Boggle congrats. Don't worry about not feeling pregnant as I haven't the whole time I've known really!

SummerHopin · 04/05/2017 14:40

Aw Boggle that is amazing! so so chuffed for you.

Sunny1984 · 04/05/2017 15:53

Thank you so much for the warm welcome 😊
Really hoping it brings me some much needed luck!
Huge congrats Boogle, it must have been amazing to see the heart flicker! When will you get another scan? Summer will you book an early scan? Were you paying for monitoring privately? Infertility that is shocking to find out something so unexpected could you raise it with your hospital complaints/investigation department to get to the bottom of it?

I have had a scan on cd14 and have no developing follicles, bit gutted tbh but my lining is thickening which is positive I guess!! Will be scanned again tomorrow just to see if it's definitely a failed cycle 😕

Sunny1984 · 04/05/2017 15:53

Sorry Boggle not Boogle!! That's no sleep past night shift!!

SummerHopin · 04/05/2017 16:40

Hi Sunny, yes I'm hoping to get a scan at about 7 weeks like Boggle did. I've called the clinic to inform them (it'll be the first time I say the words "I'm pregnant" out loud apart from when I told DH!) but the nurse hasnt called me back so I'm getting a bit twitchy as I just want to tell someone! :)

I wasnt paying for any monitoring privately, I did pay for certain of the tests plus a hycosy scan though before my NHS referral came through though.

Just to remind you though - I went for my first scan and they found nothing! it was cd12 and I had nothing over 8mm. I went back on cd16 and they found a 16mm follicle which must have ovulated approx cd20 as I got my BFP Saturday morning.

So dont lose hope - maybe you're just a late developer like me :)

AmyC86 · 04/05/2017 17:42

Scan didn't go to well. 6th cycle of clomid & there was nothing. Dr seems to think that I've become ammune to clomid as it's worked every other time I've just not ovulated.

Next step IVF. Wasn't as upset as I thought I'd be tbh xx at least the pressure is off now until I get my BMI under 30 (need to loose 3.5/4 stone).

Best thing about it is that I only have to wait until Monday for my next consultation with the consultant & we're away until Sunday now Smile

Thanks for all the continued support and advice xx I'm definitely going to be here for a few more months yet!!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/05/2017 18:32

Aw Amy Sad I'm so sorry your scan wasn't better news for you. Hugs. Anything I can do? Xx

AmyC86 · 04/05/2017 18:37

boggle you've done enough my friend xx through the hard times on this thread!!! You've got your little miracle now xx thank you though 💋

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/05/2017 18:51

Hope your consultant appointment on Monday goes well and you get some positive steps forward. Xx

Iamchanging · 04/05/2017 19:13

Infertility, that's horrendous- I really hope that you get some answers soon.
Boggle congratulations on the scan, sorry to all of you who didn't have positive follicle scans. My first two rounds of 100mg didn't work either, but now I've moved up to 150 it seems to have done the trick. At my scan on Tuesday I had a 19mm and 20mm follicle and they said that I should ovulate today. Having never ovulated once in the almost 2 years I've been trying can anyone tell me if this is a positive opk (on the right?) I've had zero ewcm so I'm worried I've not ovulated, and can't get my bloods done as I go away tomorrow. Thank you!

Boggle that's a beautiful first Baby picture. Congratulations on the positive scan :)

Amy sorry your news wasn't what you were hoping. In terms of weight loss you can do it. I lost 4 stone by limiting carbs and increasing protein.

Thanks everyone for your support. I have to wait until my next appointment on 22nd May to discuss. The nurse is requesting my surgery notes in the meantime. If they are not clear then she said I will need a laparoscopy to determine if I still have my right ovary. I am really worried as for the past couple of months I have had symptoms that are connected to menopause and I know if you have an ovary removed early onset of of menopause may be a side effect, I hope I am just being paranoid 😢 Trying not to stress too much, I have done way to much crying lately. I'll let you know how I get on and fingers crossed it is still there.

Congrats to everyone with good news and hugs to those with not so good news. Lets keep fighting ladies xx

AmyC86 · 04/05/2017 22:03

changing that's positive so ovulation should be in the next 12-36 hours xxx

Iamchanging · 04/05/2017 22:37

Thanks Amy!

SummerHopin · 05/05/2017 13:43

Hi changing I never used OPKs with my PCOS but from what i know that looks good on the right!

Amy, I'm sorry that you received that news, but proud of you for looking forward and seeing what road lies ahead for you.

My 2 symptoms that I had been having (boobs and being cold / under the weather) have vanished! :( I feel totally normal and not pregnant today. I'm only 5 + 4, and desperate to tell my parents but also worried it could tempt fate and things will fall through. Not sure whether to wait for scans etc first or not? Its all very well saying "we'll tell people at 12 weeks" but that seems ages away! Obviuosly I get why you would and thats been my rule the whole way through this, but there are a handful of people who know about my PCOS and about our clomid journey - I will just feel awful lying to them for the next 7 weeks! What would you guys do?

