Roseandbee · 04/04/2017 21:50

I love obem too been watching it on catchup, still have a load of episodes I haven't seen yet

Moo31 · 04/04/2017 22:40

Ladies sorry I've been awol oh whisked me away for a wee b&b break on Sunday and we just ate and chilled and ate and chilled - was lovely! This evening I caught up with family who used to live in England but emigrated to Canada 15 years ago. I haven't seen them in over 20 years so it was great catching up!

Congrats goldie :)

I hope everyone is well :)

I need some expert advice from you lovelies Grin - I have my gp appt tomorrow where they will refer me to wherever I want to give birth. I love the idea of midwife led which is in the Belfast Trust but the community midwife I saw a few weeks ago said that I might be considered "high risk" as I have asthma and therefore wouldn't be able to go MWL (which i wont know until i have been referred and the Belfast Trust assess me). I've never had an asthma attack and would describe my asthma as seasonal - worse in the winter but not unmanageable. If i can't go MWL I'll choose an alternative Health Trust for consultant led over the Belfast Trust consultant led ... the midwife mentioned it's possible to change Trusts after initial referral but basically it's a big hassle and they would prefer not to do it ... so does anyone know if having asthma, regardless of how mild, would prevent me from going MWL? In which case I'll pick the other trust for consultant led! Nice dilemma to have I know :) xo

Moo31 · 04/04/2017 22:42

Ps I have obem recorded - scared to watch though as it's a bit more real now that previously!

Pps ohb well done for getting out of that relationship and getting to where you are now. Big pma to you!

Sophsta · 04/04/2017 22:48

Morning you lovely beautiful ladies....

Well.... I watched obem last night for the first time and could not believe my actual eyes ... the first girl was sooooo soooo young and her situation .... actually made me quite sad .... whilst I respect the lad for standing by her ..... I controversially think that babies should ideally be brought into this world with the parents being in a relationship. I appreciate that couples with children don't always stay together but this particular couple weren't even properly together from the get go. Ok so I'm going to sound like a snob here ... but is this episode indicative of all the couples on this show? Xxx

Hippychic79 · 05/04/2017 07:02

moo glad you had a lovely chilled break. I am not sure on the asthma dilemma, sorry Hun. I would explain that it's seasonal and let them know exactly what you want .... I'm sure they will be able to help.

No I wouldn't say they were typical hippy. I think OBEM try and show a wide variety of couples throughout the series.

BellaMoon · 05/04/2017 07:38

morning all

keep plugging those stats in and i'll get the list out once most folks have added theirs.

i watched OBEM too, having not seen it since a DH/OH was a complete twat to his contracting partner, i wanted to throat punch him! i did find that young lad admirable in his endeavour to be a good father, the young lass appeared to me to be so lost but, it takes all walks of life to make the world spin i guess.

it did make me double take when the other couple named their new baby boy Devontae. i find this such a bizarre name, (not taking away the fact that it means something to them) hope i'm not offending anyone here so thought i'd ask, am i alone? i categorise this as a "completely made up name", how do we all feel about names? i don't see myself as a traditionalist but i do draw a line at what i see as a bunch of letters just thrown together (sorry)!

olicat · 05/04/2017 08:06

I know I felt for the young girl as she looked so terrified! I'm glad the guy took responsibility anyway (even though I'm not sure I could handle the level of banter in the delivery room ha). Did think the other couple were very sweet though as they clearly loved each other to bits.

ohb that's really good news about the anti d's - I successfully came off them about 1.5 years ago so I know it's a big achievement.

My stats:

Age 29
Ttc #1
Cycle 1
Bfp/af due 25/04

Just dropping in from what I hope is to be a relaxed cycle to wave hello to everyone and leave my stats. Really hope it's ok that I stay with you although I don't post too much atm.

Ohb well done you coming off your meds! Happy to hear you are in a good relationship now, that makes a huge difference.

Rainbow so sorry to hear about what must have been a very traumatic experience. I hope all went as well as it could yesterday. So sorry you have to go through this.

Goldie congrats on you bfp! Great news!

Bella, thanks for taking care of our stats while Salem is taking some well deserved time off. I am pretty sure this is your month, but please promise to stay with us when you get your bfp! We really need you to make us laugh - which we all know is crucial to preserving that PMASmile

Morning ladies....
Just popping in my stats as have been away on a hen do this weekend and am trying to catch up! Taken the relaxed approach this month although pretty sure I ovulated this weekend whilst being away so am probably out for April!

Stats are
Age 25

So sorry to hear about your rubbish time rainbow I understand How hard it must be for you!!

Huge congratulations Goldie

Keep the PMA going ladies, I'm actually feeling very chilled this month... going to start focusing on losing some weight and spending some much needed quality time with hubby and step son!

Happy hump day lovely ladies!

Bella Thank you for doing the list this month. Here's my stats:

TTC #2
Cycle: 10
Age: 26
BFP Due: 11th April

Ohb I'm so happy that you're happy Smile and so sorry for what you went through previously.

Moo I'm not sure about the asthma thing, but I do know that they change their mind so much sometimes up until you giving birth. My friend was classed as high risk and told she couldn't use the MWL unit, then they said she could, then she couldn't and she ended up giving birth there in the end! And another thing, when you are actually in labour, you honestly won't give a toss where you end up giving birth, you'll just want that baby out! Grin

MissMagpie · 05/04/2017 09:10

Morning ladies!
Glad to hear you are doing so well ohb. Well done and keep up the good work!

Bella you are hilarious! We can rely on you to brighten up our days. :)

Here are my stats for the list:
Age 34
Ttc #2
Cycle 10
BFP due around 27th April (well depending on ovulation which seems to vary by quite a lot!)

Hippychic79 · 05/04/2017 10:51

Well if that wasn't a typical episode of OBEM, maybe I'll give it another go next week. The young lad was quite funny, but you're right olicat... not sure i would tolerate that level of banter in the delivery room :)

Bella that name was pretty random, cant say I've heard of it :)

#weloveyoursenseofhumour #weloveyourhashtags #weloveyou

Rainbow if you're still lurking - virtual hugs

Well I am really pleased that we are all having a nice relaxed cycle... I think I'm CD24 today so knicker watch will be commencing soon :)

Oh hippy chic I'm cycle day 23 today!!! What should I be looking out for? lol xx

Hippychic79 · 05/04/2017 13:41

amanda ... reference symptoms .... i have absolutely no idea ... I'm tTC 1 myself. I've had a chilled out cycle this month so i don't even know what dpo I am :))) I am trying to avoid symptom spotting myself as it tends to fuel my expectations which makes the worse case scenario harder to handle ....
my cycle varies from 26-29 days but last month it was 30 days.
Will you be testing or waiting it out?

AF due 16th according to app but can take preg test in 5 days. Not sure what to do! Those snowy white backgrounds just give me the fear 😭
