Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Kwick ahh that sounds so painful FlowersCake Hopefully you get good news about your other tube. My friend lost a tube recently due to an ectopic pregnancy and her Doctor also told her that the egg could enter either tube. I'd never heard that before! Crazy. Rest up and take careFlowers

Music looking at your chart I think you ovulated on cd31 which is why you haven't had AF yet. It matches up with your CM and temp rise, did you take an OPK on cd29/30? If true that would make you only 8dpo at the moment, obviously it's hard to know for sure until/if AF arrives. Looking at your BD I understand how you feel, hugs! I've been stung before by stopping BD too early so I now continue to BD at least every 3 days after O. I appreciate your DH was away and sick. If this month is a write off for you at least you know why and you can hit next month with new knowledge and power! Wink

AlexiaB · 03/10/2016 17:59

Binky it shouldn't matter as long as you see a positive on the different test. If in doubt DTD anyway to cover yourself.

notthere sorry to hear about your mcFlowers If you DTD 1-2 days before ovulation there's always a chance you could conceive, but it's probably best to keep an open mind so that you aren't upset if AF does arrive.

MouseLove · 03/10/2016 18:19

Alexia. Much appreciated. That info is FANTASTIC and exactly what I needed.

I'll be temping at 5am as that's what time I wake DH. Smile

Musicgrrl · 03/10/2016 18:43

alexia I really appreciate you taking the time to look. I suspect you might be right. Wish I had realised earlier before I wasted money testing relentlessly! God, this is depressing. Okay, new plan is large glass of wine tonight, wait for AF and then invoke Sod's law by dtd next month even though due date would coincide with two weddings I am bridesmaid at and would probably result in my two best friends disowning me. That has to work right??

Musicgrrl · 03/10/2016 18:43

mouse I second alexia's temping advice. Spot on!

AliceScarlett · 03/10/2016 19:13

Kwick eep, never again?

I'm opk ing everyday, ewcm but the opk couldn't be more negative. I've also come to the conclusion that cbfm are shit.

music Hycosy is when they check your tubes are clear. No point me doing anymore IUIs if they are not.

binky I just had bangers and mash and runner beans - yum!!! Have donut and cinnamon pastry at the ready for pudding Grin. I am taking it easy and I will leave packing for next trip until tomorrow morning.
Feel good one tube is ok...lets see what Dr says about other one. In any case it is full steam ahead for next IUI - but first need AF to come.
I am sure the Poundland ones are fine... do you have enough to do a "control"/"parallel run"?

Oooo not how exciting!!! To ovulate so soon after MC is amazeballs!! Hope to see a BFP from you tout suite!!

Wow Alexia you are a temping pro!!! Kinda wish I could temp now...Grin

Music sounds like you have a plan!!

MouseLove · 03/10/2016 19:57

Oh I love my new thermometer!! Haha. Already taken my temp 3 times. Hahaha. Grin

This is actually gonna be fun!! I'll be interested to see how hawt I am tomorrow morning. Wink

This place is a hive of activity!

So much to catch up on but I shall go for edited highlights.

First off though, has anyone heard from Snow? I was sure she'd have some good news from the other side of the Atlantic but don't think she's posted for months now. Hope that's because she got her BFP in the end...

Also, Stark, if you're reading, give us an update!

Kwik sounds like you were in the wars today you poor thing. I never imagined that procedure was painful but seems I was wrong! Hope the hot water bottle did the trick and you're feeling a bit better now. You've been through so much you really don't deserve this shit on top Flowers

Jem our cycles were always at different times of the month but we seem to have almost synced now - I'm 6 or 7DPO. Weird eh? Sounds like you and DH gave it a great shot and it was well worth him not going on that work trip. Fingers crossed for a quick TWW for both of us...
What was the outcome of the GP appointment for your DH today?

Hep I'm glad you're able to practise making babies even if you have a little longer to wait until TTC. Enjoy the time, and the lack of pressure, and do fun stuff you don't do when you're focusing on getting the swimmers in the right place Grin. Glad the office move for your OH looks likely - that will definitely help the whole process.
Good luck with CouchTo5k!