(sorry for the rant - got a bit carried away typing my thoughts there!)

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/05/2017 14:02

I have little to no symptoms Summer, even now so try not to worry too much.

SummerHopin · 05/05/2017 14:12

Thanks Boggle. Have you decided to tell anyone yet?

SLady · 05/05/2017 14:18

Sorry to hear that amy, glad to hear you are keeping a positive mind. Hope your appointment on Monday goes well. And never give up hope...look what happened to fluffy before her IVF appt!

summer I know everyone is different but my thoughts on it are that I would tell those closest to me straight away as regardless of what happened up to 12 weeks I would still confide in those handful of people. Dont get me wrong I wouldn't go shouting from the rooftops until 12 weeks but I have a few people in my inner circle including my mum who I talk to about everything and if something awful happened I know I'd tell that small group as I would need their support so telling them before 12 weeks wouldn't matter in that sense. Hope that makes makes, that's just my personal thoughts I know everyone is different :)

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/05/2017 14:49

My boobs are tender but that's mostly when I lie down at night but other than that, I feel like I did before I got knocked up 😂
I've told my best friends as they've been with me through this journey and my DSis as she is an ex midwife and has also been there for us. Other than that, no one else knows. Desperate to tell people though!

SummerHopin · 05/05/2017 16:35

Slady I agree with you, but DH doesnt want to tell. I can understand why, and it is fun having it as our secret, but our situations are not the same as other people and so I dont know that the normal etiquette applies when it comes to secret keeping. I'm basically just desperate to tell my Mum! We are really close and I hate lying to her.....I avoided talking to her on the phone lastnight as I knew I'd probably give something away!

Still not had a call back from the clinic today and I'm p*ssed off. I'll be 6 weeks on Monday so could get a private scan, but dont want to book one only to then get a call back saying I can have one on the NHS.

I'm sorry, I know I sound very naggy. Maybe its the hormones?! I just feel so frustrated!!

AmyL88 · 05/05/2017 21:12

Hi Ladies,

Hope you don't mind me jumping in but i need some advice please. I had a MMC back in January and found out in my 12 week scan there is no heartbeat. After my ERPC i had a scan and the nurse mentioned if i have PCOS as there were follicles on my ovaries etc anyway i went for blood tests and my testosterone was higher than normal which one Dr said that was enough to be diagnosed with PCOS but my other DR said no. I have been tracking ovulation with OPKS for 2 cycles now and never had a positive OPK. Have i got enough evidence to go back to my DR and push for more tests/medication etc? We have a DS who is 4 and we have never used contraception. We have been 'Trying' for over a year but as i feel pregnant in November i was palmed off saying i could catch pregnant naturally. I have read about various medications they can prescribe for PCOS but was wondering how long does it take to get this through your DR or is it worth going private? Sorry for the ramble post x

AmyC86 · 06/05/2017 17:46

Go back to your doctors and request cd3 and cd21 bloods and go from there amy

AmyC86 · 07/05/2017 13:31

Dried up in here the last few days, is everyone away from their phones whilst the weather is good?!?! Xx

Hope everyone is doing well xxx

Iamchanging · 07/05/2017 17:59

Hi Amy, I'm lucky enough to be on holiday for my first ever TWW (first time I've ovulated) in almost two years which is making it easier. Trying not to get my hopes up, but it's hard not to symptom spot. Thus far I have one, just one though, sore nipple 😂 so not reading too much into that! How are you feeling after your news the other day?

AmyC86 · 07/05/2017 18:39

I'm feeling pleasantly relaxed about the whole thing. Was supposed to have an appointment with the consultant tomorrow, but that appointment was cancelled and I've been given another appointment for a months time.

Pretty shitty tbh because this appointment was originally planned for February, which I had to rearrange, which has now been rearranged by the hospital 3 times 🤔

I'm being terribly British and just waiting. At the end of the day, there's not much they can do apart from offer metformin and dietitian referral until I get my BMI under control.

My husband says that they might do the IVF referral incase of long waiting times. The one thing that I hope they don't do is discharge me back to my GP. I think that would be an awful thing to do & not very proactive.

Low GI lifestyle starts tomorrow. I'm just driving myself mad at vitamins and supplements to take, which I plan to add next month (after pay day) I'm also considering acupuncture but I'm not 100% on that yet.

Hope your having a nice break!!

Iamchanging · 07/05/2017 18:51

I'm glad you're feeling so positive Amy. I need to lose some significant wait as well as my BMI is now over 31. I managed to get it down for my Clomid appointment but I've piled on the pounds since then, and at every subsequent appointment I've been petrified that they are going to weigh me!! So if I'm not pregnant I'm going to going on a diet as well in 2 weeks if you fancy a weight loss buddy? I've now put on 3 stone since I came off the pill which is just horrendous
