Morning ladies! Happy st Patrick's day 🍀 we are all shopping and having a days holiday today so sneaky drinking and maybe the luck of the Irish will prevail! Given we have a "strong Irish name" and my son is called Patrick it's a good day all round!

MissMagpie · 17/03/2017 09:20

Bella - when you eject the stick, the monitor does give the reading again for a minute or so, so that's probably why you got the flashing smiley. Then it resets and goes blank and you can put in the new stick.

Does that match with what you have had?

Supper16 · 17/03/2017 09:23

Morning everyone, I just wanted to post because I'm happy - it's my first cycle after many years on the pill, CD80, and AF is here Grin

I know I have a long way to go and maybe facing another long cycle but feel like I've crossed a major hurdle.

And it's Friday, and Spring has sprung. Here's a pick of my front daffs for all you ladies Flowers

BellaMoon · 17/03/2017 09:40

yes @MissMagpie i guess i just put the fresh stick in as it was displaying my last reading! ohhhh thank god as i thought that was £42
down the drain!

you're a ⭐️

@Supper16 this daffs are beaut! it's raining here in Glasgow, with very grey skies so i'm extremely jealous of your nice bright day! congrats on AF - so nice to hear someone
is welcoming to the witchSmile

HAPPY ST PADDYS DAY LADIES 😘😘

Dollydaydream2829 · 17/03/2017 09:45

Happy St Patrick's day ladies! Hope you are all gearing up for a fun filled weekend??
I am yet again, working. But something has to keep me out of trouble I guess!

That article sounds pretty sensible patient - it's so easy to get lost in planning and charting and DTD at exact O times etc that we forget that a couple of days before it is sometimes all that's needed. It's the bloody luck of the draw with a little bit of extra work from Dor & Peg. It really is a minefield. I really think you should work the relaxed approach hippy, like you say, last cycle really stressed you and that's a definite no no if it can be helped. I can't remember if I told this story but my good friends were trying for a baby for 3 years! Had done all the OPKs, charting etc and had done the clomid, fertility tests - unexplained. Then one month, they had sex ONCE, weren't charting, on a drunken night. And boom.... their baby is 10 weeks old now.

MissMagpie · 17/03/2017 10:47

That's a lovely PMA-filled story Dolly.
It only takes one doreen - no matter how often you dtd, so we should stop beating ourselves up.

CakesALot · 17/03/2017 11:16

DD was conceived the cycle after my mmc. I had no idea when ov would happen, I just wanted to get back on the dtd wagon after an emotional time without worrying about anything else. We managed two goes then decided to give it a rest until af had been and gone. But she never showed up. It really is pot luck and sometimes, everything just falls into place. I think it's about finding the approach that suits you as a person whatever that may be!

Hippychic79 · 17/03/2017 13:22

Thank you for the pics Moo and Supper

I echo what Bella said - nice to hear someone welcoming AF for a change!

thank you Dolly and Cakes - for the lovely PMA chilled TTC stories .... the more i think about it, the more it makes sense to chill out about this TTC lark... so thank you for reinforcing this decision for me ladies

such positive stories and so reassuring, love that we're not all doom and gloom, i read another TTC thread the other day (whilst looking for this new one - not because i'd ever leave you lovely lot) and honest to god, it was sooo bad. they were essentially convincing each other that they were all infertile. #negativenancy #debbiedowners

i STILL have flashing smileys ladies... #whattheactualfuck ?? so flashing smiley on sunday, circle monday morning, then flashing smiley all bloody week! i was thinking of chucking them when i thought my reader was faulty and it gave me a wee bit of anxiety so i'm obviously not ready to give them up just yet. so, that's now 6 days of flashing smileys... not going to look too much into this as good old google had me at deaths door when i looked it up last night.

have my fingers x'd for peak so i'll get jiggy with it, na na na nananaaa 🎶 all weekend.

hope you all have a fabby weekend 😘😘😘

rainbowsockstoday · 17/03/2017 17:48

Sorry to hear you still have flashing smiley @bella could you try a different type of opk test? Surely other people except cb do them.

rainbowsockstoday · 17/03/2017 17:49

What do we think ladies? Time to move to daily or stick to every other night? Don't really understand the SMEP rules 😆

PMA Express to BFP #4
Itsjustaphase84 · 17/03/2017 17:54

I did it every other day from cd8 then once I got positive did it consecutively. I also did it even after the opks when blank for a few days extra as I think I ovd about 48-36 hours after my +ive in this cycle. Used that bloody many of the dam things thanks to late ov.

