Morning all!
I can still se something grumpy and your sickness is a good sign!
confused yay for your scan! Send us the pic if you get one!!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 26/02/2017 09:06

What number DPO are you currently on Grumpy?

God the wait is horrible!

OP posts:
TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 09:07

12DPO but that's not certain as I didn't get on with the OPKs. So it could be 14dpo or 10dpo i think

Mummyme87 · 26/02/2017 09:46

grumpy I'm sure I can still see a a very very faint line. Wait it out a couple of days maybe if you can

DancingUnicorn · 26/02/2017 09:46

Sorry it's not more conclusive grumpy. If you can hear waiting a couple of days you should get a clear answer!!

Confused, really hoping everything is perfect with little bubble tomorrow!! :)

Finally told my parents, pil and best friend yesterday! :D (although also having weird stomach pains which is terrifying, but I think it's too high to be anything to do with pregnancy... fx!)

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 26/02/2017 09:49

Ooh dancing how exciting - how did it go?

OP posts:
HeyJupiter · 26/02/2017 09:56

That's so wonderful dancing, I bet they were so happy! Am sure the pains are probably digestive related if higher up. Must be so hard not to symptom spot even when you know you are definitely pregnant!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 09:56

Thanks mummy and dancing I'm def waiting till Tuesday at least!

Dancing what did they say? So exciting

DancingUnicorn · 26/02/2017 10:07

Everyone was really excited I think. Will be first gc on both sides of the family determined not to let it get too spoiled! My pil will almost certainly be away when baby is born though. :( My friend was super excited for me! :) decided it was just easier to tell her than fend off questions about not drinking last night!

MrsC2017 · 26/02/2017 10:19

grumpy hopefully after a few days you'll have a clear answer, so frustrating especially when u have all the signs! confused best of luck at the scan tomorrow, it'll be lovely to see bubble! dancing that's lovely, I'm sure everyone is thrilled for you guys!! jupiter welcome back to FW, best of luck!! 💜 7dpo here, don't really have any symptoms to report, the twinges have stopped so I guess just the waiting game now! parsnips hope your Monday flies by!

ladyglittersparkle · 26/02/2017 10:20

Hi, I've been lurking for a while (too nervous to join in lol) but I felt I had to post and say hang in there grumpy I didn't get my BFP until 16 dpo with my second child. I had symptoms before then and "just knew" but it was so frustrating every time I tested and it was negative. Things are looking good for you it may just still be too early. Good luck xx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 10:36

Thanks mrsC and welcome lady don't be shy tell us about you! Thanks for your input, tbh with my DD I didn't even get a squinter till AF was over a week late, but that was 12 years ago so I was hoping the tests are more sensitive these days!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 26/02/2017 14:30

Everyone's very quiet today. What are you all up to? It's been raining constantly in Dubai for about a week. Very strange. Not used to great skies over here!

OP posts:
buzzmoon · 26/02/2017 14:31

I was just thinking that parsnips! I've just driven back from my grandparents house, it's just started raining ☔️ going to go for a carvery now 😋 What you up to?

Tigger83 · 26/02/2017 14:36

We're wedding venue searching! So stressful and not helped when I'm a hormonal mess lol

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 14:39

Hey guys! Sorry about the rain parsnips...** it's our first dry mild day here so DH and I have been clearing and sorting the garden for spring. Very therapeutic. I skipped yoga this morning as felt too nauseous. We went to the tip instead! I love de cluttering.
DD has lazed around all morning and is now doing homework. Hope it was nice at the grandparents buzz.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 14:41

Ahh tigger I feel your pain.. DH and I had quite a few "disagreements" before we found our venue lol.. actually he was quite a groomzilla! What kind of places did you see today?

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 26/02/2017 15:05

I am just leaving work now and will be logging on after dinner as I have an all day presentation that I'm doing tomorrow and I need to do my time recording for the month 😱😱

Should make the week go quickly though.

OP posts:
MrsC2017 · 26/02/2017 15:18

Oh tigger I hated that part too, I hope u find somewhere soon! parsnips it's raining here too and DS is still very sick, high temperature and he's asleep on the couch which is not one bit like him! Poor munchkin, feel sorry for him!

HeyJupiter · 26/02/2017 16:23

Oh MrsC sorry to hear that DS is still feeling rotten :( Poor thing. 7DPO means it's getting exciting - have you got any plans to test this week or are you waiting on AF coming/not coming? Fingers crossed for you lovely!

We went for a blustery walk by the coast today and then a roast. Was gorgeous. Also got myself a fitbit in the hope that I can start picking up my steps a bit each day. Seriously need to motivate myself and get a handle on the weight situation!

Hello lady and a massive welcome :) Feel free to tell us all about yourself if you like and welcome to the TTC madness.

buzz hope you had a lovely sunday lunch!

Sorry about the miserable rain parnsips, that must feel very strange after (I assume) dry heat a lot of the rest of the time?

Tigger what kinds of places have you been visiting? Pregnancy and wedding planning - you're a brave woman! Enjoy though, it's such a special time.

Grumpy hope you're hanging on. The seasick feelings surely have to be pregnancy related after all this time. A bug would have passed by now. So excited for you.

Dancing must have been so lovely telling everyone. I have little daydreams about telling my parents and PILs. Particularly though my DH's grandma who I know will be so happy she won't know what to do with herself. She is 90 this year and would be a lovely extra present for her. So much to look forward to.

DancingUnicorn · 26/02/2017 16:43

Don't let it get you down Tigger! It's so hard finding somewhere right for you. We went to some truly awful places!! I hope you find somewhere soon, as it's so much easier after that!

Grumpy I really wish I had your enthusiasm for de-cluttering and the like. I'm so lazy, and both me and oh are not tidy people and like to hoard things that will definitely not be useful one day!!

Welcome lady! :)

Jupiter I hoped my Fitbit would motivate me. (Had it over a year now). It did for a while, now it just proves how lazy I am each day.... Although at the moment I'm managing to lose weight as I don't want to eat anything at all!

ladyglittersparkle · 26/02/2017 16:50

Hi everyone, I have 2 DC the youngest is 17 months and DH and I have decide to start ttc. I actually stopped taking the mini pill on the 8th Jan and as yet have had no bleeding. I got some OPKs and have been getting a second line but only faint, so where near as dark as the other line. I have been taking my temperature but it seems so up and down. Ovia said I ovulated a couple of weeks ago but I don't think I did as I never got a dark line, so who knows.

DancingUnicorn · 26/02/2017 16:54

Ah lady the joys of ovia! Is she a genius? Or is she just a lying tease?!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 17:05

Hi lady it can take a while to get AF after the mini pill. Red, buzz and I were all on it, took 35 days for me slightly less for buzz (that's right isn't it?) and longer for red. No idea if I ovulated before that AF, but felt very weird and tired with sore boobs!! I think the adjustment back to natural hormones is quite significant.

HeyJupiter · 26/02/2017 17:15

My friend and I were talking about how long it can take people to regulate cycles after coming off the pill..do you think GPs should be more open about this when they first start prescribing it? I went on the pill at 17 and at no point was it mentioned (as far as I recall!) which looking back seems wrong. I prescribe medication for people daily and always talk about the impact of withdrawal/how long it will take to safely stop taking etc. I know very different to prescribing the contraceptive pill but the principle is the same.