Sk1pper Sorry this isn't your month, and I hope the cramps have eased off for you now. Wine and cake for you.

Mouse your MIL sounds a nightmare. How shockingly rude. As for holidays etc, if it's something you'd both enjoy then just book it. Life is too short to put on hold. If you are preggers when it comes around then you'll still have fun, and having fun, memorable experiences is very important for any relationship; it builds the emotional intimacy which you'll really need when the kids come along.
Good luck with the temping!

User sorry you've had a touch journey so far. I assume you started in Jan 2015? I hope the tests give you some way to move forward but share here as much as you need for support.

Moose glad you're doing well!

Regarding telling people we're TTC, my DP was very excited when we decided to start in the new year and told most of his family and quite a few friends whereas I have only told 3 or 4 friends. I don't mind people knowing, it's not really a sensitive subject as I just think what will be will be.
I think more should talk about it really as it might help people to realise that conceiving is not as easy as society suggests and also make the subject of miscarriage a less taboo subject which could help those who go through it. I accept this a slightly controversial viewpoint though!

WingingIt83 · 03/10/2016 20:40

alexia I won't know yet as only on cd27, usually have 28 day cycles

MouseLove · 03/10/2016 20:54

Little update on the holiday situation, and thanks InspectorPenguin for prompting me....

We BOOKED!!! So were off to Rome next month for 3 days. We fly out on DH's 30th birthday. I think it will take my mind off the impending AF situation. I have calculated that If my cycles play ball and my AF comes at a normal time, it will be next weekend. And if nothing turns up... I'm going to take a test at the end of October. Since we fly out mid november it will give me a good idea of what my body is doing. Feeling happy!

jellyella · 03/10/2016 20:55

Hi everyone,

Just place-marking quickly as there's been lots of messages since I was last on. Been away with work and missed entire FW so that's the first cycle we've missed entirely (but strangely less stressful as a result, and a bit more Wine)

Hello to new faces and Flowers to those that need them.

As for me, can't remember how many cycles so far but it's been 16 or so months, waiting for an HSG test and then will start a three-month prescription of Clomid. Got baby-bombed with a close friend announcing she's expecting at the weekend - feel bad but I do feel a bit down about it. I think it's mainly because she knew we were having TTC issues and didn't let me know before announcing it in front of others. Sad Never mind, PMA and all that Smile

MrsG280516 · 03/10/2016 21:21

Sorry, I'm lurking and jumping from thread to thread here! We're off to Rome for my birthday in two weeks Mouse Smile we're there for four nights, I'm so looking forward to it.

InspectorPenguin · 03/10/2016 21:24

Mouse Rome sounds perfect. Good work!

Notyetthere · 03/10/2016 21:37

Alice - I haven't used the cbfm and I can't justify the expense. I use only the Internet cheapies and after coming off the pill, they have been pretty accurate with me. I always thought that if we didn't conceive in 3 to 6 months then I would try it but we then conceived during cycle 2. Obviously things are a bit messed up now it I'm still opk'ing until AF arrives just to get an idea what is going on with my hormones since mc (or I have an aversion to peeing on sticks).

Mouse - Alexa's advise on temping is very clear. I have also now got a thermometer so I might start using it.

Inspector - I agree with you on talking about it more openly. I told a couple of my friends and my mother that we TTC. I mc the day before we were meant to tell PIL and SIL at 6 weeks and I hated having to tell them the bad news. I believe I should have told them earlier too; to share the good news and not just when I need support during the bad times.

MouseLove · 03/10/2016 21:59

MrsG - OMG, Message me!! Have you planned anything? We come home early on day 4 so I'm only counting 3 days!!

Notyethere - Get tempin' love ha!

Im in this kinda mood... COME ON girls we can do this, I challenge you to 1 session of spontaneous DTG this week... surprise your OH, surprise yourself, enjoy the act without any pressure! LSFX!!!!! Halo

sk1pper · 03/10/2016 22:06

So so low right now. Mum called tonight, she had absolutely no idea her condition caused infertility. She also said that she had been having unprotected sex for about 2 years before she was "flushed out" and then it took another 18 months to conceive me when they actually started trying. She also had to have a hysterectomy at 33 because her parts were so clogged up, it was pointless to go through the pain of menstruation every month.

