Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hurrah skip great news Smile

Our other skip fxskip hasn't been around for while? Are you with us? Hope all is well

Still no AF. I'm nipping to the loo every ten mins! Boobs so sensitive and got this kind of heartburn / indigestion feeling going on in my chest and throat. 14 DPO is torture!

WingingIt83 · 13/10/2016 13:14

I'm willing a bpf on you jem. Our stats are very similar (did I read you're 33 in dec? Me too! ) so I think you'll give me hope that it is physically possible after all! 😅

Mooseville · 13/10/2016 13:18

jem got everything crossed for you!!!!

Musicgrrl · 13/10/2016 13:48

FX Jem and any other testers!

MouseLove · 13/10/2016 13:50

Jem, what CD are you? Have you tested at all??

Starmist · 13/10/2016 14:02

FX Jem

Skip that sounds good. So did you book a double appointment for the 2 of you to go together? I've been told to go to GP in November if nothing by then.

InspectorPenguin · 13/10/2016 14:21

Jem I'm sending so many BFP vibes your way, I have a very good feeling about it being your month. Everything crossed!!

LondonJem · 13/10/2016 14:28

Thanks so much I am trying not to cry you're all so sweet. I'm very very hormonal Confused

I'm CD30, my average cycle is 29 days. Pink Pad says period is due today Hmm

Very very sensitive boobs and heartburn / indigestion in my chest and throat still. No period pain at all Shock my hopes are well and truly up and I'm terrified Confused

Mooseville · 13/10/2016 14:33

I don't know how you're holding out. I'd be ripping open the FRER a day late, just to put my mind at rest one way or the other!

WantingBaby1 · 13/10/2016 14:36

Second opinions please! Is it possible to ovulate on CD11? I don't kbow how long my cycles are but can make out a very faint second line on my ovulation stick. Surely too early?

Thread 19 TTC#1 Just. Keep. Swimming.
WingingIt83 · 13/10/2016 14:43

wanting a positive opk is when the second line is as dark or darker than the control line. I get a faint line at most points in my cycle.

sk1pper · 13/10/2016 14:44

jem - how exciting, I really hope we're about to get another BFP. Will you test tomorrow if no show?

star - yes we had a dual appointment, it just makes it easier for them as they have to reel off form after form after form. The first GP I saw a few months ago advised me to come back with my OH next time.

wanting - your second line must be darker than the first line. This test is a negative so you haven't ovulated yet. You'll probably be around CD14 if you have a faint line now. I've got to do one later and I'm CD13, I'll post a pic so you can see how much darker it is.

AlexiaB · 13/10/2016 14:55

Jem test test test! Grin

skipper so pleased it went well and you now have a plan! Wahoo!

wanting as others have said the line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line to be a positive. It should say it on the instructions. Keep testing every day until it darkens, then test 2-3 times a day to catch your surge.

WantingBaby1 · 13/10/2016 15:03

Thanks ladies. Thought it was too good to be true! Over-keen to get cracking with DTD and TTC!

LondonJem · 13/10/2016 15:03

I'm so scared of testing ConfusedShock sorry I know I'm a wuss. It's 10 months of negative pregnancy tests! I feel like it's a curse!

I've got such a sore throat this afternoon out of nowhere.

Maybe test tonight? Or tomorrow morning? Do you think better to wait until morning?

InspectorPenguin · 13/10/2016 15:07

Use a FRER tonight and then the second in the morning! Grin

MrsLoz · 13/10/2016 15:13

I'm so excited for you Jem!

Still no AF here, still feeling terrible. However, my whole team is ill so could just be that.

Think I might pop to Asda on way home and get a test. So going to cave and do one tonight rather then wait for morning!

Any recommendations for test, I've not bought one before?

HepKestrel · 13/10/2016 15:15

LSFX for you jem!

wanting as others have said, you have to wait till the first line is darker than the second. however, to answer your question, yes it is possible to ovulate that early. I have ovulated on cd10 or 11 in the past.

AlexiaB · 13/10/2016 15:25

MrsLoz buy a FRER (First Response Early Result). Good luck!

Jem trust me I know the feeling, it's awful! As you're late though it makes sense. I'd test tonight because a line should show if you are.

sk1pper · 13/10/2016 15:46

wanting - don't wait to DTD, sperm can survive in your system for up to 5 days. You should be starting now ;)

Jem - it's up to you, you know your body better than anyone. If you think this is the one then buy a test, tonight if possible as we all want to know just as much as you lol

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 13/10/2016 17:32

Jem and Mrs I have everything crossed for you

I've had results from my bloods and it turns out I didn't ovulate last month which she said was normal for some women which I think I've read on here for some other ladies(?) but then I used OPKs religiously the month before and didn't get a single positive either so I am fairly worried but she is referring me so at least that's a positive. No news from DH SA yet, should be next week.

Was feeling quite positive this month too but now I know the witch is definitely arriving Sad

sk1pper · 13/10/2016 17:48

love - is that what they use the bloods for then? To check you ovulated? Are they just checKing for the same thing as the OPKs?

wanting - my OPK is rubbish so won't post a pic. I need to remember to stop going by Ovia as its not hugely accurate for me. FF has me down as ovulating at the weekend so can do it then but you may have ovulated before me by then.

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 13/10/2016 17:56

sk1pper it is one of the tests, the one for progesterone level. I think they do it on day 3ish and again on day 21. There's also others, thyroid, blood sugar/diabetes, blood level (not sure what that is). There's probably more but not sure what else?

AlexiaB · 13/10/2016 17:56

LoveYou really sorry to hear that Flowers It's great you're being referred though, they can certainly help you ovulate. How long have you been TTC? It was me who didn't ovulate last month, I did the month before though. I've read having an anovulatory cycle every now and then isn't too much to worry about but I'll be closing watching my chart this month. Would you try temping? Fx for your DH results too.
