The thread where it does exactly what it says on the tin! We are all either actively TTC or preparing ourselves for TTC - come join us! Big thanks to confused for getting the last two threads going!

Haha MrsC my DP make a joke about triplets, I actually don't know what I'd do I only want 2!

Thank you Tigger :)

Welcome May! I don't know much about donor eggs, but wishing you luck TTC Flowers

AllTheGlitters · 02/03/2017 13:02

Parsnips tingly boobs were my first sure sign with DD, can't wait for you to test!!! Shock

DancingUnicorn · 02/03/2017 13:28

I really want twins (oh's mum is a twin, but don't think that can affect it...?, but my mum has siblings who are twins...) right now it's mainly because I want more than one but have no desire to ever be pregnant again! Really hope I enjoy the later stages. :( Sorry, don't mean to be a downer!!

Glitters, that's wonderful that it's already darker!! :)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 13:39

Thanks everyone for all your support and welcome may

I'd love twins to get it all done! And for baby squirrel to have a close sibling. DH and I will only try for 1 child otherwise (I already have DD and career etc would be shot with 2 mat leaves). He'd have to be a SAHD though! Although I'd worry about the effect of a twin pregnancy on my body (I tend to put on loads of weight while pregnant- think a hippo with a moon face)

Feeling quite relaxed and happy as it's sunny and my work day finishes at 4:30 today!

AllTheGlitters · 02/03/2017 13:57

Thanks Dancer :) How far along are you?

Completely understandable how you're feeling! Plus it does sound like twins could run in the family for you :)

Although I'm so excited to be pregnant, it hasn't fully sunk in yet. Birth was straightforward but ruined by the midwife I had (really, she was awful on so many levels), and it's giving me a lot of anxiety already know I'll have to give birth in the same hospital :(

may2017ttc · 02/03/2017 14:03

thanks all! i'm actually getting donor sperm, not eggs :)

oh gosh twins... there are none in my family at all but who knows what my donor's background is like! i only want one child though so the prospect of having twins is pretty scary but can see why people would love having them

HbH04 · 02/03/2017 14:07

Girls, does anyone (maybe mummy!) know if its ok to have a smear test whilst TTC? I have one booked for the morning but don't want to traumatise my cervix a few days before FW! Obvs I'll check with the nurse before, just wondered if there was any knowledge floating about!!

Hi may

AllTheGlitters · 02/03/2017 14:13

Ooh HB I've never had but I think I did see someone on another thread how they gynae said they wouldn't do it if there was a chance of being pregnant? It might be worth calling and finding out what their view on it is :)

Redpony1 · 02/03/2017 14:17

Welcome May Smile

The thought of twins terrifies me! We don't have twins anywhere in our families though

Seven0fNine · 02/03/2017 15:04

Thanks for the support my loves😘Going to ring the doctors tomorrow and make an appointment. It's like light af Jupiter but I haven't really had a heavy full flow one since coming off the pill. Just long!

Welcome may what an exciting journey for you xx

I don't think I'd choose twins but would be of course a blessing if it happened, twins in dh family but did I read that males don't effect? Doesn't it have to be in the mamas genes? May have made that up!!

Mimilicious013 · 02/03/2017 15:20

Hie may and good luck
hb I have had a smear done when I was expecting. I wouldn't know if it would affect ov so best you ask.
The idea of twins scares the living hell out of me.my tummy grows so humongous, I can imagine if I am carrying twins.
grumpy hope af has stayed away and you are just a late implanter.
Hope all the upduffed lladies are coping and there are more bfps to come

Redpony1 · 02/03/2017 15:23

My first AF off pill was 4 days, medium flow. When i was on the coil i had irregular very heavy flow. I cannot remember at all what it was like pre-birth control! So i fully expect to get the same irregularities you are experiencing post-pill Seven Sad

I'm having zero luck with OPKs so far, i am on CD22 and nothing more than a very faint line since CD8... When Ovia predicted my FW would start on 5th March i thought it was taking the pee, but it might well be true!!

orangefolly · 02/03/2017 15:29

Welcome May and hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the spring in the air today.

glitters massive congats! I love that we have quite a big antenatal group on here now!!

grumpy glad to hear you're feeling more relaxed - it has been a tough TWW!

My OPKs are getting darker again today so I am thinking maybe my surge is still to come tonight... so confusing!!

orangefolly · 02/03/2017 16:21

Btw I would be terrified with twins, but I bet it would be lovely to get it all 'over and done with' and lovely for them to have such a close sibling

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 02/03/2017 16:41

Roderick Stewart this evening ladies - ah woo hoo

I had a scan about 3 years ago to check my endo and as they scanned me she said omg I've never seen this before.... I was releasing 2 eggs just as she scanned me... she said do twins run in your maternal family, I said yes my mum and she said well there's a strong possibility that you could have twins... gulp! I keep trying to prepare my oh but he just laughs and I've honestly been feeling so awful it does feel like a possibility.... watch this space lol!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 17:03

Wow tigger that's amazing!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 17:04

Thank you orange and mimi still no AF here! Got my waxing done which hurt way more than usual which is typically a sign of AF or so I have read (didn't notice it before due to pill steady hormones).

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 17:08

Planning to work from home tomorrow feel I deserve it after an absolutely manic week with clients.

DH is being very sweet as I've been disheartened every morning by a BFN.

Honestly NO IDEA if I'm about to get AF or a BFP having just implanted late. It feels 50-50 to me, especially given the late BFP with my DD. Still got backache but not as bad as yesterday.

Roll on CD32 tomorrow and another strip test!

Tigger83 · 02/03/2017 17:16

Grumpy my first wax being pregnant was much more painful than normal (even in the day or so before af!!)

Tigger83 · 02/03/2017 17:17

Parsnips 'we are sailing we are saiiiilllllling' have fun!!

Mummyme87 · 02/03/2017 17:22

No idea about smear tests and TTC. Don't have them when pregnant but not sure about TtC.

I would really not like twins at Alex I struggled with one baby two would tip me over the edge. Plus the risks involved during pregnancy and birth are so much higher.

I'm not doing well on the losing weight front.. must sort it out!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 17:38

Omg tigger really? I was in so much pain my lady was like what's up with you today!

Tigger83 · 02/03/2017 17:55

Yup I've been waxed for about 15years and by far the most painful.
