Hi ladies, just a quick intro.. i keep waiting and missing all the appropriate threads to post first time on!

Im hanna, age 30..from north london.

A bit of back ground- we are ttc #1, 2nd month of trying after being on microgynon for a few years.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I've been MIA due to being ridiculously busy at work. Still no AF but been using opk's and got a positive yesterday so I guess it was one of those things. Glad it seems I'm still ovulating. Il keep tracking opk's over the next few days too.

Af due today but no sign. A little cramping this evening but may be imagining it. Did a test yesterday and was bfn. I hate the waiting!!

Using OPKs and all are coming back negative. Not sure if this is because the merina withdrawal bleed is considered af, though online research suggests not. However if not really followed the instructions and have been testing with first pee of the day. Is this an issue or does it not matter?

Have tested again -about 6 times 😱 as expected a bfn..OH would have a hernia if he found out..so going a little bit crazy 😜 AF is due, but not here today (yet)! Ttc is quite maddening iykwim hubby thinks im mad..but just excited at the thought of becoming a mummy.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. It's going to take a while to sink in i think! I took a frer with fmu this morning and a definite line came up on that too although it wasn't as dark as what i would have expected at 15dpo, it took about half an hour to darken to what is in the picture but trying not to worry too much am completely obssessing. I'll try again in a couple of days to see if the line has got any darker, I've got some clearblue digis to try too (gone a bit mental spending a small fortune on pregnancy tests in my shocked state ) but don't want to take one in case it says "not pregnant". I'll try that one in a few days too, might start to believe it if i can see the words in front of me "pregnant".

hana - have been thinking of how you've been getting on. sorry about all the bfn's so far.....what is af doing to you?!?! fingers crossed your bfp shows up in the next couple of days. which tests are you using? same for you too wanttogoingto - how frustrating!! so bloody stressful!!!

fayemay - how strange af just never turned up, she can be a bit of a vindictive cow sometimes just to mess with our heads! hope you and infinity both get positive opks soon.

Afternoon ladies..so to update you on how things are... i tested again this morning and got my first BFP😊😁😊
Highly excited, and confirmed it just now with a FRER! Cant believe it😊

Sorry I have been missing from group. My AF was nearly two weeks late and had a few bfn so I presumed I was out. Decided to test again Thursday and got a line so tested with a clearblue digital and it said pregnant 1-2 weeks!!! Absolutely delighted but still doesn't feel real!!

AF turned up for me today.....15 days late! Feel a bit relieved if I'm honest as I can now start afresh next month. Not sure why I was getting a positive opk reading....my body has been messing with me!

Congrats @RoxyDancer  too! When do you plan to go to the gp? I'm Still really nervous as only 4weeks..will hold to see GP a week or so, just incase..

My af finally showed up and went again so I'm all guns blazing for this month now. Onwards and upwards ladies!

Hi ladies..thought id write here as no one to turn to..all our close friends are not in this country..I feel alone.

Anyway, experienced really bad cramps last night and bleeding. Hospital has advised that hormone levels in blood are very low and internal smear like exam suggests miscarriage..feel really awful and can't stop blaming myself for what's happening to me. I have a scan at 3 to confirm this

Thanks guys.. i feel awful-it just feels better to know I have some friends out there listening...

the whole thing was rather traumatic.. i woke about 3am the previous night with stabbing pains and went to the loo to find i was passing blood, by about 10 in the morning this increased and i was in severe pain, struggling to stand and pale in colour..went to a&e.. they checked internally and I could tell by then what what happening. They used the smear test thing to open me up and clean all the blood and lining etc from developing baby out...its left me feeling battered and bruised in side...there is still a good amount of cramping to top that feeling.

They put me on a drip before the scan and bloods confirmed the miscarriage.

I feel crap..hubby has been really good and I know it's better now than carrying baby around for a while and happening later..but still- my body was creating a home for this little life and changing to accommodate it and all that bought so much happiness! I feel a little cheated over it all..

Hey bigcakes .. im feeling better overall-have been telling myself that im sad because i knew i was pregnant and ttc- if I didn't maybe this would have just felt like a killer AF! Thinking more positively and waiting for the bleeding to go..the cramps have reduced greatly but have a very painful back and feel bruised down below from the poking around that happened...

I have to say I'm struggling a little. I've been doing OPK kits for the last two weeks and there has been nothing 😕. I thought a couple of times that there was a faint line and it might get darker but it hasn't. I'm now wondering if I'm experiencing the Mirena crash in full force as have been nauseous for four days in a row but preg test came back negative. Can't believe I'm actually wanting my period to arrive to know that my hormones are in balance. Am supposed to be studying today but can't concentrate, seem totally focused on reading about what I can do to understand what is going on with my body. Even contemplating spending £100+ on a saliva hormone test kit. As I write this I feel like I sound a little crazy 😳.

I felt like that last cycle @infinity - desperate for the period to arrive for once just so I know things were working! Any sign of it yet?
I'm pretty sure I ovulated this week so there's been some serious effort to get my knocked up in the last few days. I'm now going to try and put it out of my mind for the next week or so till af is due - easier said than done but I'm going to try and keep busy.

Thanks Infinity, i'm much better this week and the bleed seems to have stopped. All in all relieved that this happened now rather than a few months down the line.. Still off work for the next week so recuperating -the whole process has really knackered me!

Had a chat with OH and we are going to start ttc again properly next month once AF has been...thats not to say that we're taking any precautions this month...

@InfinityPlus any sign of AF yet? fingers crossed you're sorted soon -either with AF or even better -a BFP! xx

Make sure you get plenty of rest @hanna87. It can take a little while to build up your strength again after these things so be gentle with yourself.

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better @hanna87. It sounds really positive that you and OH have made plans to TTC.

I've been all over the place emotionally - last two nights I've been in floods of tears. OH has been wonderful and I feel reassured that he'll be up to the challenge of looking after me should we conceive. I've decided to not carry on with the OPKs until after AF appears as I'm sure that's not helping. Fingers crossed for AF next week!!!

BFN this morning, which I knew in my heart of hearts would be the case, nausea has stopped which is good. Just have to wait for AF.
