Hello everyone, coming over from the August bus. AF started this morning, 2 days earlier than I anticipated. So...

TTC #1
Cycle 4
CD1
Due to test: 6th Sept

Will be going cold turkey and doing my best not to test until AF is due this time. Psychologically I can't manage the disappointment otherwise. Our family know we are TTC, and they are being lovely, but I think they didn't expect it to take long for us. Both sets of parents and brother in law have all conceived on their first go, so I don't think they know how to support us, or quite understand what we are experiencing. Sorry, rant over. Hope this is a lucky bus for you all!

Vanillaradio · 08/08/2016 18:18

Hi all.
Jumping on from August bus after af arrived this morning.
Ttc #2
Cycle 3
Cd 1.
Testing around about 6th September.
Fx for this month for all

BakerJ · 08/08/2016 19:36

Evening all,

I'm jumping on board from the August bus as AF arrived this morning.

I'm TTC #1 and so disappointed to be onto cycle 4 so have decided to just focus on looking after myself this month and am rejoining the gym to take my mind of TTC.

michy just noticed our stats are the same, I'm also starting cycle 4 and due to test 6th sept! X

MishyBakes · 08/08/2016 20:00

Glad we can be cycle buddies Baker! I started running three weeks ago (after acl rehab), so I'm with you on the exercise/distraction technique Smile

Sewingupa5torm · 08/08/2016 20:03

Hey ladies- I was just wondering if anyone had made any major changes to their diet when they started TTC? I don't have a majorly unhealthy diet but am really not clued up at all about things to eat more/less of! Any advice would be great 😊

babydances · 10/08/2016 17:20

Hi ladies,

I know we aren't technically trying at the moment until the autumn but this week is my Fw and I just had a blob of EWCM! I was excited for a second and then remembered we aren't trying :(

But at least my cycles seem to be on track after having the implant out 6 weeks ago Smile
Apologies for invading the bus. I was just excited and have no where to sharpen

Hi all,

Plodding over from the August bus, AF arrived 2 days early. Pretty disappointed (as usual) but not at all surprised now - I didn't even both to test for pg last cycle, doesn't seem to be much point wasting my money.

So that's the negative stuff out the way. My next course of action is to rebook an appointment with my GP to force them to start tests (they pretty much refused when I went on Monday and told me to come back in 6-12 months). Also trying SMEP this month if I can get away with it, as DH and I are staying at his parents house in Spain in my fertile week. Eek!

Here's my details
Age: 28
Ttc #1
Cycle #13
Cd #1

Wifey1990 · 10/08/2016 21:05

Now the witch is gone I'm on the bus for sept.

TTC- 1
26 years
PCOS
Had lap dye 14th July to reopen both my tubes.
We can do this Smile

Sewingupa5torm · 11/08/2016 07:38

sk1pper that's rubbish your doctor dismissed you! Surely if you have been trying over a year (which I assume you have as 13 cycles...) then they have to refer you? I'm sure you will manage to find some alone time in Spain though! Would be amazing to get away to see the sun!

Well that's my last poll taken now... Let's hope I'm not waiting too long until my body remembers what to do!!

Jjspoon · 11/08/2016 19:54

Hey all :) jumping on board.

27
TTC#1
Stopped the pill in April after 12 years on it.
Cycle #2 ( /#4) got a BFP cycle 2 then had mc at 7 weeks. AF arrived this morning so cd1 cycle 2 since mc and hoping 2 is all it takes again though I think we were extremely lucky last time!

mishy I remember you from another thread a few months ago but can't remember which one so hello again!

Fx everyone!

RubyFlamingo · 12/08/2016 12:09

Excuse me, sorry, excuse-.., no I don't mind sitting over the wheel arch and getting that weird motion-sicky feeling. I am getting on this bus!

New to these boards but not to the ttc game, we are finally trying for #2, my DS just turned five last month. I've come off the Microgynon 30 and am good to go!

Hello everyone!

sk1pper · 12/08/2016 12:26

Sewing - I've had a lot of advice from people on the forum telling me to go back and force them to run tests which I'm going to do. DH is coming along this time so it'll be two against one. Still optimistic I can conceive naturally though.

Welcome to everyone who's joined recently! Xx

MishyBakes · 12/08/2016 14:18

ski1pper, I'm so suprised they haven't offered you any tests. I went to see my GP this week to ask for some advice, and they've said they'll start the non invasive tests if I still haven't conceived at cycle 8/8months (whatever comes first). It may be worth asking if any of the GPs at your practise have a special interest in fertility/obstetrics/gynae, as they may know the local guidelines better as to when to refer. I hope things happen for you soon.

