So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

Awww ava that's so frustrating!!! There's definitely still a chance of catching ovulation though if he's back tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you

FW starts in 2 days and I have gone and sprained my knee. Dr said I had to take some anti-inflammatory medicine to reduce swelling and pain. Happily took my box of Diclofenac Sodium home to read - 'taking this medicine will reduce the chances of conception!!!!' Fuming!

DH has said I should take them as I need to focus on my own health first. Not happy about it though!!

So my chances of May are pretty minuscule! Still going to make the most of my fertile window anyway I think.

Thanks for the pick up everyone 😰 I'm just feeling so hopeless about this month now. If I get anotner positive opk tomorrow then I will be absolutely made up and will have hope but if the surge has gone tonight and is back to neg tomorrow I just know I will be on a downer ESP as we can't Dtd till tomorrow night.

Just to add to it all we have a wedding abroad booked for next year so we have to carefully consider when we can ttc with regards to flying when preg and insurance etc. So could end up having to wait for few months now 😰 Just so sad and frustrated!!

This is my last month ttc as i have a holiday in august and if i don't fall pregnant this time I'll be waiting till i come home to start again. Xx

Dh been away since Sunday evening so we haven't Dtd at all on fw. And this is a regular thing, no wonder I'm not getting pg this time round! I can both laugh and cry at that sentence!

If I get a pos opk tomorrow when will I likely ov? How long do the swimmers take to reach the egg?! Must do more research on this ! X

I read recently they can reach egg in as little as 45 mins and up to 12 hours!!

I've just done OPK and the was the squintiest of faint lines, but according to Ovia I'm most fertile tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my 31st birthday, now that would be a great birthday present! Still FX for my first ever BFP...please!

I think this time I am going to use the OPKs in my drawer. After last month just trying to DTD every other day and the previous 2 cycles being 'I don't have contraception, it must be super easy now!' I guess it's not all that easy...

Can I just ask..
I'm going out this weekend for the first time in forever (2+years) it's an evening event and I was planning to drink quite a bit.. I'll be 5dpo.

Will drinking until I can't drink any more damage my chances of conceiving?

sally when i conceived dd it was after 2 nights out where i was more drunk than i had ever been in my life.. oops 🙈 xx

Sally - I conceived DS on honeymoon and there was lots of wine! I think at 5dpo even if you have conceived it hasn't implanted yet and so your blood supply isn't reaching anything yet ...

Morning ladies can someone tell me if this is this starting to look hopeful?
This is my first month charting bbt..positive opk on Wednesday afternoon.. think i ovulated yesterday as i actually got a pain on my left ovary..its the first time ive felt it!
And temp starting to rise after yesterdays dip? Im clueless.

Hi bluee. Definitely looks hopeful to me. My app won't confirm ovulation until three days of elevated temps, but looks highly likely!

sally my mantra is wine until you see the line 😂 I've never been a big drinker and of course stopped once I've had my Bfps in the past but I don't deny myself before then! But then like I said I only really have the odd glass. I did get hammered a few days before I found out about dd though and she came a a surprise 🙈

Well im feeling pretty darn rubbish today now. Just done another opk and the line is dark but def negative this morn 😫 Last positive was about 9pm last night. Dh home today but it's too late isn't it? 😰 Will still Dtd and stay on the thread to see how you all get on and update you on what the outcome is. His swimmers need to be super fast or a miracle needs to happen 😰 I usually feel ov and felt cranky last night but hy could have been down to feeling rubbish. If I have the usual ov cramps today or tomorrow then maybe I will be in with a chance. Who knows.

Im about 7dpo today I think, and still feel like this wasn't our month and af will appear. Only possible imagined symptom was dizziness when I stood up earlier. I do have a really painful sore stomach but at the top rather than bottom so don't think that's anything pregnancy related.

ava hope you are ok. I'm on the same boat as you. Pretty sure I O'd at 5am this morning and I won't be home until 5pm. Haven't DTD since late Tuesday night. I ended up shouting at DH too so it's not looking hopeful for me either. X

Ava - I had a similar thing when I O'd last week (DH luckily flew in the day I got pos OPK). From my frantic *internet research (so I could be wrong about all of this) the OPK picks up the LH surge before the egg is released. If the surge was last night, the egg comes 12 - 36 hours after that. So even if it is worst case scenario, and egg was released this morning - it is still good for another 12 - 24 hours. So you are still in with a shot. Hopefully the egg hasn't even been released yet! That's why SMEP tells you to dtd both days after pos OPK and then skip a day and once more! Same thing happened to me in Jan (DH flew in morn of Pos OPK) and we literally had one shot and actually conceived that month (was chem tho). Keep positive!
