Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

CD22 for me today / 7 dpo .... too late to doing any more this cycle which is a shame as dtd last night (horrraaay - love the practice when I can get it, oh is often too tired) ... and too early to test. I can't bear seeing the Snow White back drop on pg tests so I'm aiming on holding out this month .. my cycles are 26-28 days ....
Good luck to everyone else trying hard not to test early
Xxx

Typed a huge message and my phone lost it..... bloody technology Hmm

Glad you both have a fresh cycle to start ladies. Hippy I'm the same, just trying to wait it out until the weekend at least. I peed on so many snowy sticks the last few cycles I'm not even sure I'd spot a faint line! I'm cd 24 but last cycles have been 28,27,26,29.

Hope you both got a decent sleep ladies. Im actually really looking forward to waking up in the middle of the night and having some quiet bonding time with a baby but I know how quickly that gets old when you're exhausted haha!

Hippychic79 · 05/02/2017 10:50

My cycles are a bit like yours Charley and I'm sure you'd recognise a squinter .... if not some of the lovely ladies on here definitely would .... I think that's why I want to wait to test ... I want to see a strong line ... some of the ones I've seen on here (not this thread) have been so faint it's unreal !

Yeah I'm strangely looking forward to sleepless nights too xxx

Good morning, everyone & welcome to all of our new members Flowers.

I had such an exciting day/night yesterday so I didn't get chance to catch up on the thread! It is my birthday in a few days so DH and I celebrated I had Krispy Kreme for breakfast...

Charley & Hippy my cycles are like yours both, too! 25/28/29 days. But (and I'm sorry I'm not being very positive here...) I feel very worried today because I've just found brown spotting when I wipe and I feel slight discomfort on my left pelvic side. I really, really, really hope that it is not AF but I can't rule that out because it is CD26 Sad. I'm not due for another few days and I am praying that it is implantation spotting but this happened last cycle on days 21,22 & 23 so I doubt that it is IS.

I hope everyone is ok today, sending positive vibes to all xxx

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 10:57

Haha yeh I think a squinted would stress me out and I'd rush to the shops and buy another 10 tests. Although I only have ICs in the house which is helping because I've read stories of people not getting BFP on those until after AF is due so feels a waste. Not sure if it's the PMA or what but I'm so more chilled this month..... I mean I'm still on MN loads but I'm not stressed or anxious about getting AF. Hoping I'm still the same if she comes. What day do you think you will test?

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 11:00

Sorry Salem I cross posted. Sorry to hear about the spotting. You're not out until AF shows though and it could easily be IB! Especially as it's later than you usual have spotting. I have my FX for you. Happy birthday when it comes. Lovely that you've had a great weekend Smile any more birthday plans?

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 11:10

Thanks Charley, I am hoping it is IB! Although, one of the main things I have learnt when TTC is not to get your hopes up!

No more birthday plans, we thought we'd celebrate it yesterday because I don't particularly have the desire (or energy!!) to celebrate on the actual week day! I did go and see Black Sabbath's final show in Birmingham last night which was amazing Smile. Thanks for asking! Have you had a good weekend?

I am toying with ordering some FRERs off Amazon today but trying to be as chilled as you are and just wait patiently for AF to not arrive!!

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 11:17

Oh wow sounds great Salem!! Always best to celebrate at the weekend I think. Was my birthday a few Tuesdays back and literally went to work then came home and sat myself all night haha! My weekends been very lazy after Thursday night out. Away to take my grandma for lunch to get me out the house. Are you thinking around Wednesday you'll be due? If you've just implanted in the last day or so you might take until then to build up enough HCG so try not to test yet if you can Wink

sarahboro1 · 05/02/2017 11:19

Wowzers you ladies have been busy!!! Taken me ages to catch up!!! Have a lovely relaxing Sunday. Xx

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 11:24

Haha sorry Sarah! This is another reason I love this thread. There's not too many of us so it least we can catch up where as the buses go so quick and too many people for me to keep track off Confused how are things going with you?

