Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Salem - I found it a chore never mind oh! I said last week "isn't it great not having to dtd this week" and got a look as if to say "oh OK so I'm not getting any this week then" haha!

2ducks - book the NY trip. Amazing city! I'd never been out of Europe but oh surprised me.with a trip for my 30th last year and at the very end (literally at the airport) - got down on one knee with a diamond he had carted around the whole trip! We had prev agreed that we wouldn't get married so I was beyond surprised but as we had agreed to start ttc'ing he thought it would be a sign of commitment to the world - I love that he wanted us to be engaged but am fed up of the "set a date yet?" questions! I'm sure those will stop when we are upduffed!!

Dolly - welcome and fx for bfp!

Charley - i know what u mean - I lunched with friends on Saturday, 3 of which have dc and 1 announced her pregnancy. Delighted for her of course but can't help wishing I was announcing mine too! Enjoy your spa day :)

I'm 10 dpo today (same as u Charley!) I caved this morning and did a test - got a bfn but I know it's early days yet and still keeping my PMA. I'm actually off work - feeling rubbish - headache, loaded with the cold, sore bobs etc. It's hard not to get carried away and think that these are early pg symptoms but I'm trying to not be as crazy symptom spotting as I have been in previous months! PMA but not crazy!

Salem - that's a great idea. FEB IS OUR MONTH LADIES! FX!

Moo31 · 30/01/2017 12:48

Hippy - that link is fab. For today it told me "Tempting, but it is still best to wait!" - if only I had checked this morning! Apparently I should wait until Saturday ... I'll probably still test on Wed anyway. So annoying having irregular cycles!

Hippychic79 · 30/01/2017 13:33

Sorry to hear about your bfn Moo - fx it is just too early... PMA all the way :)
It's really hard not to test early - we've all been there so don't beat yourself up too much.
Lovely engagement story by the way ... your oh is very romantic, love it

Just been wondering whether to do a HIT class tonight at the gym, but at 1dpo just entering the dreaded 2ww i was wondering whether going would jeopardize my chances, so I googled it (as we do) and came across an interesting article regarding the 2ww which i thought I'd share...

I've decided to do some yoga instead :)

Moo, how lovely! You're a lucky lady. We're seriously looking into it, but it would have to be October half term. What are the chances that next month we have a sticky bean and I'm 8 months pregnant at the time we're due go? Can you even fly so late in a pregnancy?
I don't want to miss out on a 'what if?' But at the same time, we couldn't afford to pay for a holiday and then not be able to go on it.

Hippychic79 · 30/01/2017 19:06

I can completely see where your coming from 2Ducks - this tTC lark is really irritating when it comes to booking holidays ... I keep thinking should we book should we not ... xxx

Love the calculator Hippy! I think it will try and distract me from POAS willy nilly and chucking £5 down the drain.

Sorry for you BFN Moo but keep thinking positively, you are probably testing too early. Test in a few days and see what happens :D FX for you! Your engagement story sounds so romantic!

Hippy what an interesting article! Although I doubt 'love to exercise' describes me! I'm terribly unfit, I wish I could have the time to do a bit of exercise but I really don't Sad. I'd like to go on walks after work but it's dark and scary outside Wink.

2ducks October is such a great time to go to NYC! Although I doubt you'd be able to fly past 36 weeks. We want to go to Paris in the April holidays but I'm worried that I might have pg sickness or other pg symptoms! I know thats daft because you shouldn't run before you walk etc. but TTC does mess with travel plans!!!!!

2DPO here and getting fed up of the 2ww! I've got quite a busy 2ww however, so I'm hoping the time will fly by!

Hope all are ok xxx

Charley2016 · 30/01/2017 20:06

Hippy good article! I think if I don't get my BFP this month (which I totally will), then I'm going to start looking at food and exercise etc.

Moo I definitely think you're just a little early. Try your best to hold out until the weekend (difficult I know!)

Baking and dolly when are you guys planning on testing? FX for you!

Salem good to keep busy, I have a busy week this week too, but next weeks quiet and I'm determined not to poas early this month!

Sorry for TMI but I felt really damp when coming home from work. So I've just got in and my CM is really thick and almost like jelly! It's very similar to what me conceive plus looked like at the start of the week, but the last time I used it was Thursday! Surely it's not been hanging around in my cervix all this time?

Dollydaydream2829 · 30/01/2017 21:52

Charley - could it just be down to the time of your cycle? My CM sometimes goes like that too a couple days after ovulation.
I'm going to try and not test unless AF doesn't show by Monday. Because I'm a bit mixed up with this cycle, I'm either due my BFP Friday or Monday so to avoid any potential disappointment, I'm gonna try and hold off. TRY being the operative word! Haha!

bakingmad83 · 30/01/2017 22:05

Sorry for your BFN Moo, hopefully the next test you do will be a BFP :)

Charley, just like Dolly I find that my CM goes thicker like that after ovulation.

Thanks for the testing link Hippychic - haven't seen a tool for when to test before. Can't really use it myself at the mo, as only had 2 periods since they came back and with the 33 day length between period 1 and 2 I should have tested on the 20th, which was when I was just getting ovulation symptoms.

