The thread where it does exactly what it says on the tin! We are all either actively TTC or preparing ourselves for TTC - come join us! Big thanks to confused for getting the last two threads going!

Oh confused how frustrating! Are you still in pain? I'd be reassured by what they said at the ultrasound. What will they be looking for with more blood tests? Do you have to go back to the horrid doctor?

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 20/02/2017 11:51

Oh confused what a horrible stressful day! Honestly some doctors can just be so rude and insensitive and not appreciate how worrying things are! I would trust the ultrasound ladies for the time being as they are probably much closer to things and know what to look for. If they are telling you not to worry then try to put your mind at rest as much as you can. What a horrible experience. I'm sure you are at your wits end!

Grumpy yeah still im some pain... i asked about laxatives to see if there is something i could take to see if getting things moving helps with the pain... he said it doesnt matter at this point because they think its ectopic... i mean really !?!?... i could take something that could damage my baby just because it might be too small to properly see on the scan... and the bloods are to check the HCG is doubling every 48 hours... if it is an increase of 60% or more then they consider that to be a good indication that its in the right place... if its not then thats not very good news and its likely to be ectopic

Parsnips i have a lot of respect for doctors etc and i hate when people do the whole they dont know what they are talking about... but i know he didnt look at the ultrasounds because he said so and his question of why are you here then shows that he could have skimmed the notes at most! Its just not very reassuring when they are also partially responsible for my tiny bubble at this stage!

Redpony1 · 20/02/2017 12:17

Oh wow you're going through it aren't you confused!! Crossing fingers & toes for you, your Dr sounds awful.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 20/02/2017 12:28

Confused - think that type of attitude is inexcusable when a pregnant woman is clearly in distress. I completely agree that many people are quick to doctor bash (sometimes unreasonably) but I think we should be able to expect that a doctor will take the time to find out what is going on before they make statements like oh it's a miscarriage without reading your file! I know they are under so much pressure sometimes that they don't have a full grasp of the facts but that's really not on - especially in your case! I hope you get some answers soon!

Oh confused I'm so sorry, you poor thing Flowers what a dreadful experience and totally unfair. Are you going back tomorrow for blood results? The codeine will be making the constipation much worse though so maybe not best option? Thinking of you. We're all here xx

Your bubble is going to be a big bubble and then a gorgeous little bubba ❤️

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/02/2017 19:13

Right so the stupid thrush is still bugging me despite cream etc etc. So from tomorrow I am doing a ZERO SUGAR DIET that means no refined carbs either. Also I've been very bad with snacking and full fat coke recently which I don't normally do. Anyone want to join? I desperately need some focus in this TWW... broccoli & eggs for breakfast , fish and salad for lunch ... stuck on dinner ideas

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/02/2017 19:15

Oh and I'm so bored that I did an OPK which was the strongest line I've ever had in the evening .. read that this is a good sign? 7dpo tomorrow (possibly 9dpo .. if I go by earliest ov symptoms). ARGH

HeyJupiter · 20/02/2017 19:29

I've heard that's a good sign too Grumpy! Are you testing later this week with an hpt? Sorry to hear thrush really bad though :(

HbH04 · 20/02/2017 19:33

Oooh interesting grumpy .... do you have a FRER to hand for tomo or few days time?!

Glad you're enjoying Lisbon MrsC ! Have fun in the sun!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/02/2017 19:35

Thanks Jupiter im going to test on Friday which is 10dpo.. then again on 28th (14dpo).. I've bought two FRERs in honour of the occasion Wink

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/02/2017 19:35

X-post hb!

HeyJupiter · 20/02/2017 19:41

Excellent work Grumpy we'll be cheering you on for Friday :)

Tigger83 · 20/02/2017 19:47

I got a really strong opk then did a pg test and low and behold a positive!! Good luck grumpy!

Saw gp today, he wants me to go for an early scan as I've got endo so we've had to pick our hospital and I'll be booking in with a midwife tomorrow makes it all seem very real! He said it's nothing to worry about but endo increases chances of ectopic although he checked my tummy and said no signs that he can see and I feel ok just light cramping, seasick feeling etc

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/02/2017 19:51

Ahh thanks tigger and good luck with the booking in and scan! That's so exciting!!

OPK wasn't positive but almost (equivalent to the darkest line I've seen all cycle). Maybe I'm not even ovulating lol! This makes you crazy.. the one thing that is making me hopeful is I've had a seasick feeling all morning then again in afternoon 4-6pm.. not like normal nausea

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2017 20:05

Oh confused I'm sorry you're having a crap time. Hope you're feeling okay.

grumpy your symptoms sound positive!!!

My pelvic discomfort continued all day today and boobs maybe feeling tender tonight... or maybe I'm imagining it

I'm watching the Sutton vs arsenal game... it's literally down the road from me 😂

DancingUnicorn · 20/02/2017 20:06

That's so exciting Tigger! I'm still waiting for details of a booking appt.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/02/2017 20:11

Mummy are you testing again Wednesday?

I have tender boobs but now I don't know if this is just a part of my natural cycle as I was on the pill for so long!

buzzmoon · 20/02/2017 20:13

Very exciting positive symptoms!!

buzzmoon · 20/02/2017 21:35

Just did my first opk, gonna have to buy a shit load more I think, I'm going to want to poas like every hour! It's bloody addictive
