Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Tenner, 29
TTC #1
Cycle 1
AF due in 4 days according to Ovia (not an entirely reliable timescale yet yet as I've only been tracking on Ovia for a month and a half and prior to that had the implant and AF was all over the place)

My paranoid thoughts concerns:
I didn't notice any ovulation signs but BD'ed like a mad thing anyway, so did I even ovulate? Who knows.

It's 4 days until AF is predicted, should I poas now or wait?

One part of my brain has convinced me that I'm one of those magical women who will get upduffed on her first ever attempt, other part of my brain is telling me the opposite.

Eeek!!!

Pugmummy87 · 08/10/2016 16:41

Music, i'd say your chart looks triphasic, looks really encouraging for a bfp.

My chart only has 2 temps on it this month because i've been ill and we really haven't dtd much at all, so i'll be expecting AF around the 21st i think.

I've been looking at fertility clinics today, Create do a female fertility MOT for £200 and couples for £290, which is one of the cheapest i've seen. Although if you want AMH or a HyCoSy you have to pay extra. Still the 3d scan of the uterus and also checking the bloodflow to the uterus and ovaries as well as counting the follicles sounds quite good and you get the results there and then. Even paying the extra £505 for AMH and HyCoSy is still cheaper than a more local clinic that offers all that.
Will get GP to do all the bloods etc first and then depending on results i may well go ahead and do this too.

Need to ring surgery monday and finally make a damn appointment.

Musicgrrl · 08/10/2016 17:00

Thanks for all the positive words guys. I was hopeful earlier in the cycle that I might get a BFP but now I feel that if I was going to get one it would have happened by now.

mouse for the last few times I've been testing with Superdrug early 10miu sticks which are really sensitive! Normal ones are 20 or 25miu I think. Nothing happens. They stay white as snow!

Alexia my last test was this morning! Been testing every other day this week. It's not good for my mental health though so going to try and hold off and save some money by just waiting for AF to show! How are you doing? Are you waiting for FW now?

Welcome to the mad house tenner! I would recommend temping to ascertain whether or not you have ovulated. Alexia wrote some temping tips a few pages back if you fancy it!

Pug those tests sound good and I think worth the money (if you have it!) for the answers they might give you. What cycle are you on? Will GP do your bloods at this stage?

Snarky we'll miss you. Pop back and see us when you feel up to it Flowers

Youowemeatenner · 08/10/2016 17:33

Thanks for the welcome music and also Alexia, the temping tips are great for a novice like me!

Any recommendations for thermometers? Apologies if it's already been asked

HepKestrel · 08/10/2016 18:38

wishing you well Snarky, stay away as much as you need. you are welcome back anytime Flowers

welcome tenner

AlexiaB · 08/10/2016 18:44

Music sorry, I should have looked at the test line of your chart. BFNs are the worstFlowers I agree about saving your money, and treat yourself to something nice instead. I really hope you get out of limboland soon! I'm okay, thanks for asking. I'm only on cd4 and not expecting to Ov for a while yet. Getting nervous for DH SA on Monday but first we have our 7 year anniversary to celebrate tomorrow!

Welcome Tenner glad you found the tips helpful (they're on page 14 in case anyone else needs them). I bought my BBT thermometer on ebay for about £4 delivered and it's been great. Just make sure whichever one you buy shows 2 decimal places, not one - ie. 36.25

Really hard day. Spent day with my grandma, she's holding on but we're not sure how long. She is emotional about it and I think she feels she is saying goodbye to people. She called my name and said she had made me a baby cardigan - she knits beautifully - and asked me whether we are having a boy or a girl Sad I really lost it and said "we're working on it gran". Can't bear the thought of losing her, and want more than ever to get pregnant to have some good news for my family Sad AF coming next week will be extra hard this month I think.

MouseLove · 08/10/2016 19:45

Alexia I have no idea. Temped a little later than usual but no alcohol or anything that could effect it. Maybe my body just got cosy lol.

Hey tenner welcome to the madhouse. Yes, POAS lol. Although don't worry if you get AF this first cycle. I think a few of us are in the same position on Cycle 1. Lol. (Waves) Grin

sk1pper · 08/10/2016 20:18

london - I'm really sorry to hear your gran isn't doing well, but it's lovely that she's made you something. I hope your gran fights back and surprises you further, stay strong xx

I've had a terrible bout of painful acne along my chin. Even as a teenager I never got spots so this is all new for me. Bought some face scrub (which I love) and feederm gel. Its definitely from all those vits I took the other night, my body's way of telling me to stop I think. Well I'm listening... :(

MrsG280516 · 08/10/2016 20:23

Oh Jem I'm so sorry Flowers try not to put pressure on yourself, it would be lovely to have some happy news but it doesn't have to be right now

Mummyh2016 · 08/10/2016 21:29

Hi everyone. Done a test tonight as couldn't wait any longer. The line is there, is really faint though. Can't decide how I feel. Don't want to get too excited in case the line fades away next time I test. Going to do another one first thing tomorrow. Does anyone think the line could be too faint though?

HepKestrel · 08/10/2016 21:30

Jem so sorry for you and your gran. Flowers

HepKestrel · 08/10/2016 21:37

Mummy i think i see it ??? congratulations !

(can you do the trick of inverting the image?)

Musicgrrl · 08/10/2016 21:38

mummy there is no such thing as a too faint line!!! That's a BFP!! Congrats lady Smile

HepKestrel · 08/10/2016 21:38

there is no such thing as a false positive.

evap lines appear a long time after and are a different colour.

Pugmummy87 · 08/10/2016 21:40

Oh jem have a un MN hug. Thinking of you.

Music I'm on cycle 12 Sad looking likely that I'll be moving on to cycle 13. I was diagnosed with pcos 5 years ago, but I've never had any follow up with it. We've not used any contraception for almost 6 years now and no bfp, so I will be insisting that investigations are started as something is obviously amiss and I want to know is it the pcos (which I suspect it is) or something else.

Mummyh2016 · 08/10/2016 21:45

Thank you everyone!

hep how do I that, I have an iPhone if that changes things?

Sorry to hear about your Nan jem, I'm really close to my nan so can't even imagine how you're feeling.

Musicgrrl · 08/10/2016 21:47

Jem really sorry to hear about your grandma. She's really lucky to have you there with her.

HepKestrel · 08/10/2016 21:53

MrsG280516 · 08/10/2016 22:03

Congratulations mummyh!

WantingBaby1 · 08/10/2016 22:16

Congratulations!

AlexiaB · 08/10/2016 22:21

Congrats mummy

Jem Flowers thinking of you.

MouseLove · 09/10/2016 00:24

Congrats mummy!!!

I nipped out with DH around 5pm to grab some bits and we ended up grabbing a coffee in Costa. Now I don't know if there was an event or class or something but I saw not 1, not 2, not even 3 heavily pregnant ladies but 7. SEVEN!!!!! In the space of 30 mins all in the same area outside costa. I thought I was seeing things!!! I wouldn't bloody mind but the retail park where we were was pretty quiet and it was 5pm+ honestly googled to see if there was an anti-natal class or something in the area. ConfusedBlushBrew
