I'm new to mumsnet and thought I would jump on the September thread.

Finished my last pack of Microgynon last week and started with my withdrawal bleed today. Don't know a lot about the whole cycles process but Google has been my friend today!

I know you should wait a month really before TTC after coming off the pill but me and DH have decided to just go with the flow and see what happens. I have been taking the pill for 10 years so will be interesting to see how quickly my cycles come back or if we are one of the lucky ones who conceive first time.

We haven't been preventing pg since last year so actually trying for longer with a chemical pregnancy/ early miscarriage in May 16. And I'm waiting to get an ultrasound as I've had abdominal pain since then.

Here's hoping that sept is lucky for all!

Tree - I'm doing SMEP too this cycle, cd6 at the moment so were similar. I'm worried it's going to be too tiring, we don't normally do consecutive days at all. You'll have to let me know how you find it.

Well after taking my last pill on Wednesday I'm still waiting for AF to arrive 😏. Thought I might get some kind of post pill symptoms however all I can report is the worst cramps I have ever experienced on Friday night and since then nada. Ok maybe a zillion spots too 😫. What is the SMEP - is there a link to it?

I'm the same as you in that respect, neither of us have huge libidos and planning to do it doesnt help so it's actually quite hard to stick with, and we both work long hours so we do have to plan.

The last time we dtd every day or other day for the whole month was April 2015 and I ended up coming on a lot earlier than usual, don't know what happened there. Must admit I did enjoy it but have never quite been able to repeat that performance!!!
It's shameful how long ago that was

What cycle are you on?

sewing Sperm meets egg plan (SMEP) I found out about it from MN and essentially it's dtd on alternative days for a month (with consecutive days during fertile period in between).

So today just after 8am I posted on this thread that I'm not tracking ovulation. Fast forward to now and I've just ordered a bunch of ovulation sticks off amazon.

Tree - no not shameful, it's okay to be happy with the amount of sex you are having (or are not having) despite what TV and magazines tell us. But it's worth stepping up the game a little when you are trying to conceive. I'm cycle 13 now, cycles are relatively standard so I'm hoping it's just a matter of time.

Lalaland - ha ha famous last words, did you get the cheapies with the green bands? Everyone seems to be using those - I certainly am :)

Yup - cheap green ones. Not the cheapest seller as I also wanted free next day delivery with Amazon prime. I've become crazy already haven't I!?

Hi moonlight CD7 for me, other people are similar cycle days to us so lots of us testing around the same time this month!

Is this positive or is the test line still too light. Hubby is away till thu night so can't dtd till then!

lalaland I'd say it could get a lot darker but that's my experience.

Yeah it should be as dark or darker than the test line. Probably in the next 48 hours I'd say

Defo on your way there lala fx for you that the timing is right! I dont opk so not 100% sure but am I right in thinking that you get the peak the day before you ovulate anyway? So even if you get the positive you should dtd the next day so should be about right for you :)

skipper will be nice to be testing at the same time, fx for a lot of BFPs!

My opk test today is much much lighter. Maybe I have already ovulated. Who knows.
