN! Currently on cycle 6 and starting to despair that it might never happen, so I feel I could really do with the support.

Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
TTC #2 (DS is 16 months)
CD 6
AF due 7 May(ish)

Cariad2017 · 15/04/2017 09:56

Blue - If you're serious about temping then I can't recommend a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler enough. It has loads of charts and some fabulous troubleshooting chapters.

Hugs to all of you going through tough times at the moment, including Sunshine and Bagel, and anyone who has suffered a MC.

Bagel - You mentioned that you'd suffered an ectopic. Did you have one of your fallopian tubes removed? I ask, because (in my case at least) I think it's had a huge impact on my fertility. When ttc DS I got pregnant cycle 2 (a CP), cycle 3 after that (an ectopic), cycle 5 after that (DS), and I'm now on cycle 6 of ttc DC2 and haven't even had a whiff of pregnancy so far this time round.

boatrace30 · 15/04/2017 13:02

mrshandles - in a similar position to you with irregular cycles. DTD three times a week worked with DD. Working less well this time but think other factors are the problem!

MrsHandles · 15/04/2017 19:26

Thanks boat and bluee also sorry to you for AF. My own AF finished today so best get cracking! Grin

pebble82 · 15/04/2017 21:52

Joining in but expect an early exit as AF due 1st may. I generally have 34 day cycles but has been as few as 31 and as many as 39. Have done cb opks this month and got my smiley face today. So assuming I ovulate tomorrow or Monday that's 35/36 day cycle. The instructions tell me I'm most fertile today and tomorrow. We've DTD this afternoon. Plan on dtd tomorrow evening and Monday evening too. Not sure if we should also squeeze in another try tonight or whether we should give the swimmers a chance to develop. I'm getting over excited I think.

Stats are:
TTC#2
Age:34
AF due 1/5
Cycle#7

ttcnovice · 16/04/2017 11:01

juneybean · 16/04/2017 12:38

lookatthemoon · 16/04/2017 12:55

juneybean · 16/04/2017 13:01

MrsHandles · 16/04/2017 13:16

'Eggscellent' news Juney! Will make your holiday all the more enjoyable.

juneybean · 16/04/2017 13:58

Cookie1831 · 16/04/2017 15:07

Perfect timing look
Aw a honeymoon baby is so romantic where are you off to?

juneybean · 16/04/2017 15:14

cookie we're going to Fuerteventura to an adult-only hotel! I cannot wait!

Have any of you got holidays booked?

Cookie1831 · 16/04/2017 15:25

Aw that was me and DH first ever holiday destination together some lovely memories you will have a blast!
No we are just doing a few staycation trips this year to see family and friends but past few days have been craving a proper sunny holiday, this is our first year not going abroad ever as we want to do a few things to the house but am secretly hoping for a lottery win to book somewhere amazing (total unrealistic daydreamer here I admit it) or else might try and do some overtime and book something last minute in the summer (more realistic) I love the canaries!

juneybean · 16/04/2017 15:34

The weather has been a bit crap this weekend hasn't it? It threatens to get sunny then decides to bucket it down instead! I can't wait to feel the warmth on my skin! I'm hoping being on holiday will distract me from the 2ww as well!

lookatthemoon · 16/04/2017 15:55

Same cookie, we also came back from honeymoon pg so hopefully the same happens for you guys Juney! All that sun and relaxation make perfect conditions for the 2wwGrin

pebble82 · 16/04/2017 20:05

DH announces that he's tired and hungry. Tough s* mister. Last fertile day today (+ve opk yesterday). I've shoved a sandwich his way and currently eyeballing him to eat quickly. All month he's on at me to DTD and tonight he chooses to be tired!

Ava1985 · 16/04/2017 20:14

Evening ladies

Happy Easter to those that celebrate🎉

Not much to update here as only cd9 lol so well over a week for anything to start happening! We are all just waiting around at the moment aren't we but soon enough this thread will be full of opks, symptoms spotting, agonising tww and then hopefully lots of Bfps! 😄 X

Cariad2017 · 16/04/2017 21:14

Waves excitedly at all the new passengers.

TLH - if you're not sure when you ovulate, I would definitely recommend giving OPKs a go. They vary widely from super cheap strips to ones you use with Clearblue monitors and cost a small fortune (and everything in between), but they basically all do the same job, which is to help you predict the most fertile part of your cycle.

Loving the positivity on this thread, and particularly the factoid about Easter being a fertility festival. I found out that I was pregnant with DC1 on Easter Sunday 2 years ago!

SSF8 · 16/04/2017 21:24

Hi. I'm new to this site, but thought I'd just drop a little message.
It's nice to see other people all in the same situation. (Well not nice, but you know what I mean)
I haven't really told anyone that we are TTC because I don't want to disappoint anyone if it doesn't happen quickly.
In on Day 12 now of cycle 8 TTC.
Ovulated day 10-11 (I think) only managed to BD on days 7 and 11 so not holding out much hope this month!
And the TTW begins!
Good luck everyone xxx