Hi Jj! Hope you're okay lovely. And welcome Ruby Smile

CinnabarMoth1 · 12/08/2016 14:56

Not sure if this is the right bus, but I'm getting on it!

27
TTC #1
Cycle #1 after stopping the pill (ovranette) last month
CD 28...

Been on the pill for 11 years so no idea what to expect in terms of my cycle. I know it's recommended to wait one cycle before trying... but we went ahead and Baby Danced several times over what would have been my FW if I went straight back to having a textbook 28 day cycle - which seems unlikely. I have no memory of what my cycle was like when I was 16... Just very very heavy periods which I am dreading having again!

So far I've had no pill withdrawal symptoms, and no bleeding. I've not tested yet... Going to wait another week. My mum tried for a year with me after coming off the pill after a similar amount of time (she was 32 though), so not expecting an Aug BFP although I suppose it's possible.

DH (that means husband right?!) works away on a 28 day shift pattern, 5 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 off etc etc so we are hoping it's going to line up with my FWs in a good way... Could be tricky if not.

I'm in a very career focused friendship group (lots are single too) and nobody else is really near thinking about TTC so nice to have some people in the same boat/bus to talk to Smile

sk1pper · 12/08/2016 15:07

Well my GP said that she didn't want to put me through tests as they can be stressful and normally have a detrimental effect to people who can conceive naturally. She asked me about my cycle, whether I get any pelvic pain, how often we DTD, whether we smoke/drink and our weights and said that we would likely conceive naturally in the next 6 months.

I get what she's saying but I'm now in a minority group for conception length. Especially as I'm still under 35. I wouldnt mind waiting another 6-12 months if my GP could guarantee I will conceive but they can't and that's my problem. Anyway, I'm glad I have you ladies on here because it's very useful to know that nearly everyone else on here has been referred after 12 months :) I'll get it sorted !

Purplefairy21 · 12/08/2016 17:35

I'm finally braving up and joining the bus. Depending on what calendar I look at depends on when af would be due and when fw is so hiding out on the September one. Ttc #2 and unfortunately last dc :( I need an operation on my hips and pelvis which will mean I can't have anymore children not even via c-section. Since the doc has told me this op will mean no more children it's kind of put a baby boom in my head big time. Keeping fx for a bfp that sticks.

CinnabarMoth1 · 14/08/2016 14:52

Properly sat down on the bus now... First AF post-pill has arrived 30 days after the start of my withdrawal bleed. Pleased to have something going on! We are going to try SMEP this month which DH is pretty pleased about (me too - since my libido has come back from being suppressed by the pill) - but also trying hard not to get too excited because it sounds like it could take a long time to get a BFP - and who knows what the pill has been covering up all this time.

Does anyone have any experience using menstrual cups after BD? I use a mooncup for AF and am a total convert - have read that a few people have used them to keep the swimmers swimming in the right direction with some success!

Eva30 · 15/08/2016 08:08

Goldfish99 · 15/08/2016 08:17

Morning ladies,

Been lurking for a few weeks waiting to hop on the Sept bus. AF started yesterday 2 days early on my birthday of all days the witch!!

So about me:
34
TTC #1
Cycle #2
CD2
Average cycle length 24 days

Last month only managed to DTD once during fertile week OH got a bit freaked out when I went from being a once or twice a week kinda girl to a nymphomanic lol! So much for trying to stay relaxed about it and see what happens! And despite knowing I had very little chance I was still madly symptom spotting in the 2ww - hopefully you ladies can help keep me sane this month!

lalaland1985 · 15/08/2016 08:43

Taking my seat!

Age: 31
Ttc: #1
I've been tracking my cycles the past couple months and they seem to average between 30 and 35 days. I have not tracked ovulation. My last period was July 30th. Hoping to get to grips with the lingo here too! Blush

I am taking quite a relaxed approach just now. We were not going to start trying till after a holiday in September but we have ran out of condoms and decided to just go with it!

I came off the pill about a year ago as I knew we would ttc after we got married.

The plan is to have sex every 2-3 days. We have also been taking conception vitamins. The complicating factor is that DH is away two nights a week just now for work Confused

I would be incredibly lucky if I conceived this month but there is hope!

So excited to be on this journey with you all. GrinGrin

FlashingLights · 15/08/2016 12:30

AF has arrived after having my implant out for less than a week, I expected a longer wait so I am hoping my cycles will regulate straight away but I know that's wishful thinking. Fingers crossed for everyone!
