2 week wait - again!

It's that time of the month again. The dreaded two week wait. 3rd month of trying and 1st month using ovulation kits.

Last month I convinced myself I was pregnant and obviously wasn't so trying not to do that this month.

Finding the whole process very draining to be honest. DH and I don't have very high sex drives. We're normally once a week people and are both fine with that. So having to do the deed when neither of us really want to is not as fun as I'd hoped! But we managed 3 times in ovulation week this month so fingers crossed.

Anyone else want a 2ww buddy?

I've been ttc this time round for 9 months now and basically have "had symptoms" loads of months and obviously they don't mean 'pregnant' so I have become really wary of symptom-spotting. With my first pregnancy I thought I had extra heavy period symptoms with some spotting, plus sore boobs which I never usually have - at the time I thought they were signs that I definitely wasn't pg!
I've even had the sore-ish boobs a couple of months ago but no luck.

As for testing, the sight of a BFN now makes me really sick/upset so I try not to unless I really have reason to think it's a possibility (like last month when I was a week late and had two BFNs). I also, very irrationally, equate it with opening the oven door while you're cooking - best to just wait so it doesn't hinder the process!

Lol I like that one blackcherries!!! I try not to get my hopes up each month as the disappointment is too great. Sounds like we've been ttc for the same length of time although this is my first. Fx it won't take us much longer. Xx

I'm out, again. Not sure I can do this much longer it's so hurtful. I asked my OH if he would go get some tests done but he's not too keen. Anyone else's OH been and how did it go? Xx

sarahboro OH is getting tested this week. It's the least they can do tbh, ask if he'd like any of the scans or tests we get subjected to...

I know, but we are the stronger sex to be fair!! 😆 I've asked him to think about it, I think he's worried/ scared there's something wrong so he wouldn't be able to give me a baby. 😏

I'm at the "going crazy" part of the 2ww, 10dpo today and BFN on an internet cheapie. Must not test again until Sunday!!!!

Well i don't know, from my post on Saturday about my period coming 5 days early, googling implantation bleeding but then discounting it as I though it was too heavy. I'm not too sure as the bleeding stopped after a day.
I've no other symptoms but I might just take a test on Wednesday when I'm due.

Sure I'm probably not and another month passes but maybe ?

Lily I am in completely the same conundrum. What I thought was af Thursday/Friday I am not sure is. It was lighter than my normal af, lighter flow completely. My cramps were unlike my normal cramps. My af was due on Saturday. My normal af lasts for three days with 2-3 days of spotting afterwards. My boobs are still sore and feeling huge and i have a massive spot on my chin which normally disappear once af started. Hmmm do I test or not.

Wanting when is/was af due?

mrsg I keep testing! I am making sure I don't test until Saturday now, I just can't stop myself! Although really feel like it's not my cycle this time after my mc everyone said don't worry you'll get pregnant really quickly everyone does, I took it as truth but I'm still waiting! X

Hi Everyone

I am in the 2nd round of actively ttc our second child now, and have begun the 2 week wait. We have technically taken a relaxed approach to ttc prior to this (ie no contraception) for about a year but I've only been charting my cycle with OPKs for 2 months. I've always been very aware of my cycle, it was really short up until the summer after having my son (23 days) so think I have a short luteal phase also. This has got longer though I'm pleased to say, I think helped by better diet and exercise and cycle now lasts 26 days. OPK tested positive days 13/14, currently 2 DPO so early stages of the tww. I too get really obsessed with testing so need to calm it down!

Any BFPs yet?

used a cheap £2 "sure sign ultra early" (15mlU) with second urine of day (held for 8hrs as busy in work)
afraid to get hopes up incase it doesnt stick as seems to have happened too easily, off mini pill 1 month & already got bfp? also bought frer 2pack @ £8 but will keep those for next week

Hi, please can I join? First month ttc number 3, on CD9. I was ok for the first part of the 2ww but now I'm into the second week I am symptom spotting. I have no pregnancy tests in the house otherwise I would probably have poas by now.

Af due Saturday, but I've got a Christmas party so will test Friday to see if I can drink or not.

Well my boobs are absolutely killing and I've started spotting so AF on the way...
I know it's only month one but still can't help feeling a tiny bit disappointed. Silly really. Onwards and upwards!

Sorry af got you user. And not at all, it is disappointing if you are trying and it hasn't worked out, i was the same last cycle, this is our 2nd serious ttc cycle

i have no idea when af is/was due as was on mini pill & was irregular. last period on pill was mid oct, finished mini pill on 29th oct. according to opk hit peak/surge on 16th. dtd 12th/13th/14th/17th so guessing if all goes well then due mid august? have been feeling rotten & got a horrible cough too. afraid to tell dp until dr confirms it next week. he was convinced it was guna happen quickly & i convinced him it was unlikely so as we could start trying asap as i wanted to have dc2 as close to the summer as poss nx year to reuse all dc1 old clothes provided we have the same gender again
