I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

I was too happy to post here yesterday.
feeling down again, as I've now started the dreaded 2WW.
BTW I never had any implantation bleeding when I was pg, how common is it?

lissielou · 02/03/2007 07:49

some women have it others dont. its not massively common tho! dh wont even come near me til my periods been and gone.

Impatience · 02/03/2007 09:37

Sideways, you're right that it's meant dp and I have been able to keep sex for it's own sake rather than another job to be done. Our situation is a whole bag of mixed blessings.

plummymummy · 02/03/2007 12:17

lissie, my husband's not that fussy At least you get a break

duchesse · 02/03/2007 13:40

I know this is the countryside, but really... Went up to see my neighbour earlier,, and he asked me if I was "expecting" as he'd heard rumours!!! (!) Everyone knows everyone else's business, it's incredible. Anyway his bleeding wife is pregnant again- 4th! Due in August.

I am miserbale, really fecking miserable! I would try and cut a long story short but can't really, so here goes the whole damn thing.
After I had my coil removed in prep for ttc I noticed some off things going on with my vag, namely some "fanny farting" experiences and some occasional watery discharge and a faint odour. Anyway, was booked for an appt at my local GUM clinic (which I find far nicer than my GPs)for an MOT. Anyway, then found out I was pg and thought 2 things, 1. there can't be much wrong if I'm pg and 2. they wouldn't be able to do much if there was anything wrong cos I'm pg! So stupidly carried on with life. So then in Jan I m/c and quite obviously looked for something to blame. Was pretty much mostly over that but it has now all come flooding back! I finally went to GUM clininc today cos I have been aware, again, of symptoms. The doctor there did all the swabs saying everything looked normla, but after looking under the microscope told me I have BV (Bacterial Vaginosis for anyone unfamiliar with this infection!) which, it turns out, is linked to m/c or prem babies. My first though was "but if I already had it when I got pg then there wasn't anything I could have done". I then read the leaflet she gave me which fantastically informed me that it is easily treatable in pg. So now I'm torturing myself that if only I'd gone to that appt a week after finding out I was pg then I might never have m/c. I know it is still a big "what if", but ts still a "what if" and has just returned me right back to the beginning.....

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:10

you poor thing, am sure its not your fault. 1 in 4 pg end in mc. big big hugs - sorry if haven't cheered you up much xxx

feedmenow · 02/03/2007 17:13

Thanks Beckle, but you aren't allowed to do a whole lot of cheering in here!
Offer me a large glass of jamaican White Rum and that'll be fine though!
Was meant to start antibiotics tonight but am going to hold off til tomorrow so i can get wankered tonight to commiserate with myself!

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:16

came in here cos feeling miserable too, had rubbish appt with consultant today left me feeling a bit down - sort of pales into comparison next to your post tho feedmenow. at least you know you can get pg and so will again x

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:16

hehe! don't blame you - make mine a very very large glass of red!

feedmenow · 02/03/2007 17:30

What was your appointment for?

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:34

dodgy cycle - always had one but had nasty mc last year and since then it been really awful - was hoping for some tablets to help it all (have had them before) but he wants MORE bloods taken on first day of next period - trouble is I could wait months for that!

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:34

bought myself a massive bag of mini eggs to cheer myself up!

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:35

are you ttc your first or do you have one/some already?

feedmenow · 02/03/2007 17:41

I love that..."do you have some already?" Yes, I have some already, 1 dd and 1 ds but no. 3 has been a loooong time in the planning. Also, both dd and ds were 2pleasant surprises" so had kind of expected no. 3 woul dbe easy to conceive and easy to carry, etc. Oh well, lifes a shit and then you........any suggestions anyone???
When I just read your post the words 'dodgy cycle' caught my eye but I thought it said 'doggy style'!!!!! Maybe I need to get my eyes checked!

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:45

pmsl! am new on here - know no one yet! have 2 DSs, had mc before first DS and he didn't take to long - second took 18 months. Last took only 6 weeks (!) but then mc - now been ttc since nov - no luck tho, grr...

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 17:45

want to be pg now - DSs 6 and 4 and don't want totally enormous gap with next (and definately last) one.

feedmenow · 02/03/2007 18:26

God, am STUPID moo! Have been reading stuff about implantation bleeds and thought there was a v. slim possibility that my v. light bleed the other week might NOT have been a period. Anyway, had some ebay pg tests so did one a little earlier which I dropped in the pee. When I fished it out I put it straight in the bin cos it was soggy, etc. Then had a glance at it later and saw a faint 2nd line! Shock horror! Immediately did another only to plainly and blatantly get a BFN! Am actually laughing at myself cos of my desperation
Although will probably be wailing later (and hurling if my alcohol consumption tonight goes according to plan.....)

becklespeckle · 02/03/2007 18:29

wonder why they do that? dropped a clearblue down the loo while testing and when fished it out there were 2 faint lines, all excited rushed out to get another - BFN. Needless to say I now use ebay ones (with a clearblue in the drawer to double check if I ever get a BFP)

plummymummy · 02/03/2007 22:49

feedmenow try not to feel guilty as it's impossible most of the time to say what causes a m/c. What you've described sounded quite similar to something I've had since my m/c. I've booked a smear this month - would it show up there or should I go to a GU clinic? I hate going to those places in case I bump into any of my patients!

feedmenow · 03/03/2007 10:53

Plummy, the doctor at the clinic told me not to go for a smear until the BV had cleared up, so I assume the BV could effect the smear and therefore be picked up. But maybe you should tell the GP your suspicions beforehand....
And although I KNOW my lack of action may well not have had anything to do with the m/c, I just can't help but feeling at least partially/potentially responsible. It's just the fact that I was due to go but never did.......oh well, I guess I'll never know...
And to top it off, yet another pg announcement in my circle of friends! My BF called me this morning to tell me cos she wanted to be the one to let me know....Ho hum

lissielou · 03/03/2007 15:23

oh god, wtf is wrong with me. watching superman and just had a sob at the baby flying thru space all alone!

feedmenow, i know how easy it is to blame yourself but you cant sweetheart. youll drive yourself nuts!

cityangel · 04/03/2007 01:02

Officially hoping to join hut of doom... miserable as sin and had enough of false hope. I know there's nobody here now so I could just post misery all night or go to bed and dream it instead.

Catbabymummy · 04/03/2007 06:26

You know what they say, misery loves company. You'll get plenty in here...

plummymummy · 04/03/2007 19:15

Thanks feedmenow, since the painters are still in and painting industriously at that, I will have to wait til they've gone to see if the symptoms are still there. It's good to know about though, so thanks for the info. I don't know if it's the same thing you had but it would defo be good to rule it out esp due to the associated risks.