I just started crying on the phone, I'm 30 next year. I've got the terrible feeling I've left it all too late. Mums coming down Wednesday night, I haven't exactly told her I'm TTC but I'm sure she's worked it out by now.

I just had a fit or rage and threw all my stuff in the bin, the EPO capsules, Pregnacare, thermometer. OH has just removed it all from the bin and put it on the side, complete over reaction on my part but I don't know how to express what I'm feeling.

Sorry I haven't caught up on the thread yet, just needed to blurt that all out. Hope everyone's okay x

AlexiaB · 03/10/2016 22:11

Mouse glad to have helped, and I love that you're excited to tempGrin Rome will be amazing!

Music let's hope sod's law does the trick. I hope you got your large glass of Wine Meant to ask earlier, are you not using a BBT thermometer (with 2 decimal places)? I noticed all your temps were on the line.

wing okay, keep me posted :)

MrsG280516 · 03/10/2016 22:13

Mouse we're not that into the museums and things but we have tickets for the Vatican etc booked for the first morning after we arrive and I also have a food tasting tour booked. We're staying near the Trevi Fountain so hoping to just be able to wander around and enjoy the sights!

Lots of prosecco as we're just being relaxed about TTC this month! WineI'm the worst for planning holidays, we love to travel. We have a trip to NY booked for Jan and then Santorini in May Blush hopefully the trip in May will be a babymoon!

MrsG280516 · 03/10/2016 22:15

Sorry to hear about your mums history sk1pper but it doesn't necessarily mean that will happen to you, try to stay positive Flowers

AlexiaB · 03/10/2016 22:17

Oh Skipper you poor thingFlowers sending big hugs to you! I wouldn't panic just yet until it's been confirmed whether you have endometriosis or not. I know there's links to it being hereditary but it doesn't mean that you do have it. I know it must have been a huge shock to hear that from your mum though, don't forget she still conceived you so there's hope. Keep positive and I hope you get the answers you need very soonFlowers

MouseLove · 03/10/2016 23:48

Sk1pper. Sending massive hugs. The feelings of leaving it too late creep in with me. I'm 33 next month. Getting upset and stressed will do nobody any favours. It sounds like you need to refocus and relax. We often forget that this shouldn't be a chore, it should be a fun and enjoyable process. Don't beat yourself up and certainly don't compare yourself directly to your mum.

My mum has dropped some major bombs on me recently. She told me she started the menopause at 40... but she failed to tell me it was because she had to have an ovary removed after having my sister at aged 38.

You make your own path, carve your own trees and leave behind your own magic. I have no doubt that you'll be a Mum in whatever form it takes. Be positive, keep smiling and say to yourself. I CAN, I WILL. xxx

MouseLove · 03/10/2016 23:51

MrsG sounds great. We will probably do the Vatican museums, colosseum and ruins. All the famous sights. Just trying to find a good hotel tonight. Difficult as there's so many to choose from!!

geeup · 04/10/2016 07:23

Sk1p try not to worry too much. Treatment for endo has come on leaps and bounds. I know a friend with terrible endo who has three children now, although it took her a while to have the first one, all three came naturally in the end. She just had her third at 38!

Musicgrrl · 04/10/2016 07:57

Oh skipper I'm so sorry you're feeling down. I second what the girls say about how you've got plenty of time (most of us here seem to be over 30 - well I am!) and there's not reason to assume that you will take the same time as your mum did. And of course she had you! Glad your OH got your stuff out of the bin for this morning Smile

mouse how was first morning of temping? I hope it helps you start to build up a picture of your ov pattern.

kwick your dinner last night sounded amazing and just what was needed! I did a similar thing and had chocolate cake for dessert Cake

alexia my thermometer is just to one decimal place. I figured it shouldn't matter too much as you'll still see the overall trend and I'm not sure what the error margin is on them anyway? Do you find it better to have two?
