I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

Oh no, Duchesse, I'm so sorry. It's such a sh*t feeling, no matter how many times we've been through it.

I officially declare CD1 to be spoil yourself rotten day. Whatever you want, is yours for the taking (even Colin Firth).

lissielou · 16/03/2007 08:09

lol beansprout.

duchesse · 16/03/2007 08:22

What? You mean... I can take him? Even if you've got him?

I'd been (stupidly) quite hopeful this month.

I even got the right gunk and everything, and we did everything at the right time, and I'd been feeling pregnant, down to being woken in the night feeling sick last night + metallic taste in mouth + and feeling v tired in evenings. Pretty much the lot. But no.

I think some deity somewhere is trying to tell it's time to get on with my career.

No chance at all of it being implantation bleed?

lissielou · 16/03/2007 09:14

good point sideways

beansprout · 16/03/2007 09:26

I will relinquish him from my clutches, just for you.

What's left of him anyway.

lissielou · 16/03/2007 09:27

pmsl

duchesse · 16/03/2007 09:45

Well, you've had for the best part of the last 8 weeks- there can't be much left.

I have a shoe and the remnants of a shirt, if they would be of any comfort?

LatenightOwl · 16/03/2007 14:16

Duchess - so sorry about AF - but I would still take advantage of a bit of firth no matter how much was left

As you can see, the late night drinking and chat did the trick. ladies thanks for all your support last night - it made such a difference believe me. Anyway got a call at 8am this morning to say egg had divided and was now 3 cells and by the time we got to the clinic it had gone to 5 so I afforded myself 5 mins of happiness before the egg transfer. It is now safely back with me - although who knows it may have been safer in the incubater. Anyway now on the dreaded 2 ww - testing 28 March. Thanks again for your kind words and heres some chocs and a few bottles of bubbly to enjoy this weekend with a toast to the Hut.

Cryptonomicon · 16/03/2007 14:17

Well done egg . Everything crossed for you here!!

LatenightOwl · 16/03/2007 16:43

thanks folks - but mustnt forget we are in the hut - too much celebration will cause others to run. Sorry to have disrupted your ambience for a mo.. will leave a bag of cream eggs on the bar for a late night snack curtesy of LNO...and the drinks are on me tonight.

Impatience · 16/03/2007 17:07

Nestle on in there little LateNightEgg

Was the transfer OK - not too uncomfortable? Are you now able to lie around all weekend and be waited on? I think you should!

feedmenow · 16/03/2007 17:22

Thanks LNO, and everything crossed for you (I can afford to do that on CD24!!) Am imagining all sorts of things for you now (to do with dividing, safe, secure & comfy egg, not to do with me crossing my legs!) but don't want to put anything in writing incase I jinx anything......but everything crossed none-the-less!

eclipse · 16/03/2007 18:25

Great news LatenightOwl. Hopefully our continuing enjoyment of late night drinking will carry on working its magic.

duchesse · 16/03/2007 19:44

Sorry, LatenightOwl- I am really happy for you, and am crossing everything possible for your little bundle of cells.

I just need to vent:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

agree with impatience

duchesse.... why argh?

beansprout · 16/03/2007 21:23

Lissie - D's period fecking well turned up today.

duchesse · 16/03/2007 21:33

Not just that, although probably mainly that (am not very in tune with my inner being at the moment)

My neighbour said he wouldn't, after all, rent us an acre of his many 100s, and gave me some trumped up excuse. This means I can't extend my mini zoo in any way to include the coveted alpacas, and makes me feel rather trapped on our acre and a half (I never said it reasonable frustration). I am feeling like wrecking hedges (please see disclaimer in brackets above) to increase our surface area.

I gave 14 (7 weeks ago) + 28 eggs (3 weeks ago) to my neighbour to incubate. I earmarked 12 of the second batch to increase my flock. 8 of the first batch of 14 hatched successfully. About 18 of the second batch- except out of my 12, only 2 hatched. Even my bloody hens are sodding barren!

I daresay I shall have some perspective on this tomorrow, but the moment it seems that my sublimated breeding programme is being thwarted at every turn. There better be a good reason, I tell you.

Still only spotting. Not usual for me, no. Fully expect bastard period to start properly tomorrow.