I'm thinking of testing on Friday, by then it will be CD47 of this crazy long cycle. If I don't get any joy then, think I'll just leave it unless I get any strong symptoms, as don't want to become fixated with testing if my cycles are just messed up at the mo.

Charley2016 · 30/01/2017 23:03

I normally just have thick creamy white CM but this was totally different, can't really describe it! Strange!

Fingers crossed for positive tests for you ladies this week!

Hi Ladies.

Hope you're all ok and staying positive! I'm 7 days post ovulation today, and woke up yesterday with thrush. No other AF/pregnancy symptoms as of yet, but I had thrush 1 week before bfp with DS 4 years ago. Trying not to get my hopes up, but I can't really think of any other reason that I could have thrush. (I used Conceive Plus this month, but the last time was over a week ago)

Hippychic79 · 31/01/2017 12:12

Hey Archies - completely understand not wanting to get your hopes up... that said, this sounds positive - obviously not having thrush, i mean the fact that the last time you had it you got a BFP :))) When are due to test?

ArchiesMamaBird · 31/01/2017 13:30

Hippychic I'm going to try and hold off until next Tuesday I think, becuase then I'll be 14 dpo Smile

Dollydaydream2829 · 31/01/2017 13:40

Fingers crossed Archies!
I'm trying SO hard not to symptom spot or get my hopes up but I have been feeling so nauseous all day. I felt like this last month however and my af was late which was even more exciting but then came the BFN so I'm not gonna get too carried away! Still gonna hold off testing though....for a couple days at least Wink

Moo31 · 31/01/2017 13:59

Archies - that is a good sign. Fx for bfp for you! I hadn't heard of conceive plus but have just looked it up and will be ordering some if bfp doesn't appear this month.

Can I ask which (if any) conception vitamins you are all taking? I'm just taking a regular multi vitamin which has folic acid in - the doctor said this was fine but now I'm thinking something specially formulated might be better. I did have a quick look in tesco but there was more choice than I was expecting so I just left it as I was scared that the longer I hung around reading packets the more chances of someone I know seeing me!

Dolly I'm in the same boat as you - trying not to symptom spot / get hopes up but it's easier said than done isn't it!

Hippychic79 · 31/01/2017 14:39

Archies - good on you. I think its better to hold off, although i do realise this is much easier said than done :) GL keep us posted :)

Awww Dolly, try not to symptom spot, it'll drive you nuts especially as all the pg symptoms are very much like af symptoms. Again, easier said than done... says me ... 2 dpo and wondering about every little twinge down there :)

Moo - I am taking a Nutri Advanced Pregnancy Multi Essentials Vitamin recommended by my naturopath, here's the link:

www.nutriadvanced.co.uk/pregnancy-multi-essentials-30-tabs.html

this is an expensive but very credible brand.

I also take Nutri Advanced Zinc Picolinate again recommended by my naturopath.

The Cytoplan brand is also very good: Pregna Plan Supplement Is Specifically Formulated For All Stages Of Pregnancy And Breastfeeding. It's Also Suitable For Preconception Planning For Women Too.

www.cytoplan.co.uk/pregna-plan?sqr=pregnancy&

These have been recommended to me so I'm sharing the information.

Thank you hippy - very helpful! :)

ArchiesMamaBird · 31/01/2017 16:37

Moo31 me and DH are using the Pregnacare vitamins 'For Couples Trying to Conceive' and we are both taking an Omega 3 tablet daily too

Dollydaydream2829 · 31/01/2017 16:55

I know hippy! I wish we were all great at listening to our own advice! I often dish out advice to folk and think 'I should reeeeally take that on board for myself! Haha! I've just come home from work and noticed a tiny bit of dark discharge. (Sorry, TMI Blush ) So thinking it's maybe af rearing her wee ugly head early! I hope not for obvious reasons but also because then this cycle will be irregular too. And after having so many regular cycles immediately after coming off the pill, it'll probably make me start to think....

Hippychic79 · 31/01/2017 17:35

You're welcome Moo :) I think these are at the pricier end of the vitamin spectrum but make sure you get the right amount of folic acid no matter what brand you choose. I can't remember the amount you need - anyone else know off the top of their head?

Dolly- same same same - I'm the best at giving at advice but do struggle to take it so please feel free to tease me when I reach 12dpo and I'm starting to wane :)) fx it's not af my friend ... keep us posted xxx

OP posts:
Charley2016 · 31/01/2017 18:56

My folic acids are 400mg. I'm with you guys in the trying not to symptom spot but it is really difficult. I've been ok so far but I'm only 4dpo haha! Let's hope all the symptoms come to something for us all soon.

Archie's I used conceive plus this month too! How did you find it?

bakingmad83 · 31/01/2017 21:07

Moo - I'm just taking the recommended 400mg folic acid and vitamin D as breastfeeding, but you need extra of this too once you're pregnant anyway. You're probs best off avoiding a general multivitamin though, as the levels of vitamin A can be too high, as this can affect foetal development, so one tailored for conception/pregnancy is preferable.