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 11:29

Charley it should be around Wednesday-Saturday that my BFP is due. It really shocks me how hard it is to differentiate between AF and PG symptoms.
Lazy weekends are the best! I hope you have a nice time with your Grandma Smile. Mine is supposed to be coming over today but I feel like I just want a lazy day myself!
How are you Sarah? It takes me ages to catch up, too! Especially if I haven't been online for a few days!

sarahboro1 · 05/02/2017 11:35

Morning charley and salem! I'm good thanks, just riding out af, looking forward to my fertile week!! 😉 Loving being on this thread, there's so much love and support! if I talked about ttc this much with hubby he'd freak I think!! Xx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 12:06

Sarah my hubby is the same. He said that I am worrying myself by coming onto MN! It's such an isolating thing (ironically!) that I feel I need to be looking on MN for advice etc.
I can't imagine what it would have been like to TTC 20 years ago, without all of this support. My Mum said when she was pg with me, she didn't even have a proper scan!

sarahboro1 · 05/02/2017 12:30

Maybe that, in a strange way, would have been easier?? I sometimes think we have so many misconceptions about how amazingly perfect we should be thanks to the media that we're all so hard on ourselves? Although googling the little things is definitely a help sometimes!! 😂 Xx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 12:45

Actually Sarah, you may just be on to something there! I suppose in the past, if you were TTC, you'd just be DTD and hoping for the best. No panicking about negative OPKs or too many peaks/ troughs on the basal chart.
I've stopped spotting now. WTF.

bakingmad83 · 05/02/2017 13:41

Sweetcheeks - I initially made it back to Edinburgh most years but haven't been back for a few years, though we were talking about going for a weekend with DS, getting the train from Carlisle.

Sarah and Charley, I'm the same, can't keep up with the busy conception threads. It was the same with the antenatal threads - think I only lasted for a couple of weeks on there when pregnant with DS :) I was also on smaller ttc#2 and ttc breastfeeding threads, but they went quiet, which was a shame, but love this one :)

Sarah and Salem, DH doesn't think I should come on to MN, especially as we've not been ttc that long, seems to think I'll read about too many probs and get disheartened by other stories of long roads ttc and assume that'll be us. But such a great outlet to support each other :)

mrsbarnettsbaby · 05/02/2017 14:52

I'm still here. Cd54. No sign of AF, no spotting, nothing. Really painful boobs still. Testing in 2 weeks if still no af. Fingers crossed everyone.

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 14:53

My dh doesn't actually know about mn Blush i work in early years management and finish my degree in May so I think he just presumes I learn all about TTC and conception from that haha!

I totally agree with thinking it would be easier in the past with not knowing things so early. So many people wouldn't even be aware of early miscarriages etc although I would probably convince myself I had symptoms forever then haha!

Salem I have a really good feeling about you Grin

sarahboro1 · 05/02/2017 15:19

Hi mrsb!! Good to hear from you again, fx you get some news either way soon. Xx

My hubby doesn't know about you ladies either!! He just thinks I'm constantly on Facebook or something!! 😂 I think it's a good thing we're here for support, even if you haven't been ttc for long baking it's good to be able to chat about our journeys but then get on with daily life on the outside. There's actually only me, hubby and you lovely lot knows we're ttc!! Xx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 15:27

Baking yes it is a great outlet for support. I enjoy reading about other people's experiences as well because I don't have any relatives/close friends who have had children so I would feel awkward asking pg things because people would be nosey.

MrsBarnett sorry to hear that, FX for you! Sore boobs is definitely a symptom!

Charley Eeee thank you! Although my Grandparents came over just and I would feel so embarrassed telling them I was upduffed! They still see me as a little girl - I am 27 ffs!

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 15:35

I think it's definitely lovely to have you all on here and not drive my dh mad. Although the secret Pinterest baby board I started yesterday dh just laughed at and pointed out some cute stuff. I was looking up cute baby announcements Blush

Salem I'm the opposite, I'm 25 but my mum/grandma/ great grandma all had kids 15-16 so they all keeping going on like there's something wrong. My great great grandma passed a few years ago and my nana is desperate to have 5 generations of girls again. I hate seeing their sad faces when I say we're not trying yet.

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 15:41

Charley That must be so lovely having so many generations. Sorry to hear about your Great Great Grandma. My Nan is fine really, but my Grandad just treats me like a child. Not that I'm complaining but I just feel a bit awkward admitting that my DH and I DTD haha! I sound so stupid.

Sarah I feel quite privileged to know! I keep talking about babies and pg to people at work (most people I know are or have been pg in the past 2 years) so they have probably cottoned on to the fact we are TTC. I don't know how I would keep my mouth shut if I ever had to wait until the 12 week scan!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 15:42

Ohhh and I forgot to mention the spotting has more or less stopped - so it isn't AF? I had this last cycle so I'm not feeling too positive but I kind of am...

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 15:47

Haha Salem i think I'll be the same with my Granda but they will all be too happy to even think about it like that Blush

I'm definitely feeling hopeful for you! How long do you think you will be able to hold off testing?
