2 week wait - again!

It's that time of the month again. The dreaded two week wait. 3rd month of trying and 1st month using ovulation kits.

Last month I convinced myself I was pregnant and obviously wasn't so trying not to do that this month.

Finding the whole process very draining to be honest. DH and I don't have very high sex drives. We're normally once a week people and are both fine with that. So having to do the deed when neither of us really want to is not as fun as I'd hoped! But we managed 3 times in ovulation week this month so fingers crossed.

Anyone else want a 2ww buddy? Smile

MissLouise123 · 29/11/2016 17:02

Hi ladies.. in 18 years old and currently having a little problem I'm hoping someone can help me with. I haven't had a period for 41 days and now 2 weeks late for my period me and my parter has sex 3 weeks ago ... I took a pregnancy test a week ago and yesterday at the doctors and it came back negative. Late periods aren't very uncommon for me however this time just feels really different. I also am being tested for endometriosis. Should I assume it's just late because that's how I am or is there a chance I can be pregnant(I really want to be)

Kskifred · 29/11/2016 19:40

wanting oooh testing time!!

36plusandtrying · 30/11/2016 08:37

Period due tomorrow - no other symptoms other than being exhausted and generally feeling a bit sick ! Wish me luck all, have been able to resist the urge to test as yet but curiosity might get the better of me tonight !

WantingBaby1 · 30/11/2016 09:04

So I tested, twice. BFP both times! I can barely believe it!

blackcherries · 30/11/2016 09:16

charley2016 · 30/11/2016 19:32

Yay congrats wanting, amazing news!!!

Ladies, do any of you use IC OPKs? I used asda last month just for 5 days. They got a little darker the two days before I got my blazing positive. I'm using the cheapies this month and think I should ovulate on Friday, however just tested and there's still basically nothing. Do they just go from squinted to dark on the day? Or do they normally get darker over a few days like the asda ones did?

Kskifred · 30/11/2016 20:32

charley think everyone is different, but i used ICs this month and had nothing until CD12, when I got a faint line, then the next day a dark as control line, then nothing again by CD14, so it was short and sharp for me, but i know lots of others have faint lines throughout their cycle which must be hard to pinpoint sometimes x

charley2016 · 30/11/2016 20:49

Thanks kski! They are ridiculously faint so hopefully I'll just get the surge tomorrow or Friday. I'll maybe do two a day just for the next few days. We're trying to DTD everyday in the fertile window this time but I'm bloody exhausted haha! Counting down the days just so I can get a rest Grin

Kskifred · 30/11/2016 21:14

haha know what you mean! Me and dp aren't naturally at it like rabbits so I can relate to wanting the rest!

Yes I forgot to say twice a day whilst you can see a faint line, in AM it was faint but definitely darker when tested again in the evening x

user1471496670 · 30/11/2016 23:40

That's me officially out! AF just started in full flow during sex Blush

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 07:51

I never realised how tiring it was! We only have sex 2-3 times a week now as im out in the morning by 8 and hubby doesn't get home until 10pm. Sod's law that my ovulation days land during the week!

Sorry to hear about AF user. New month, new opportunity to try though. How long have you been trying.

My DH woke up this morning and asked if I feel pregnant yet.... I've not even ovulated yet! Think he's going to be more excited than me this month. I think I'll go back to not telling him when I'm ovulating haha!

Kskifred · 01/12/2016 07:56

Sorry af got you user, but yes new month new oppprtunity and glass of Wine to be enjoyed this weekend now Smile

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 08:30

Just did another OPK and got this so maybe Ovia is actually right this month and I'll ovulate tomorrow/Saturday

2 week wait - again!
36plusandtrying · 01/12/2016 08:37

Hi all - I'm out ! Period here in full force. At least I got to have a wine at lunch Sad and won't need to pretend to drink on my Christmas night out. But the truth is I'm bitterly disappointed and trying to put a brave face on it. Any advice ?

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 08:53

Oh sorry to hear Sad try to enjoy Christmas! Keep yourself busy and as difficult as it is, try to relax. I know it's always easier said than done but every months a new month xx

36plusandtrying · 01/12/2016 08:57

That was my husband exact words as I came home crying from work. The annoying think is I bought my first little baby thing (a cute little toy while were on holiday earlier this week) now I feel like I've cursed myself Sad

charley2016 · 01/12/2016 09:10

Aw you haven't cursed anything. I'm sure it will happen, just try not to stress about it. I'm hoping this month will be so busy for everyone that we will all stop stressing as much, enjoy ourselves and then got some lucky surprises in the new year x
