It's that time of the month again. The dreaded two week wait. 3rd month of trying and 1st month using ovulation kits.

Last month I convinced myself I was pregnant and obviously wasn't so trying not to do that this month.

Finding the whole process very draining to be honest. DH and I don't have very high sex drives. We're normally once a week people and are both fine with that. So having to do the deed when neither of us really want to is not as fun as I'd hoped! But we managed 3 times in ovulation week this month so fingers crossed.

Anyone else want a 2ww buddy? Smile

That's charley ! Yes let's hope for lots of festive babies ! I just overthink things cause me and my hubby have left it late 36 and 43 !

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 09:27

Plenty people have had babies a lot later. I'm sure you will be completely fine Smile my hubby is 35 in a few weeks. Hopefully we'll all have a lovely relaxed Christmas with wine and all the foods we're not allowed, forget to pee on all the sticks and get some lovely surprises! Halo

user1471496670 · 01/12/2016 10:18

Only first month for me so I've got no right to feel disappointed really. Sorry 36, we are 38 and 40 so I have the same concerns as you about leaving it late. Sad
Away with DP for the night tonight to see a band, then flying to Europe for a girls weekend on Saturday and several Xmas Parties through the rest of the month so just going to eat, drink and be merry, and cross my fingers for next month x

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 13:11

Goodness user you would of had to have a lot of excuses for not drinking all those days! Fingers crossed for you after Xmas though Smile last month was my first proper month trying and I was so upset! I convinced myself I was and had all the symptoms so this month I've done my OPK but that's it. Not putting in symptoms or CM in to my Ovia app as it just made me a bit insane... also now I think that because I didn't the first month, I've now though well I'm not one of the lucky ones and it might take a while so I actually feel much less stressed this month! Although I'm only just ovulating so I may be totally neurotic again by next week hahaha!

2ducks2ducklings · 01/12/2016 13:52

36plus- you haven't jinxed anything! I did the same thing, though mine wasn't a toy, it was a whole bloody vintage pram!!! We fell pregnant within the first month of 'not, not trying' but it was all over within two weeks and I did briefly think that I'd jinxed it all.
I'm not going to lie, there have been some lows this past couple of weeks, but today I feel like my old self again. I've got my Christmas jumper on, put the Christmas tree up in my office and played Christmas songs all day long. I'm waiting to physically to get back to normal and I'm super excited to get back on that bus and start ttc again.
To be honest, this is such a busy month I think everyone who have had BFN's or for who things haven't got to plan, will be too busy to dwell in the shiftiness of the situation for too long.
Next month is another month, with a whole lot of fun to be had in the meantime. Chin up ladies! We've got this!!

2ducks2ducklings · 01/12/2016 13:53

That should have said shittiness, not shiftiness! Bloody autocorrect, who does she think she is?!

lilyborderterrier · 01/12/2016 14:49

Definitely not my month so this December I going have fun relax and have a few drinks, that's how I fell pregnant with my first in 2012 when I was 34, now 38 and 40 ( oh) but ditching the child at Grandparents and off to Manchester this weekend to watch The Pixies and hit the shops.

Have a good month ladies and congratulations to those who are "Knocked up " Grin

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 20:59

What a difference half a day makes Confused

2 week wait - again!
Kskifred · 01/12/2016 22:29

yeah it can make a lot of difference, better get to dtd as you may still have a small time window if you have recently ov'd!

flymo79 · 01/12/2016 23:11

Lily and 36... I'm 38 too and ttc number two. Have been since Aug.
Enjoy the pixies!!! Am a teensy bit well jel!

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 23:38

We've done sat, mon, tue, wed and tonight so fingers crossed. Although I'm not optimistic or getting my hopes up this monthConfused

charley2016 · 02/12/2016 07:53

Ok ladies I'm really confused now.... woke this morning with stabbing pains in my left ovary area of my stomach. I thought I was maybe actually feeling ovulation (haven't noticed this before, normally just get back pain at either side). I've just been to the toilet and there was a streak of very bright blood when I wiped! Now worried that I haven't actually ovulated and all my BD has been for nothing! Sad

bassetmum · 02/12/2016 08:33

Charley some people do get bleeding with ovulation. It would be a very short cycle if af was starting already yeah?

charley2016 · 02/12/2016 08:47

Yeh I'm only CD14, which is when i normally ovulate so thought everything was right on track. Was just that one little streak and nothing since, pain has stopped too Confused

charley2016 · 02/12/2016 08:56

Hmm just done another OPK and got this..... which is strange as it was just a squinted last night after my positive in the morning...

2 week wait - again!
KeplerYellow · 02/12/2016 10:34

Hi can I join? Currently on my first 2ww and it's kind of caught me off guard how all consuming this ttc business is! Currently on cd19 and wondering how early I can take a test? Is it better to wait and see if I'm late before testing?

ringroads · 02/12/2016 10:43

Charley a little bleed with ovulation can happen, it means your fertile so get doing the deed!!

2ducks2ducklings · 02/12/2016 14:00

Kepler- yes! Wait! If at all possible, wait. I know that's easier said than done, but you'll drive yourself mad if you test super early!

charley2016 · 02/12/2016 15:26

Eek fingers crossed! We DTD sat, mon, tue, wed, thur..... Said I wouldn't get excited or symptom spot this month, lets see how long that lasts haha!

Kepler try not test, although if you're the type of person who POAS all the time like me then you will regardless haha!

Kskifred · 02/12/2016 21:55

Been pretty cranky since yesterday and teary. Also think i'm coming down with cold, feeling pretty rough. Oh and thirsty, not sure if that's from getting ill though. I was debating whether to have a glass of wine with my sister tomo but decided i can't put life on hold just yet so will be enjoying one with a long overdue catch up x

charley2016 · 02/12/2016 22:16

Are you about 6dpo now? Don't stress, have a wine Wine I've just had a bottle of red! Enjoy Xmas Wink

charley2016 · 03/12/2016 00:30

My OPKs are still positive... surely shouldn't still be after 40hrs? Worrying I haven't ovulated now and my body's just being strange Confused

Kskifred · 03/12/2016 07:43

are they definitely still as dark as control line?

Yes i'm gonna have some wine - i would only be annoyed if af shows and i was boring all xmas month!

Yep i'm about 6dpo now, still quite cranky and sore which is unusual but we will see i guess x

charley2016 · 03/12/2016 10:08

It was very slightly lighter, but it's gone this morning Smile just hoping that the egg didn't take so long that we missed it.....

Yeh I'm the same with the drinking! Until I get a positive I'm just going to act as normal, like you say if it's negative we'd be annoyed. I also don't want family to see me not drinking, assume I'm pregnant and start asking, and then it turns out I'm not! When do you think you will test?

flymo79 · 04/12/2016 22:32

Hmmm, cd34 here, af two days late, have poas for two days now and all bfn. Boo. Trying not to symptom spot but have sore boobs and had some stinging cramps the other night that have now gone away
