I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

Tell him no nookie until he stops drinking. I know it kind of defeats the purpose, but he'll cave very quickly I reckon.

My test results re hypothyroid came back today. Because my TSH levels on the day the blood was taken 2.5 weeks ago were down within normal limits, they're not going to treat me. Bugger.

duchesse · 28/02/2007 19:21

I say "within normal", but still relatively high TSH. Even the constultant told me my TSH should be 1-2 oodjamifligs per litre to sustain a healthy pregnancy, yet she is prepared to leave me untreated with a level of 4.4.

Soreheart, tell him that if you can't get quality spunk from him then you'll just be forced to go elsewhere. Then check out www.kissmybutler.co.uk!!
Although I'm a fine one to talk....having told dp to watch the beer and fags for a couple of weeks (ie, lots of sex coming up!) we got intimate last night only to end up with him "having a stitch" and not finishing the job, so to speak!
P.S. I LOVE the profanity generator!

duchesse · 28/02/2007 22:12

Soreheart- if they are synchronised, then I am doing my usual thing of NOT doing what everyone else does, as I'm slap-bang (as it were) in the middle of ftc.

Once again, 6 days PO I have brown spotting. This has happened quite often lately, and I always think Hooray! Implantation! And then 10 days later the vicious period bitch chuckles her wicked cackle. Anyone, any ideas what this means: Is this something to worry about?

sideways · 01/03/2007 09:47

Impatience, sorry to hear that. Just been looking at the March thread and plummymummy has had spotting 10 days before her period is due, red though.

Someone also said on there that implantation bleed is usually a full week before period is due.

Not much help to you really though, but someone on there may be able to give you more advice.

I had some spotting yesterday, expecting the full works tonight or in the morning.

sideways · 01/03/2007 09:48

Sorry, meant plummy had spotting 4 days before she's due.

scorpio1 · 01/03/2007 09:51

implantation bleeding-

bleeding is usually bright red and of short duration.takes place 8-12 days after fertilisation, and it usually occurs just before the menstual period is due (4 days ish).

with help from my midwifery textbooks!

HTH

sideways · 01/03/2007 09:55

scorpio - thanks for that!

Impatience - got myself a bit confused there, just ignore me

Impatience · 01/03/2007 10:19

Now I just don't know! Some sites say implantation can be brown (tick), be accompanied by cramping (tick) and anything from 5dpo (tick). Others more like 4 days pre period. Oh well, guess I just need to wait it out AGAIN.

plummymummy · 01/03/2007 12:39

Mine is red. Have cramping (mild)and feels just like a period, which is what I am treating it as. Had 3 glasses of wine last night to commiserate.

plummymummy · 01/03/2007 12:40

Good luck impatience

Juicylucytoo · 01/03/2007 16:32

Just to let you know - I had implantation bleeding at 6 weeks. It was brown and light (in nature not colour). Lasted about 4 days.
I had this with a missed mc and with my 2nd(now 27 week / hopefully successful)pregnancy.

No other bleeding since then.

HTH.

sideways · 01/03/2007 16:35

Officially CDfucking1 now.

At least it's nearly the weekend so I can drink lots of wine tonight.

sideways · 01/03/2007 16:36

Hi juicy - glad to hear you are doing ok

plummymummy · 01/03/2007 16:39

sorry sideways juicylucy good to hear your 2nd pg is going well.

Juicylucytoo · 01/03/2007 16:41

Sideways - doing just fine. Eating chocolate like it's going out of fashion. Drink some wine for me hun - soooo missing getting squiffy at the weekends

So cool that you have this thread. Wish it'd been around when I was ttc.

Juicylucytoo · 01/03/2007 16:45

Thanks Plummy. So far so good.

sideways · 01/03/2007 16:56

I will have a glass for you Juicy.

Don't miss getting squiffy - I would much rather be 27 wks pregnant than cracking open a bottle.

Impatience · 01/03/2007 17:16

Juicy, I'll have a glass for you too! All us FTCers can get wasted on your behalf

You know, I don't believe for a moment that this could be implantation or that if it is that it will lead to a healthy pg: I just assume that it is something a bit wrong. It's sad that I'm now so pessimistic about this whole malarky.

sideways · 01/03/2007 17:39

It is sad, impatience, but I guess we just keep going.

I was thinking earlier about how lucky you are in that you still get to have sex with your dp because you want to and not out of duty. I know the whole ttc thing is more complicated for you, but at least you can keep it separate and you and your partner never have to think "oh God, another duty shag".

Or am I talking bollocks again?

plummymummy · 01/03/2007 21:35

Sometimes I do duty shags even when I'm not ttc. Now how's that for controversial

duchesse · 01/03/2007 21:49

Me too. When one has no libido to speak of, one almost has to...

OP posts:
plummymummy · 01/03/2007 21:58

Yes female loss of libido is not taken seriously. Makes me when doctors on my ward ask male patients whether they have experienced loss of libido or erectile dysfunction but don't bother to ask female patients. Oh well, we are just receivers after all.

lissielou · 02/03/2007 07:22

hi all, anyone watch corrie last night? even the fecking dog was knocked up! why are we being tortured??? agree about the libido. nothing kills your sex life like ftc.
