So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

I see something, but would do another test for verification.

I'm old, 36, and trying not to worry. A couple of years ago Husband said he had changed his mind and said he didn't want kids (I'd come off the pill/taken the vitamins/tracked my ovulation on an app) breaking my heart in the process but then out of the blue came home last night and said we should start trying so I'm one attempt in now!

Realise we are probably on the first step of a long road but just wanted to connect with some others on a baby making journey so hi!

Not sure what all the other acronyms you are all using mean, sorry.

No more testing until tomorrow - this is only 11dpo so anything other than FMU will be a waste.

Stupidly the "FRER" I bought yesterday turned out to not be a FRER but just a normal First Response test (Rapid Result) and I've left it at home! So I might test when I get in from work or hopefully just wait until the morning (who am I kidding!!?)

Hi to LittleManc 36 isn't that old. I've got many friends who had first babies in their 40s so don't worry yet.

I have definite ov related cramps today, same as period pain for me. I done an opk first thing and it was neg but just had a load of ewcm so did another and it's blatantly positive!! ?? Darkest positive yet infact! Do I dare to restore my hope?! Will upload pics to show. What would it be positive last night, beg this morn and then positive 3 hours later ?

@LittleManc welcome! You're definitely not old I too have plenty of friends in their 40's successfully having babies and fairly easily so try not to worry!

CD11 here and due to ovulate tomorrow I think. Had some EWCM this morning so looking positive. DTD late last night despite DH being shattered from traveling with work, not sure I will convince him to again tonight as well as tomorrow so might just leave it tonight and focus on tomorrow.

If af does turn up this cycle then I might try doing BBT next cycle and see how I get on.

Anyone shed any light as to why I have a pattern like this?! And I have ov pain (pre ov pain?) so bad today! X

I don't know if it's just the light or that the 27th tests have faded but the only positive one is the 28th at 10.30 from what I can see. Mine also go up and down in darkness and thickness throughout the month.

Maybe I haven't missed my surge after all! Why would I get period like cramps the day I have the positive though? Can you ovulate the same time as having a positive? I'm so dim sometimes! X

I agree - today's is definitely positive. But like you only looking at the one on 27th I'd have taken that as being positive too.

Take it as fate - your body said - woah there, DH isn't ready yet - hold your horses!

My temp didn't dip today like I expected but I was wakeful so I'm still hoping I've ovulated today, will see if my temperature goes up tomorrow!

I am CD23 day 3 or 4 of flashing smiley I can't really remember think I had some EWCM yesterday am not entirely sure haven't DTD since Tuesday either but am hoping for tonight

@Ava1985 I've not done opk's this month only because I can usually tell when I'm ovulating and my cycles are very regular. I usually get ewcm and then the unmistakable ovulation pains the next day.

I'm sure you won't have left it too late by DTD later today especially if you have had a positive opk today too.

Hi littlemanc similar to you I'm 37 and me and dh put off trying for a few years, decided to try Oct last year and now I'm regretting the previous couple of years that we could have tried. But I know plenty of women who are older before they started trying and got pregnant so there's a good chance for us too!

Ava today's definitely looks positive. The time of day can also affect the result, I think the guide is to test at the same time each day to get more consistent results. I've had no evidence of that working for me though! 😂

ava Opks have to be equal to or darker than the control to be postive and i can see why you are confused because the 27th is equal to the control 🤔
But least the 28th is darker 🖒

@Maybebaby2 oh hi! I'm so glad I'm not alone with the age thing. I actually thought I would have to leave my OH as it was so important to me. Now just trying to be sensible and not panic over all the co flirting advice around alcohol/caffeine/how often to do it and so on! I'm more scared as I always wanted two children so even if the first time happens ok what would it be like trying again in a few years. MUST TRY TO STOP BEING A STRESSHEAD 😂

@Maybebaby2 predictive text seems to have changed online to co flirting in my last message..... just to be clear this is strictly a two person attempt at conception!!! Not sure how that typing mistake happened.

It's really hard to not stress and become a ttc maniac, especially with all the online info that can feel pretty overwhelming. We have to try and not stress but I don't think there's anyone on here who doesn't, so at least we're in good company! And you never know you might be lucky and catch first time! 😀

By the way I'm only 5 dpo but I had a random wave of nausea today... too early to be a sign, probably but still it's got me hoping! I did promise not to symtom spot this cycle! Now I'm resisting the urge to POAS!!

Thanks all. I'm taking it that I'm back in the game after feeling so hopeless yesterday! Even if we aren't successful this month I already feel better knowing we at least has a chance instead of being out before we even started! We have Dtd once now (sorry if tmi) and will again tonight and tomorrow and the next day .. Haven't Dtd at all leading up to the positive opk so not sure if we've left it too late but guess I'll know on about 2 weeks time 🙈

Emz has great that your cycles are so regular! Makes planning much easier and saves a ton of money and guess work on opks! X

Haha Waiting it's so tempting isn't it! Even though we know it's too early to test we still do. I'm really going to try and hold off till at least Monday then I'll probably poas every day!
