So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

20 minutes Ginger? That seems like a long wait! Maybe next time get some ICs (internet cheapies) where you wait 10 mins or less. For now, is there somewhere you could hide the OPK? So you test, hide it, then pop back 20 mins later? Or can you put it flat in your handbag? (Hope you don't have a mulberry handbag !).

I'm sorry about the AF delay. That's the worst as you dare get your hopes up.

Waiting - we do it every day of a positive OPK so usually two days. Sperm meets egg plan suggests doing it every second day up until positive OPK and then doing it everyday.

Haha yep Bluee one more thing to obsess about! 😂 I'm already looking back over photos of all my opks can definitely see a difference in control line, it's probably because they are the cheapies! 😂

SMEP plan says to dtd every other day until positive opk. Then 3 days in a row (first day bring the day of positive opk), miss a day then once more.

A positive opk is not the day of ovulation, it's 1-3 days before (usually 24-48 hours).

OPKs can it be it be done if your irregular or PCOS??.... I'm tempted but feel. It might cause more heartache... still no period this is so odd!! When I came off the pill last time AF came within a couple of weeks... I'd been on the pill longer too! So frustrated..... grrrr

Hmmm. think I may be out for this month

I'd been thinking my 'fertile window' was 16th to 22nd (Ovulating on 21st) and we'd dtd on 16th, 17th and 19...was feeling really happy with our progress so far....then I realise my app was based on a 26 day cycle, whereas I'm more like 28 days. So probs the first two dtd's were pointless.

Also can't dtd for the next few days while in fertile window as DH is too sore....poor thing, but SO annoying as I feel I've wasted a month

Joey don't be disheartened some sperm can live up to 5 days inside!

Maybe I hadn't thought about saving it up for later - thanks! Might be a bit gross carrying it around all day but could be a plan if needs be!

Thanks Cinnamon - yep +2 days was a real bummer. I've been surprisingly chill so far but this one was difficult.
Hiding's a good idea but can't think of anywhere in work toilets. Will look suspicious taking handbag to and from loo. Invest in trousers with really deep pockets, maybe?

I got the OPKs free with thermometer so when they run out I'll look for some that are quicker. Thanks. Can anyone recommend any quick/cheap ones?

Sweet Jesus natural af's after having a baby suck. My pelvic floor is crap and it feels like my insides are going to fall out! Whole area is throbbing, v heavy and awful cramps. Hurry up CD5... going to have to curl up on the sofa today I think!

CBFM wants me to start testing tomorrow on cd9 .....last month I got an early peak on cd14 so hopefully not long to wait ! Bit anxious as still getting the odd twinge from my scar but hopefully that will stop before ovulation day

superhero, the answer for me is yes. I have pcos and am irregular so had avoided opks but gave it a try last month. Got a clear positive that coincided with ewcm and also a temp rise 48hrs later so I'm pretty convinced I ovulated.

However... that was cd30, we still dtd every 2-3days from cd8 as I am too scared that we'll miss it. So opk is more to confirm ovulation than predict it if that makes sense!

Yes definitely helpful thanks @boatrace think we fluked it with our first as I fell pregnant after my 2nd period and after not having had one for 3 months! Feel this baby may take more effort and extra work to conceive as my weight has increased so no doubt my PCOS is back with full vengeance!! It's sucks....

Ps when did you take them? Everyday? I have no idea how long my cycles are they have never been the same!!

Strangely I'm more regular than I've ever been before since having DD, tend to have 35-40day cycles. But no luck in 9months, I think because I have a short luteal phase, which I imagine is pcos related.
It's rubbish!! Especially when all my friends seem to get pregnant after their partners look at them!!

Oh and I've done one a day since around cd12. I've got cheapies from Amazon as I did get through about 20 last month!!

Just read through the thread from the last few days. pebble good point about the opk readings. I decided to test everyday from 14dpo just on the off chance I ov earlier!

Nice to see some of you are now in the fw

I'm cd16 today and still no sign of ov. Ovia says 3 days for fw to start! Might sound thick; but when do I actually ov during this 'fw'? Is it at the end of the 6 days? Will take opks just to see if it all coencides. First time using the app! 😫 Usually get a huge build up of cm around cd19 onwards!

ava yes fertile week indicates days prior to ovulation so should predict ovulation on last day of fertile week

See thats what i don't understand on Ovia. My fertile week starts tomorrow until sat so if it predicts i'll ovulate on the last day (sat) my fertility forecast score doesn't match as it says my highest fertile day is thursday...🤔 confusing.

There is a lady on my team who is pregnant and all she does is moan all day about something pregnancy related. When i was pregnant with dd i never moaned and i had HG for 7.5 months which was relentless. Rant over 😂

@BlueSpottyTiger I use the Flo app which looks very similar. On mine it predicts ovulation 2-3 days before the end of the fertile window, as you can still conceive if you dtd in the day or two after you ovulate.

I'm now officially into the tww! Really hoping for lots of baby dust!

Sigh it is frustrating boatrace I have friends that seem to blink and they are pregnant!

Still no period here..... 35 days since withdrawl bleed I just want my body to decided what it's doing 😐 I still have hope despite bfn that this could be it as when I came off the pill last time I AF came 3 weeks after my withdrawal bleed, I keep feeling like I'm coming on but nothing there!!! Arghhhhhhh!
