So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

A bit annoyed at myself. Af due in 5 days, but I caved in an did a test - BFN - of course it was. Now I feel down, I should've waited until af day. I know it may still be positive, but I've lost a bit of hope for this cycle now. This is why you should wait until af due to do the test.

Joeybee, I think we have similar cycles, I have 5-6 days before AF as well and go too far with symptoms spotting. I had bfn on a boots test yesterday. Do not get yourself stressed, there are lots of people who have bfn even with a delay and it turns out positive after all. I know we all hope to see a faint line days before AF but this just doesn't happen to that often. There is still hope and if not, next cycle will be the one!

Sorry for the intimate questions, but how ofter you DPD? I was aiming for every day within fertile window but sometimes it was every other day and even every two days.. feel like I need more? I am only checking CM for Ov prediction though..

joeybee and viletta I'm the same as you both af due in 5 days 6th May and I've tested twice 1 was definitely negative 2 days ago but I've just done one this morning and I'm trying to convince myself there's a line but I'm not sure that there is, i think i might be imagining it! And now I've made it worse for myself because I'm thinking there might be a chance so if af turns up I'll be double disappointed! I always start spotting 2/3 days before af so I should know by wed/thurs for definite. The wait is just so frustrating!

viletta last cycle I dtd every day in fertile window but didn't get me pregnant! When I got pregnant with DS I did it every other day til I got a positive opk then I did it day of positive opk and day after. I'm going to try that this cycle as it was a bit of a dtd-Athon last month and I have read that sperm is better quality if you dtd every day as has time to replenish. We will see how I fare tho as I get so impatient and feel like I should be dtd all the time to maximise my chances!

Cd10 today no sign of fertile cm, cervix still hard and closed and temp remaining stable. Should ovulate on Friday/Saturday so this week is the week! Have been v dehydrated lately I really don't drink enough. Know I need to increase my water intake as can effect cm. going to try v hard to drink more as I get awful headaches from not drinking enough too!

That should say better quality if you dtd every other day

viletta we dtd every other day until I get a positive opk and then dtd every day if possible for the next 2/3 days, dh is reluctant to dtd every day because he says he need time for swimmers to recover which fits in with what you were saying wantto.

I'm out! Testing for PCOS starts now and we won't get another chance until August to ttc.

Morning all, I've not been around for a while. We've all been ill and I've had tonsillitis for about a month!
Anyway, I'm 11dpo and starting to get signs of af being on the way, I did do a test this morning and bfn :-( maybe just to early but probably not.

joeybee don't give up hope! more of a chance of a correct result from about 12dpo onwards I believe, something to do with build up from hcg produced from implantation and how that can be a couple days longer..? I seem to remember anyway!

mrsb sorry to hear you've been unwell. That happened to me and dh last month, we basically couldn't try because of various illness doing the rounds !

I'm not feeling hopeful about this month today. Only 2/3dpo but have all the usual symptoms I get in this point of my cycle leading up to af. Sore boobs, hot and restless and feeling a bit blah!

Congratulations pebble!! With DS I also lay down after every dtd but haven't been doing it as much this time as I presumed it was nonsense. But now I'm thinking those old wives might have been on to something ...

Sorry to hear that waitingon hope you get some answers and that August will be a lucky one for you. What is the test for PCOS is it a scan or bloods?

How is everyone? I may have spent most of yesterday hungover and I'm ashamed to say so! I have such irrational thoughts about drinking whilst TTC and now I feel awful.

No idea how many dpo I am now!

I'mbreaking don't be too hard on yourself, I know all the advice is to cut down on alcohol to help with conception BUT you might have already conceived at this point and in that case the bean does not even share your blood supply till a few weeks later, so try not to worry too much. Fx for you for a bfp, when are you due to test?

I'm due to test in 8 days! Or so says Ovia... I really think it'll be a lot later than that.

I don't drink very often, but Saturday was such a heavy day/night I'm really appalled at myself! Still feel completely rotten today!

Honestly try not to beat yourself up about it. It's just the hangover making you feel so bad, and you said yourself you don't drink very often so you're probably less tolerant and feeling worse for it. You'll feel much better in a couple days and then fx not long after that you'll get your bfp

maybe they'll take bloods hopefully this week as they said has to be during period and then arrange scan after that.

waitingon I hope you get some good results and if pcos then the right treatment can make the world of difference x

I worry about dh drinking (I don't drink at all as an allergic :( ). He's cut down and only has a few drinks maybe once a month sometimes twice but it still worries me!
He's on tons of supplements though so hopefully that cancels out the drink !