Aww I love this thread. Lovely flowers posted earlier. Love spring. I'm cd30, 12 dpo Shock due tomorrow or Sunday xx

CakesALot · 17/03/2017 18:12

Oo @Itsjustaphase84! So close. Any thoughts/feelings? I have zero symptoms of either af or pg at 9 dpo. Last month I felt like I got them all! Off away to the in laws in Surrey this weekend and not back until late Sunday so no testing temptation which is a relief!

rainbowsockstoday · 17/03/2017 18:17

I can't tell if it's positive or not as the instructions say it negative but surely two lines mean positive?!

I give up guessing and just going to tell him it's time. We are at least speaking now but have a poorly toddler so that might be tricky 😆 love a good challenge!

Hippychic79 · 17/03/2017 19:35

bella sorry your still getting flashy ... other than calling the cb care line and enquiring with them I'm not sure what to suggest ... oh and just keep dtd every other day if you can :))

phase and cakes I'm rooting for you ladies .... common universe give us another double whammy

#firstdayofspringonmondaywhoopwhoop

rainbow looks like your time is near ... i don't use ic's and I'm no opk expert ... I'd say ... get and dtd deed when you can ... good luck xxx

My new book has arrived today ladies and it is a corker .... although like most healthy recipe books ... I haven't heard of some of the ingredients... when is someone gonna write a simple fertility recipe book...
i.e. - eat chocolate and get upduffed 😂😂😂😂

Have any of my fellow grads had any symptoms yet?

Relatively symptom free here I think? Although my sleep has gone to shit, and waves of nausea. I'm moody too.

Bit worried that I've not yet been throwing up. I had HG during My pregnancy with DS so it's a bit unsettling that my head hasn't been down the throne yet! Saying that, 4 weeks and 1 day today.

Booked my first MW appointment for 18th April!

BellaMoon · 17/03/2017 20:09

@rainbowsockstoday i think you're getting real close with that OPKs 👍🏼👍🏼 i have the IC OPKs but haven't tracked them properly at all. i should have OV'd a week ago so feck knows. will just plod along til AF shows 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Itsjustaphase84 how you feeling about testing? 🍀

@Hippychic79 thanks chic, i might call them tomorrow for advice. will keep the pumpage on course as much as i can 👉🏼👌🏼

Itsjustaphase84 · 17/03/2017 20:29

@cakesAlot and @Bella. I had major af symptoms other day but none the last 2 days. Im not reading too much into it as I been here before. I'm absolutely 100% avoiding testing until Monday...ok maybe Sunday evening if no af. But then I remember getting my bfp on a Monday 3 years ago and af was due Sunday Smile

I'm almost egging it on so I can get on with the next cycle.

My DP has just handed me my daily folic acid pill with a glass of wine. Grin

Good luck fellow cycle buddies/poas-ers over the wk end.

Dollydaydream2829 · 17/03/2017 20:32

I'd echo what the ladies say rainbows - looks pretty close to positive! Test again in the morning!

When you testing phase? This weekend? Or were you leaving off til Monday? Sorry, I can't remember!

cakes I had no symptoms at all before my BFP which was very unsettling! So hopefully your lack of symptoms will be positive too!

Good luck with the recipe book hippy - if it involves more than three ingredients, I'm out! I'm hopeless in the kitchen!!

ohb I've only started to get symptoms this week really 5wks + ..... I'm 5+5 now and my nausea is pretty bad and I'm constantly knackered. My boobs are sore. Other than that, I've not been moody (Although ask DH and he might say something different....) and the cramps seem to be behaving themselves!

@Phase - definitely hold off until the morning as your fmu will be so much stronger than night time wee. Also it's a good sign if you got your last bfp on a Monday!

@Hippy - you are going to need a new book case soon! Looking forward to seeing some of the recipes when you make them!

@Rainbow - that ic looks positive to me. Confused if your packet says 2 lines is negative though?

@Bella - hopefully cb can shed some light. If you've got a faulty one I would hit the ceiling! So frustrating!

@Ohb - I'm still cramping on and off but morning sickness has been in full flow since Wed (5+5) - i haven't been sick though just nauseous. I was 6 weeks yesterday - the magic 6 week mark :) Now on the countdown to 8 weeks. Midwife app on Tue and I have an early private scan on Friday. It's starting to sink in! Also same as you my sleep has gone to shit too!

Moo31 · 18/03/2017 08:21

Hippy - love the pics! Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend planned too :) xo
