I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

ah, have scared you all away with my whining...

feedmenow · 15/03/2007 16:50

Can't scare us lot away for long Beckle!

I haven't been in cos I've been busy, nothing to do with being happy!!

I am soooooo premenstrual you wouldn't believe it....really craving choccie, and even biscuits - which isn't normally my thing - so imagine that this period will be a big un'!! Not even gonna bother with the "could I be/couldn't I be" debate this month cos only 1 shag pre-mid cycle and 1 shag post-mid cycle. Not that it doesn't make me miserable as sin knowing that, but I just don't see the point in getting up any sort of hope with such low odds So I guess I too should effectively be joining you others on the 6ww!!

lissielou · 15/03/2007 18:06

ive been lurking too. got docs in less than a week. god it seems to have flown by!

beansprout · 15/03/2007 20:20

Sooo glad you are all here!! And a special hut welcome to Sunshinedays.

Thanks for reassuring me about the gunk levels. I have been quoffing the grapefruit juice this month, but am but an amateur as I don't really know what I am doing. Having been drinking a glass a day since CD10 and, as banged on about, seem to be having a gunkless month. Can anyone tell me just what I am supposed to be doing.

Am a bit bored, so I think I might start a thread on OPKs and see how long it takes Attila to post! I think she must have a similar radar to the Met. Police in the 1980's who used to swing into action if they heard the word "semtex" in an Irish accent. But I digress....

seaside72 · 15/03/2007 20:29

PMSL beansprout!
Previously I have made a giant meerkat head-shaped light beam (about 10000w) and when I turn it on it shines in the sky and Atilla comes to our aid!! Like Batman in Gotham city!! But with hindsight maybe just the slightest mention of opk is more efficient!

beansprout - with the grapefruit juice, aren't we supposed to have a glass a day from CD1 until ov.

No more than 1 glass a day though as it creates an acid atmosphere and sperm prefer an alkaline environment. Fussy little buggers.

lissielou · 15/03/2007 21:48

never happy are they

ammylovesolivia · 15/03/2007 22:30

Is attilla an OPK expert? I've seen a few of her posts and they tend to read the same

lissielou · 15/03/2007 22:34

WHAT IS OPK?

seaside72 · 15/03/2007 22:39

Ovulation Predictor Kit

lissielou · 15/03/2007 22:40

ah, sorry for shouting too.

LatenightOwl · 15/03/2007 22:43

Do you mean Attilathemeerkat - I mentioned DHEA tablets and she swooped down really quick - like an exocet missile.........

LatenightOwl · 15/03/2007 22:47

folks I know I should be happy but Im really sad , Im going through my first cycle of IVF at the grand age of 44 and they managed to retrieve 4 eggs yesterday but today they rang to say only one has fertilised. I guess I was hoping for more - and shouldnt be greedy.. but they also said that we were to go tomorrow for the egg transfer, but only after they phone just incase it didnt divide tonight. I can't sleep just thinking of poor egg in lab and here I am willing it to divide and it isnt even in my body yet. I really do admire those people who put themselves through this loads of times - they must be such strong characters. Are any virtual drinks being shared tonight???

lissielou · 15/03/2007 22:51

i'll drink with you for a bit.

oh honey, it must be awful!

StrangeTown · 15/03/2007 23:01

Hi Latenightowl,
Do you know, I'm so niave, I never really even thought about what is involved with IVF. I just think of it a kind of magic process there for us if we need it. The reality sounds so much more complex, stressful and physical.
I hope you don't have too much of a stressful and sleepless night ahead - my very best wishes for tomorrow. Divide, divide!

LatenightOwl · 15/03/2007 23:01

thanks lissie - whats your tipple?? I think I'll just stay on the red wine tonight( i think it has medicinal properties )

I must try and think positive but its sooooooo difficult.

seaside72 · 15/03/2007 23:01

fingers crossed for you and your egg Latenight - divide, divide divide little egg!!

Would love to stay and get sloshed but can't keep my eyes open and am off to bed - sorry for being a lightweight!

(seaside slides a bottle of baileys across the floor before exiting)

LatenightOwl · 15/03/2007 23:05

Believe me Strangetown, after the embryologist rang today I was trying to find out how she knew the difference between a fertilised egg and a dud one and when do they divide - I wish I had listened to that part when in Biology at school..! seems a bit late to take an interest.

I thought IVF would be more intefering but quick and clinical - big no on that one. I cant believe how naive Ive been about all of this (glugs down glass of wine and quickly fills up again) - anyone for a glass?

eclipse · 15/03/2007 23:05

LatenightOwl,
Just called in for a quick drink before bed. I'll help to will the little cells to get busy overnight. Can't imagine the stress of IVF and you're more than excused for propping up the bar overnight. And hi to Lissielou too.

LatenightOwl · 15/03/2007 23:06

Thanks seaside - I think I'll try some baileys too - what the hell- and lissie maybe you could put me in touch with that witchdoctor on ebay? was that you who was making the recommendations?

beansprout · 16/03/2007 07:10

Wishing you a divided egg Latenightowl

lissielou · 16/03/2007 07:28
