So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

How is everyone? I'm now on CD7. Can't wait to get started this month. Going to go full out as my cycle dropped from 32 days to 29. Here's hoping this months ours!

peanutbutteroreo · 19/04/2017 11:19

I'm on CD7 too breakingbad...cycle buddies! I'm gonna start OPKS on Friday I think....but have only just started paying attention to my cycle etc so think it's unlikely I'll be lucky this month.

lookatthemoon · 19/04/2017 11:24

I'm about 2DPO and felt my boob twinge this morning and thought 'ooh'. Which is mad. i can't symptom spot already - I'll drive myself up the wall. Somebody stop me.

ladydolly · 19/04/2017 12:19

I had statutory in my first mat leave, I took 9 months off (it made sense with the cycle of my job). I'm now in a new company but statutory again. I'd like to take longer off but not sure that's possible and I want to come back slightly reduced hours, maybe 32 per week.

Am on CD7 so hopefully next week is the week ... although we agreed to try in May, this is supposed to be a month of me figuring my cycle out but will give it a go anyway!

TriJo · 19/04/2017 13:28

CD14 here and the EWCM has arrived. Did the business last night thanks to well behaved 1 year old going to bed at an appropriate time. All good :)

BlueeSpottyTiger · 19/04/2017 14:18

Im only on cd5 of a 26day cycle ..af finished yesterday, so started using opks at lunch. They are as dark today as they were on cd9 last cycle(ovulated on cd 14).. so thinking i may ovulate slightly earlier this time.

Anyone else due to AF/test on the 11th?

ImBreakingBad · 19/04/2017 14:42

Blue! I'm due to test on the 11th Grin (if I have a 29 day cycle opposed to my usual 32). Willing time to just hurry up. I want to be pregnant!!! I'm so impatient now.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 19/04/2017 16:13

Oh so we are the same again breaking!! Smile
How long have you been ttc for? This is cycle 3 for me and im already losing patience.. i fell pg with dd cycle 3 last time so fx it's the same this time (i know it won't be lol)
Goodluck!!!! 🍀 X

Ava1985 · 19/04/2017 16:36

Hi all!

Hope your all having a good week?

Exciting that some of you have entered the fw! Fingers crossed for you all!

I'm cd12 today and sooo bored of the wait now! Still another 8-14 days before I ovulate going by previous cycles 😫 Boring!

Got the opks here ready to crack out next week, no signs of any cm or anything at all to say ov is on its way!

ttcnovice · 19/04/2017 16:40

CD10 here and day 2 of "high" readings on the CB OPKs. I had thought it was a little early to get the "high" yesterday but have ewcm today so that fits in with the readings. Have DTD every day since AF left so just waiting for a "peak" static smiley now!

Hope this thread turns into a lucky one for some New Year babies!

Timpani · 19/04/2017 18:19

Hi all
AF knocking, will probably be CD1 tomorrow.

Stats:
TTC #3
(DC1 conceived via IVF/ICSI, DC2 conceived naturally when not trying)
Cycle #2
CD0 out of 29 (cos AF not started properly!)

ImBreakingBad · 19/04/2017 18:31

blue we are indeed! We are now in month 4. Although, we had a happy accident last year and that made us decide to start actively trying. I'm the most impatient person on earth, its awful for me to complain when people have been trying a lot longer X

Maybebaby2 · 19/04/2017 18:33

I only get statutory for 39 weeks maternity leave but can take up to 52 weeks with the last 3 months unpaid which is what I plan to do, but will have to see how that pans out!
CD11 got a strong opk line today but not quite positive so think it'll be positive tomorrow.
Didn't manage to do 2 tests. I'd have to take a sample at work and bring home to test later, not sure if that would work and would be too much faffing!
How long does the LH surge last could I really miss it by only testing once a day?

lookatthemoon · 19/04/2017 18:51

I used to always used to pick it up by testing once a day but last month missed it altogether and so tested twice a day this month and got a negative that morn and a positive in the afternoon. I prob would have picked it up the following morn though.

Maybebaby2 · 19/04/2017 19:07

Thanks Lookat I'll see if I pick it up this cycle with just 1 test a day, I did last cycle and I think since I had quite a strong line today that I'm most likely going to get a positive tomorrow.
Actually last cycle I had a strong line the day before but then got a negative the next day, I didn't trust test though because I'd just drank tons of water and sample was crystal clear so I waited an hour and tested again and got the positive!

allumette312 · 19/04/2017 19:35

Hi all,

I'm brand new so forgive me if I get the acronyms wrong! We've finally decided to TTC, and are very excited, it DH is already bored of the baby chat so I thought I'd come here instead ;)

Age 30
CD 10
Cycle no 1

SquashyMummy · 19/04/2017 19:37

Evening ladies, a couple of questions from a newbie -

  • When you're talking about DPO, how do you know? Is that because most people are temping or using OPKs? I don't want to stress myself with them yet so just using Ovia app to track my cycle.
  • Please could someone remind when CM changes? This is first cycle post pill so things bound to still be out of sync but CM looked promising CD 15-17. Now CD 19 and it's all watery again.

Cheers :-)

SquashyMummy · 19/04/2017 19:57

Actually I'm confusing dates with CDs - so looked promising CD 10 to 12, and now CD 14. That would be too early to ovulate surely?

lookatthemoon · 19/04/2017 19:58

Squashy - Yep I only know how many DPO I am because I use OPKs. No real benefit to them if you dtd often enough, I just like to know when O is happening!

Re: Cm - depends on the person I think and it takes a few cycles to be able to track properly. For me, it is usually about 2 days before O that things seem to get 'watery'. The only thing that is really clear is when it is all over as it goes back to creamy really quickly.

lookatthemoon · 19/04/2017 19:59

Cd 14 would be pretty normal if you are on a 28 day cycle or thereabouts!

Maybebaby2 · 19/04/2017 20:08

Hi squashy ov depends on how long your cycle is, so if you have a shorter cycle then you will probably ov earlier. So days 10-14 are not necessarily too early. I usually Ov on CD 11 or 12.
Hi allumette I'm the same my DH is so over talking about ttc! 😂

SquashyMummy · 19/04/2017 20:17

Thanks ladies. I know I just need to wait and see as it's the first month off the pill but can't help speculating! DS was conceived first month off the pill but about CD20 so had assumed it would take a bit longer for things to get going.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 19/04/2017 21:25

Anyone used 'conceive plus' lube ?

I've just ordered some for fertile week.. thought i may aswell... apparently it-

Conceive Plus is the only fertility lubricant to proactively aid your chances of getting pregnant. Its advanced formula contains magnesium and calcium ions, which are essential to prolonging sperm viability and motility.
It also helps with the fertilisation to conception process.

boatrace30 · 19/04/2017 22:29

I haven't but interested to hear answers as I was considering trying it this month. I feel like my growing TTC stress is "inhibiting" my natural lubrication (if you know what I mean) sorry tmi

mammabear4 · 19/04/2017 22:46

Hi guys just checking in, hope everyone's ok! On CD 15 here, ov'd CD 9 or 10 - had a strong postive both days. Bit confused as it says on the Ovia app I can take a pregnancy test in 9 days but AF isn't due til 2nd May - is this because I have an early ovulation perhaps?! Not sure whether to wait until AF is due or follow the app's advice - feels like a v.long wait either way!
