MAD HATTERS AND MARCH HARES????? IN HERE!

1000 replies

Ready · 02/02/2007 15:16

Or should that read Mad TTCers and March Hopefuls??

Thought that I would start a March thread as from tomorrow I will no longer be eligible for the February thread. Of course I will be lurking and keeping fingers crossed for those still in with a shout... but it's time to move on.

Who's with me???

I did last month as i wasn't that sure of my dates. but i did 3 i think and were all bfn but i had convinced myself that i was pg. I have relaxed abit this month my thinking is if it happens it happens as this is only month 2 of trying. I was really shocked that i m/c because i had two ok pg's before.

Found out a relative is pg, but had bleeding and thought she lost it but later found out she'd lost a twin and still had one still in there. I was happy for her but abit miffed at the same time. I think that's why i was so obsessed with it last month. I think m/c happen more than i realised and thought it wouldn't happen to me attitude. Sad thing is if i do get pg i am gonna be worried that i'm gonna m/c again. So gonna try to take each day as it comes.

Is there success after m/c?

PinkElephant · 18/02/2007 12:36

Hi Pinkslippers - we should be the pink ladies !! I fully understand your fears of another m/c as I had an ectopic at the New Year and I'll be terrified in case it happens again. We can't start TTC until April so I'm sure I'll be feeeling a combination of excitement and fear too by then. Lots of luck to you

PinkElephant · 18/02/2007 12:37

scorpio - thanks for the warm welcome. It's good to be back....but so many different names now I'll have to get to know you all. I'll be popping in and out as we're not able TTC just yet.

Ready · 18/02/2007 12:43

Thanks scorpio/pinkelephant.

pinkelephant i wish you luck in April, That's my birthday month too.

Do you girls ever get fed up of thinking constantly of babies?? Do you think it's nature or our brains?

When i had my m/c i knew there was something wrong,my instinct was telling me but thought i was just being paranoid. Turned out my instinct was right.

scorpio1 · 18/02/2007 17:26

Well dp won his fight, and has no injuries so we can still shag later (even though i dont think its nessecary anymore)!

I don't feel all that great today got a bit of tummy ache and back ache and my boobs hurt.im not used to having normal cycles where i ovulate i think (hormonal lady here!).

And i've just worked out that dp isnt home in the evenings(or days) until a week friday!! next weekend he's going to see his ds,(fri-sun)so im home alone for a whole weekend on my own during the 2ww (oh the fun). And most evenings he goes boxing training.guess i will be on here lots then i think he said he will take a night off training for me though

Today i have had to watch Toy Story with ds's-its not too bad really!Going to try and have a rest tonight-maybe a bottle of bud too

Greenblock · 18/02/2007 17:35

don't turn down a shag - you never know!

Greenblock · 18/02/2007 17:40

visitors gone so no need to be quiet anymore!

plummymummy - has your energy come back yet?

pinkslippers · 18/02/2007 17:53

hope you feel better soon scorpio

gillian1973 · 18/02/2007 17:53

Hi all,
firstly I would like to join the 'I give up on OPKs' club that seems to be forming. CD17 and still no luck and given that I have a 26 day cycle I am now stressing that I have such a short luteal phase that I will never conceive again. I am also worried I have not ovulated this month, or worse still, that my cycle is still all over the place after I thought it had finally settled back to normality. Life is too short to stress like this!!!!

Hi to all the newbies, welcome to our lovely and hopeful, if rather insane gang.

Pinkslippers, so sorry about your loss and yes there are many, many success stories after mc. There is a 'pregnancy after mc' thread in the pregnancy section with several graduates from the TTC threads. Have a look at it and be inspired - I often do.

Like you this is my second cycle of trying. I mc at 9 wks in Oct, it was our first baby. After a little break we decided to go for it again in the new year and here we are. I know that when I do fall pregnant I will be elated but also terribly worried, but that's nature and I will have to learn to cope with it.

Ready · 18/02/2007 17:56

Gillian, I got a faint line again today, really annoyed that I even tried these sodding things!! Having a thoroughly poo day actually. Down in the dumps and totally pessimistic, all cos of these blooming expensive plastic sticks

How many people actually spend money to be this annoyed?? Madness.

OP posts:
pinkslippers · 18/02/2007 17:59

is that for a pg test or ov test??

thanks i will look at that page.

Btw how do you know when you are ovulating?? Is there any signs apart from doing tests??

pinkslippers · 18/02/2007 18:01

Good luck gillian i'll be keeping out fingers crossed for both of us.

On the other hand i feel bad that i've got 2dc and want another one. When people are finding it hard to have one. Life seems so unfair at times.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

gillian1973 · 18/02/2007 18:02

Ready, I would have to crack open another pack if I tested today, but I don't think I'll bother. I'll either take them back to Boots and get my money back or see if I am in a more optimistic mood next month and try again.

Other than that it has been a lovely day....

scorpio1 · 18/02/2007 18:02

give up on the sticks . . . .

they stressed me out massively.have no more left and never want them again

Gillian, have you been checking your CM ? this gave me the best indicator,i found opk's useless. i googled it to learn somemore on it!

Grrenblock-are you a screamer??!! sorry if

Ready, anything else wrong or just a hoorid day in general?

Greenblock · 18/02/2007 18:03

yes, that's what I want to know.

egg white cervical mucus

temperature changes

what else?

scorpio1 · 18/02/2007 18:03

sorry for my typing!

Greenblock · 18/02/2007 18:04

Nooooooo! Then the neignours would hear! But not entirely silent either ...

ANYwayyyyyy

scorpio1 · 18/02/2007 18:06

this is another sign

pinkslippers · 18/02/2007 18:12

thanks girlies. I think it might be my time now then.

ohhh i amm really really trying not to get carried away again. so hard.

peanutbutter · 18/02/2007 18:35

Another here who can't be arsed with the sticks anymore. i'm just going on CM for now i think.

Dh has been away for a week and is back tonight, and luckily for him it's the start of the heave-ho week .

I bumped into a woman who was at some of my hv talks when ds was just a few months old - her baby was same age - and she's heavily pregnant with her second. I had such a strong feeling of jealousy, almost bitterness - isn't that pathetic? I bollocked myself as I walked home with ds in the pram.

anyway, not long til we're into March and hopefully more of us will get good news.

scorpio1 · 18/02/2007 18:37

don't bollock yourself-babies are hard to ignore (mother nature can be a bitch)

Happy shag shag shag

peanutbutter · 18/02/2007 18:54

You're right of course scorpio. And happy shagshagshag to any other lucky lucky ladies approaching their week.....
